I learned about this store from a friend that partakes in their weekly running group. Word on the street is that they have free pizza and libations in the store after every run. I haven't joined a group run quite yet tho my understanding is that they offer a few different distances, routes, and groups running at different speeds. Last night I attended their first ladies event. While I wasn't able to make it to the 4:30 pm run, I was happy to attend the evening of fun that followed. With my two best gal pals in tow we took in this store and event. Upon walking in the door we were impressed by the large crowd of attendees and jamming' tunes. There was so much to eat and so much to do. For starters there was a sports bra fitting offered by Brooks, a libations table offering champagne, wine, and beer, multiple food stations with a chocolate fountain, cookies, fruits, pot stickers, deviled eggs, chicken, spring rolls, chips and three layer dip, and more. These ladies obviously know how to throw a party. The fun didn't stop there. We enjoyed a fashion show which displayed the hottest running fashion gear and trends followed by a raffle. Now this was no ordinary raffle, they gave out nearly twenty killer prizes. From free sports bras, to special edition tanks, to gift certificates to the store, to Nike bags, every winner was elated. The only strange thing was a group of ladies that somehow amassed a pile of raffle tickets as some of their friends had left the event (they took home about 1/3 of the prizes tho they did spread the tickets among themselves). All fun aside In Motion had a plethora of beautiful running sneakers, clothing, accessories, and hydration supplements. If you fall in love with a product and they don't have the size you are looking for let them know and they'll happily order it for you. There's a lounge with plenty of seating, Eldorado water, and a station of nearly every foam roller and rehab stick you can find. There's also an in house physical therapist and massuese, truly a one stop shop. Definitely check this place out for your running and fitness needs! read more

Really impressed with these guys as well as Mark for PT. I grew up swimming and every time I've tried to pick up running as an adult, I've had shin splits and other injuries (even when not doing high mileage at all). Got an initial pair of shoes here that kept me injury free. When I ordered shoes online after that, bam, got shin splits. Came back here to identify the problem, got insoles that support my feet and hopefully will go back to being injury free again. read more

I run about 5 miles per day. I'm not a competitor type , but run for my own enjoyment. I've tried different shops in town and each time come away with a different recommended shoe. There was always something lacking in my shoe fit, but I assumed that was just the way it was and there was nothing out there better. However, I never felt like I got the best service as well as knowledgeable sales persons. The person at In Motion who fitted me was able to figure out my needs and what I needed very quickly. I had a great experience with Luz on my first visit a few days ago. She was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. While the price is higher than I have spent before ($130), I found it worth it for the excellent service. Also, first time customers receive a 10% discount. The staff pays attention to details your provide, your gait and makes personal adjustments to assure you leave feeling good about your footwear investment. If you run regularly, it is worth a visit to take care of your feet. The store has two treadmills for you to test as many pair as you need and four dogs. read more

I've been running for about 20 years. Upon recommendation from someone I trust, I visited this shop a year ago. I have purchased my last 3 pairs of running shoes here, and have adopted this place as my new shop. I like supporting a family business, but beyond that the customer service and attentiveness is terrific. The staff is knowledgeable and listen well to customers. When they were temporarily out of my size in a show I planned to purchase, they offered to order a pair. Instead, I explored other options and ended up finding running shoes I like even better. I've owned countless pairs of running shoes over the years and now I am grateful to have found this business! read more

Went in a couple of days ago and found a pair of sale shoes I wanted to purchase but they were a bit too pricey for my budget. The store manager told me they did price matching so when I found the same shoes a couple of days later for $15 less at a competing store (but not a local company which is why I wanted to get them at InMotion) I went back in to purchase from InMotion. While there, the manager said "absolutely we will price match" but when I went to check out, the woman grabbing the shoes and checking me out huffed and puffed and gave me a nasty lecture with eye rolling about how they were a local company and how clearly I was ruining her life. I ended up just saying "ok, forget about it" and left without the shoes, feeling belittled and upset. They also don't have a working phone number so when I tried to call to ask about the price adjustment initially, I couldn't get ahold of them which prompted me to go in instead. read more
