The service I received from this business and its manager was incredibly disappointing and caused unnecessary stress during what should have been one of the happiest times of my life. When we arrived to pick up my dress, we waited over 30 minutes before the manager even acknowledged us. Once we were finally helped, my dress was nowhere near ready to go home. It still had safety pins attached and visible markings all over it. Throughout every fitting appointment, there was bright blue marker all over my dress. I was repeatedly assured that the markings were easy to remove and that they would disappear before the wedding. Later, the manager even told me that she had gotten rid of the blue markers because they were actually difficult to remove. Despite being promised that everything would be taken care of, I arrived out of town for my wedding only to discover that there was still highlighter-blue marker all over my gown. Instead of enjoying the night before my wedding with excitement and joy, I spent it crying while my family tried to remove the ink from my dress. No bride should have to experience that. Your wedding dress is one of the most important garments you will ever wear, and you trust your alterations team to handle it with professionalism and care. Sadly, that trust was completely broken. Because my experience there was excellent, I trusted their recommendation and chose Tailored In White for my alterations. Unfortunately, that decision ended up being a major disappointment. Since I had never been married or had formal alterations done before, I wasn't sure what was standard practice. I was required to pay the full cost of alterations upfront at my very first appointment and schedule all future fitting appointments in advance. I work a traditional 9-5 job, so I consistently scheduled the latest appointments available. Before nearly every appointment, I received texts asking whether I could come in earlier. If late appointments are offered, clients should not feel pressured to change them simply because the staff would prefer to leave earlier. Another issue arose when the company moved locations. I never received an email, letter, or formal notification about the move. Instead, I received a casual text message the day before my appointment informing me of the new location. Had I known earlier, I would have preferred to pick up my dress and wait until they were fully settled before continuing alterations. At my Stage 3 fitting, I was unable to try on my dress because another bride was using the fitting area. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, I was told I could change in a small office with a tiny mirror, which completely defeated the purpose of the fitting. When I requested to reschedule, I was then told it would give my seamstress more time to finish my dress, suggesting the dress was not actually ready for the appointment. At the rescheduled Stage 3 appointment on March 31, I arrived early only to find that a different seamstress was assisting me. The alterations tag had somehow been sewn into my dress, preventing the zipper from opening properly and causing an additional 20-minute delay. My original seamstress, Emani, had sewn cups into my dress that provided no support whatsoever. The new seamstress, who had been brought in from the Texas location, agreed that the cups had been poorly installed and refunded that portion of the alterations cost. The final and most disappointing issue was the condition of my dress on my wedding day. When I inspected it on May 24, I noticed visible blue alteration markings still present on the fabric. I immediately called and left a message requesting a manager to contact me. I called again on June 5 and was told a manager would return my call on June 8. I never received a call or voicemail. At that point, all I wanted was for the company to take responsibility and have the dress professionally cleaned at their expense. Instead, my concerns were ignored. A bride should not have to worry about alteration markings remaining on her wedding dress. Quality control should have caught something as obvious as blue fabric markings before the dress was returned. Between the communication issues, scheduling problems, unfinished work, and lack of follow-up, my experience was extremely disappointing. I have attached photos for reference. I would strongly encourage future brides to thoroughly research their alteration options before choosing this business.
