I've been enjoying this store for years. My first visit was back in 2009 and boy was I excited to see a whole store of Prana goods (on my first voyage to Boulder). I must say that the purse I picked up all those years ago still looks brand new! This store has amazing sales throughout the year, some offering savings up to 50% off! Whoa! Often times these sales are often accompanied by food and personal product demos as well as free beverages. Since moving to Boulder I've attended loads of events that Prana hosts & co-hosts (acro yoga, clothing stylist workshops, blind cafe yoga, chai making workshop, and countless fitness classes). They have a lovely space under the store that hosts many of these offerings. They have some cool and awesome ambassador's as well. My favorite one (that I got to meet in the store & have sign autograph my climbing helmet) was professional climber Chris Sharma. Swoon! While the yoga classes used to be donation based, they are now offered daily for free (amazing, especially here in Boulder). Mats and props are also there for you to use for free. Just be sure to sign the waiver (if it's your first class) and sign in on the class registration sheet. I highly recommend dropping into this store for all your clothing needs. They honestly do have something for every body and the staff are amazing at making suggestions and helping you find something that's flattering and the right size. Went into prAna last night to see about getting some new clothes. I'm a pretty petite girl and finding pants that fit is a struggle, so seeing that they had 00/24 was the best! I was visiting Boulder this past weekend and stepped into the Prana store to see if I could get a zipper repaired and to do some shopping for an upcoming trip. I'm so glad I did!!! The store was incredibly busy but somehow the staff managed to make me feel like I was the only shopper. Taylor, the manager, helped me with my zipper repair. I wasn't really expecting that anything could be done but I thought it was worth a try. She not only got me set up with the repair but she also took my address to have it shipped directly to my home. Then she took the time to show me around the store so that I knew how everything was organized. Once I started shopping Lainey stepped in. I managed to accumulate more than I had planned but she had it all neatly hung and ready to go when I stepped into the dressing room. She kept checking in with me offering to get different sizes, colors and styles based on my feedback about my current selections. She shared her opinion when I asked but also gave me the time I needed to sort through all of the items I had chosen. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Overall, Prana offered a five star shopping experience. In my opinion, they do an exceptional job with their hiring and should be proud of their staff at this location. I go in to buy some shorts and the sales clerk is really nice. The shorts are too big and i ask for the next size down which they don't have on the floor so the sales woman says she go check. I'm waiting for ten minutes. Another sales person comes up to se if I need help and I explain what's going on. Well turns out in a non busy store the other sales person forgot. This is one of the athletic/casual stores I like to browse on Pearl. Even thought there is much prAna merchandise in other stores around Boulder, this company store has some exclusives. Occasionally I find something just perfect for the need when I have looked everywhere else first. This week I found just the casual style jacket I was looking for. In this town, most outerwear seems to be athletic or dressy and not much in between. The staff is just barely friendly, usually preoccupied with stock work. But the space is not so large that I cannot look for myself. One staff member did help me this time as I could not find the color and size I wanted or even reach the hooks the jackets were hung on. read more

Excellent eco-minded yoga & active lifestyle shop! The goods are wonderfully made, albeit a bit pricey. My husband can find really nice t-shirts here (that are breathable enough for him), and I could live in their Bliss skirt or yoga pants. The store is really nice inside, very clean & relaxing. The location couldn't be better, except that parking is sometimes an issue. Wish we had one of these closer to where I live now! Check it out, but be ready to drop a bit of cash. It's worth it, though! The essentials they sell are well-constructed and will last you awhile! PS: I have never been to any of their free yoga classes, but I did see that they offer quite a few. We are lucky to have the only Prana store besides the first in the Bay Area. I first started seeing Prana stuff in REI and other outdoor stores over 10 years ago. Originally bouldering-focused climber-wear, I think, they now also focus on yoga and just plain active, nature/outdoor apparel & accessories. Recent years they have tried to move more upscale - think eco-yuppie, and their new store in Boulder certainly reflects that aesthetic, with green construction and natural/recycled materials. Think a more modern Patagucci for lifestyle, with nicer color palettes and graphics, sometimes with a small touch of hipster style. I think the store is pretty attractive and nice, though it only carries a fraction of their line for men and women. Sizing for all their garments can vary quite a bit (slim-fit sometimes way too tight), so now I find it helpful to size by trying on at this store, but ordering online from their (or another) website, where the selection is better. I've been pleased with the customer service and shipping from buying online, though the brick & mortar staff here have also been pretty friendly and helpful. Things I like include comfortable shorts with *gusset crotch*, lightweight cotton tees and collared shirts, wicking material active tops, and fleecy winter tops + hoodies. read more

Their clothes are great looking on the hanger but the one shirt I purchased here (a halter top for yoga) began pilling immediately and developed a hole in the side after about three wears. At lululemon prices, I feel it's not to much to ask to be able to wash & wear normally with no extra pampering. This was last year and I decided to give this place a chance again this year. Not only did I have to track down an employee for a fitting room (who seemed put out to have to wave toward a room), everything looked terrible on. Yeah, yeah, maybe it's me, but an $80 pair of yoga pants should be flattering and not show everything. The tops all did the "you used to have two boobs and now you have four!" look. Hooray! It's like paying $60 for a top and then getting a bonus in the front. On the flip side, the sports bra I tried on (same size as four-boob tops) was kind of saggy and didn't really seem to hold anything up. Yet another reason I remain a lulu devotee: same prices but the exact opposite of everything this place offered in terms of clothing durability/fit and overall experience/staff friendliness. I'll probably still admire their clothes on a hanger from afar, but would be very hesitant to ever purchase anything. read more

