I've worked with several home inspectors in the past, and by far I trust Darren the most. Just spend a few minutes with Darren and it becomes clear that his words come with decades of experience and expertise. He'll not only lay out the "facts" - the recommendations and observations that go into the inspection report - but also let you know what a reasonable home owner should be worried, or not worried, about. Even days after the inspection, I was able to call him with more questions, and he spent half an hour each time walking me through my questions. In addition to his deep expertise, Darren goes the extra mile to develop trust with you, which - as a home buyer who's about to spend a lot of money to purchase a home - is invaluable. For example, his home inspection led him to believe that the home was clean and recommended that it didn't need a mold inspection, even though his business would benefit from that. I deeply respected his integrity. I highly, highly recommend working with Darren, and will absolutely work with him again in the future! read more

Darren came highly recommended by our realtor and he did not disappoint! He is an amazing inspector who is very thorough & detail oriented - which is reflected both in his in-home inspection & prompt inspection reports. We also really appreciated that he took time out for us to really understand the issues at hand & help determine if the repair is a credit Vs handy-man or a 'honey-do' job. Lol. Home buying is stressful but hiring Darren will be on of the best decision to help alleviate some stress. Thanks Darren! (Otto + Esther) read more

My husband and I were in the process of buying a home and we called upon Darren's services to inspect the property. You can tell that he is incredibly seasoned and meticulous with the work that he does, as he inspected the house from top to bottom. Darren is very thorough - even going so far as to snake a camera through our drain pipe to ensure that it was unobstructed by roots! After he completed his inspection Darren walked us through the property and explained what needed to be done, even going so far as to regale us with specific city codes and anecdotes (which I found highly interesting). I have purchased over a dozen homes in my life and I have never had a home inspector as great as Darren. He came totally prepared to inspect everything - inside and out - basement and crawl space to rafters and roof. He was incredibly thorough and stayed as long as he needed to stay to cover every inch of the house and document every detail for me. And he wore a mask and took COVID Precautions. His report was incredibly detailed and he found some hidden issues I had never even considered. And what a great guy! I recommend Darren Mars and PPG INSPECTORS 100% read more

I was already a couple days into my 7 day contingency to get an inspection when I reached out to Darren. As busy as the market has been lately I was a bit concerned about being able to get my inspection done within the time frame I needed it by. Darren's response was prompt and professional and he scheduled me for my inspection in no time, and completed it as promised. While he was doing the inspection I stopped by to check in and he walked me through a couple of the issues so I'd have an idea as to what I was dealing with right away. I wasn't able to stay long due to a prior commitment, so my wife stopped by after and he took the time to walk her through everything and go over it with her. His report came in a timely and professional manner in both a PDF as well as an uploaded server. All in all I couldn't have asked for anything more. read more

Very happy with Darren - Did a great job inspecting a house in escrow, very thorough, was able to handle our sewer line scope in addition to inspection, and even recommended some professionals for issues that came up. He used a drone to do an inspection of the roof. He was professional, friendly, and courteous. Answered every question we had and clearly takes pride in his work. We never felt rushed, and he made a lot of effort to explain everything he found (all of which was emphasized again in his very thorough report). On top of all that, he's just a pleasant and calm guy to be around, which is especially nice during the stress of buying a house. read more

First time home buyer and I am glad I used Darren as my inspector. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient. Both my agent and I were impressed by his service. He not only pointed out the problems but also gave us a few solutions. He was very specific and recognized even the smallest issues. Darren definitely serves his clients (home buyers) best interest because as buyers, you want to know as much as possible what you are getting. The more you know about the house, potentially the more negotiation power you have against the seller. Darren also has advanced tools such as robot and drone to inspect properties. The results are more detailed than the traditional inspection method. I would highly recommend Darren if you need an inspector. Good communication and great quality of work. read more

CALL PPG!!! This is my first real estate venture (first home purchase) and the experience has left me questioning how "Real Estate Professionals" have the gumption to call themselves "Professional". Darren and PPG Inspectors are a breath of fresh air. If you prefer a quality consultation that explains what to expect in the job you are requesting, CALL PPG! If you prefer that when the job you request is completed in a timely manner, and subsequently the results described to you in a manner that's easy to understand, with as much time as you need to be able to understand and ask follow-on questions, CALL PPG! If you prefer a professional that will execute your service with your best interests in mind, or a service that is more than worth the money you're paying, CALL PPG!!! It would be unnecessary to go in to detail about how much detail Darren provided with my home inspection report, but there was no stone left unturned and I am more than satisfied with the inspection I received. Thank you Darren, the home inspection you provided would be the best part of this venture by far. I wish other home buyers would be able to receive a home inspection of this caliber, but the only way to guarantee that is if...you know it...CALL PPG!!!!! read more

Darren is amazing! We have used him now on two separate properties and no one compares to him. His thoroughness and knowledge is priceless, along with his amazing attitude and personality. Recently I interacted with a different inspector (on a property we were selling- so the inspector was the buyers choice), and I could just not believe the difference! That other inspector was at the home for 20 minutes! How can you truly do a true inspection of all facets of a (large) home in 20 minutes? That's how Darren is different. He is at the property for HOURS! Inspecting every nook and cranny of the home, every outlet, every pipe and sink...everything! And seriously, his prices cannot be beat!! You cannot go wrong with Darren and PPG! If you are looking to purchase a home and need a quality inspector at a competive price, call Darren! read more
