I recently moved from Oregon to Henderson, NV and needed help moving my things out of a storage unit in LV to another unit in Henderson. After looking online, reading reviews & comparing rates, I reached out to POWERHOUSE MOVERS on Sat. 3/09/24 and asked if they had any availability the following day, Sun., 3/10 and to my surprise, I received a response shortly thereafter saying yes, they could help me. This was absolutely the worst move I have ever had, and we are military so we've moved A LOT! We own expensive workout equipment, so we contacted and sent pictures to Travis to see if he could disassemble and move. He said that he could do it. Moving Day arrives. The movers show up in a U-Haul. That should have been my first red flag. One of the guys was friendly. We went through the house and I told them what I needed moved. We didn't have a lot, mostly just heavy stuff. It felt like it took forever to load. The job ended up costing more than quoted. The guys didn't have a clue how to disassemble our cable crossover or the proper tools. They strapped the arms to the front instead of removing them. Causing them to scratch up the entire front and side of an almost $5,000 piece of workout equipment. They disassembled our squat rack but didn't reassemble. My washer was dented in the front and back. The drain hose was damaged, so I had water all over my laundry room when I tried to use the washer. I had to pay a plumber to replace the hose. Today I tried to set up the bedroom and realized that they broke the leg off my dresser and didn't have the decency to tell me. They propped it up so it wasn't noticeable. I am disappointed that they were so unethical. Dealing with the owner, Travis, was very difficult. He would reply/call my husband, but would not reply directly to me or answer my calls. After several messages, he finally messaged me and my husband with, "Please provide Venmo/PayPal Address when possible. I'm sending an additional $200. Sorry your not happy. I don't see any point in anymore conversation because I disagree with a few things as well. Best of luck in the future." Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a small refund but we paid a lot for this move and the damages go way beyond $200. It feels like he doesn't care, and just wanted me to go away. read more

Moved into a new home with (2) scheduled move dates: 1st was with John/Justin/Chris1 & 2nd was with John/Chris 2. Arrived on time and on short notice. Had the most competitive pricing. Movers were clean, professional, quick, thorough, thoughtful, courteous, and informative. Do NOT waste your time on another company. Travis was able to get us 2 movers at literally the very last minute...like the night before. We are so appreciative of the quick response and the 2 gentleman were superb! DO NOT USE POWER HOUSE MOVERS! We had the WORST experience with them during our move!!! If there was a -100 that would be my rating. They damaged our furniture, appliances and property; they unloaded everything in the wrong rooms and on top of each other with furniture on its side (as seen below); and one or several of the movers STOLE HANDGUNS from a suitcase that was brought in by us and left in the back of our new closet. They went as far as to remove the guns from each of their cases and place the empty cases back inside the suitcase so that we wouldn't find out until after they were paid and left. My husband realized the guns were stolen the day after the move and had to file a police report. Travis never made it right, never accepted responsibility, never refunded any of our money and stopped responding to us altogether. He never responded to several attempts to be refunded part or all of our money for the damage and poor execution of move. This entire move was traumatizing and really impacted our experience moving into our dream home. It took weeks and a lot of help from friends and family to get everything in its place. The guns were never found and still need ot be replaced. It looks like there have good reviews since our move and that's great but if you hire this company you better hope you get their A team that day and not whoever they had the day we moved. I strongly encourage you look elsewhere. Literally anyone would have been better than PowerHouse Movers. read more

We hired these guys because of the good reviews and because they were veterans assuming they would be honorable/honest people. A few weekends ago they moved us. All was well until they didn't have the correct furniture mover to move the piano so we paid them for their work and they said they would be back the next day with the correct dolly to move the piano. They did come back the next day and moved the piano. Ended up damaging our piano, see pictures below, and we told them we would get an estimate to get it fixed and send it to them. We did that and they will not return calls/text. Nothing. We paid you on Saturday even though the job wasn't done because we are honest people and expected you to AT LEAST communicate with us about the piano repair, but you won't even call us back. We do think that the estimate we were given by the company to repair it is high but you won't even call us to discuss the situation and why we must use that particular company. We are willing to negotiate but you won't even call us back. read more

On relatively short notice, they fit me in and moved a 3 bedroom with a full garage from the home and into a nearby storage unit, all in one day! Having done a lot of moves, that is a lot of work. Powerhouse worked with me to determine the right number of movers (4 in this case) and they literally did a full pack (furniture and everything). While I think it would have taken longer if they were packing for a long haul move, they did a great job and sent a team of respectful guys who listened to our requests and did their best all day long. My husband had a medical emergency and I was left with 3 days to get our entire house moved. Travis was fully booked yet came over that day when he heard my predicament and gave me a quote. He showed up on time and went above and beyond to ensure my entire house was moved into a storage facility. I was only there a short time due to having to be at ICU with my husband. He kept me posted vis text, coordinated with my storage facility and brought me the keys the next day. i cannot Express how grateful I am to Travis and his crew for their empath, compassion and excellence. Horrible company. These guys are ridiculous. They no showed on us this morning and now won't even answer the phone or return texts. Travis texted us last night confirming and even gave us the names of the 5 guys who would be here this morning and now don't even have the decency to answer a call. Travis and his crew are absolute professionals!! Easy to coordinate with for a military move via phone and text. Russ and chris showed up when we were in the middle of disaster. Our driveway was too steep for the 26' moving truck to get up. Russ and Chris were extremely prompt, professional, and funny guys. We made the best of the day and made a million trips up the driveway from the moving truck to the house in my truck. They were a pleasure to work with and helped the bad situation be a lot better.