Prana is a beautiful store, but I feel the prices are way too high and out of my budget. Why I am writing this review however is for the yoga classes. I feel that donation-based yoga is such a sweet gift to give to the Boulder community. If you are looking for a great teacher, no matter what level, you must take Rash's class. It is more on the advanced level as a heads up. There is a wonderful flow to his class and he has a great selection of music that really transforms you into your practice. If you are looking for more of a yoga practice on the spiritual side though, I would then recommend taking Sheila's class. She had us dedicate our practice to a loved one (or to ourselves) and we chanted and meditated before and after the class. I would highly recommend yoga at Prana. This is also a great place to meet friends. I was new to Boulder when I began attending classes and met lovely people here. Just remember it is donation - based though. I heard from a friend that it was free and remember when I first went, I didn't see the bucket. Then the following time I attended a class, I noticed it and felt awful that I didn't pay for the first class (I ended up leaving my donation up front with the girl at the desk for that teacher). I stopped in the other day as I had a gift card I needed to cash in and was curious to see what they had available. I had never shopped at prAna before and assumed by the name that they were a yoga apparel company. I was right - to an extent. The colors of the women's apparel is vibrant and feminine, but not exactly my style. I'm 27 and found that a majority of the clothes available were suited for women much older than I. Think of this store as a yoga based Title Nine. I picked up a soft cotton yoga tank that I intended to use while running. The prices are VERY high here. The average price for a workout tank is $60 and black running shorts start at $55. The store definitely caters to the older women in Boulder, but I don't see myself shopping here regularly. The staff was SO SO friendly and helpful. The location of this store is ideal - right on the Pearl Street Mall. I also saw that they have yoga classes in the store, which I would take full advantage of if I lived within walking distance of the store. read more

After years of walking by, I finally stopped into PrAna because of the awesome Black Friday sale they were having. I must say, this has some of the friendliest staff I've ever experienced in town, with everyone overly willing to help find what youre looking for or offer suggestions. The clothes here are pricey but made with gorgeous wool and soft cotton. The day I came in happened to have a great sale going so we ended up purchasing several items for 30% off. Yes, Prana I love your clothing and that you do free alterations. But I was moved to Yelp about the yoga classes that you offer, specifically with Sheila (Hatha Yoga on Wednesday). As soon as I can figure out categories, I'll do a Yoga in Boulder Category.. I am so impressed! I have searched high and low for this sort of dedication and skill with a yoga teacher. Hands down, the BEST class I've been to in Boulder, heck, the best class I've been to - ever. Is it true that the best things in life ARE free? I've been going to yoga for almost 10 years..tried corepower, om time, my gym, yoga workshop, etc., paid my $15 and never felt quite like this. And this class was free. Well, by donation, but seriously?! If you are looking for a great teacher, no matter what level, you must come out! It was gentle and challenging at the same time. I wanted to scream "F you!" in this deep squat and it's like she was reading my mind and said "if you are starting to plot me death, it's okay." It is?! Thanks for validating my feelings:) I appreciated her humor and sincerity. I mostly appreciated that her instruction was beyond physical. The spiritual side of yoga is what makes it yoga, IMHO. She had us dedicate our practice and was able to simplify for the beginners and add more options for those of us who wanted to deepen our asanas. I felt completely supported and found myself totally relaxing into her instruction - never questioning if I was doing the asanas right. She also rally focuses on the transitions from one pose to another. I had never seen the way she instructed us from down dog to cobra. I so appreciated this! I know I am not the only one, there was quite a bit of cash in the offering basket! And well deserved. I will definitely be back! Thank you Prana for offering these classes and thank you Sheila! I love everything about Prana. The clothes are amazing and you will never find better customer service. I stopped in the store today and Meg spent 2 hours with me as I tried on what a had to be a few items shy of the the entire inventory! It was unbelievable. I have some special needs and she went above and beyond to accommodate my individual needs and help me find some great choices. She was so patient as she ran up and down the stairs retrieving different retrieving sizes for me. I was shopping alone and her opinion was invaluable to me. I am just so impressed. She easily could have grabbed me a few sizes and put them in a room for me and that would have been enough but she didn't stop there. She kept checking in with me over and over again and that gave me the confidence to ask any and all questions I had that will not just help me in this visit but future ones as well. What was meant to be a quick stop for research purposes only became a personal shopping experience. The time she spent did not pay off for Prana on this visit but will more than pay off in my future patronage. I left the store realizing that this is the kind of mutually beneficial relationship that a retail experience should be and I cannot wait to return! I was shopping for myself, and Sarah was so helpful that I ended up finding Xmas gifts for mom and dad! She compared different leggings and pants and pointed out specifics I never would have noticed. We were able to find the perfect pair of leggings for my very short and always-cold mom. I'd have never considered looking there for my dad, but Sarah helped me navigate the foreign world of menswear and I bought those great stretchy hiking pants for him. I came into your store last week, and was helped out by a you g woman named Megan. She was as helpful, nice and pleasant a person as I have ever met in a store on that mall! She actually paid attention to what I was looking for, and spent a good bit of time helping to look for it. And when the pants I was looking for weren't available, she took the time to help me look for alternatives. While I didn't style in a pair that day- I can assure you that because she went so far out of her way to help me, that I will absolutely be back! But only if Megan is there to help again!!! Give that girl a raise- she deserves it, and you guys need all the help you can get in this department- because I have been in there before, and had far, far different experiences with some other folks who work there!
