**Updating my review after seeing the unprofessional response from owner**…read more 1 star because it's the lowest I can give. Thumbtack said $120 per hour which was the only reason I booked this company. I also submitted photos of all FIVE pieces that needed moving along with a description of what everything was and that it was coming from the top floor of a townhouse, which the app stated I would receive an updated estimate of it were to be different than the $120 as advertised. Days go by, my estimate never changed but when they showed up, he said $350..... so less than 2 hours of work somehow became $350 worth but was advertised as $120 per hour. I was very thorough with my description of the job so I should have been notified in advance that the rate online would be nowhere near what he was planning to charge. This was the first issue. The second issue being that he scratched the hell out of one of my dressers! Didn't say anything, just scratched it up, left and I saw it after I already wasted my money. The third issue is he asked MY permission to take a picture with ME and post it. I gave permission, however, he proceeded to post a whole video showing many things in my dad's house, stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the move that they never laid a hand on and worst of all, a drive by of the house. My dad is livid this man shared things that had absolutely nothing to do with the move (FALSE ADVERTISING) and HE did not give permission to post his house on instagram and/or belongings in it. The owner presented it as he was interested in a few pieces my dad had build and just wanted a picture of them. Never stated he would be posting his stuff on instagram. My dad does not do instagram, he doesn't do advertising the wrong rate and he definitely doesn't appreciate the unprofessional, nasty response this man left on my other review (which I left a picture of his response attached to this review) Finally, my dad asked them to move something from his basement to garage. I asked him not to and he asked movers anyway. Should have said no if you did not want to move it. No need to be nasty in your reply to my review, lying saying you moved it to a different residence when you didn't. You don't seem to be a very truthful person based on my experience with you and rather than an appropriate response to the review, you proceeded to show who you are, as well as the private message you sent me. Moral of the story is I would not recommend this unprofessional business to anyone because he changed the rate yet had pictures and description of the entire job and should have updated the estimate or declined, scratched up my furniture, posted things he didn't have permission for and then showed his nasty attitude when I simply shared my bad experience with him and his company. Please learn from this experience and try to be more professional with your future jobs and don't private message a dissatisfied customer a gross message that they could very well share with their review as well.

When my property was mapped out for fencing my irrigation system was there. No mention of needing to mark it out. On the date of install the forman stated he saw the irrigation system and that it wasn't mapped out. He started the job and notified me AFTER they punctured the system in ELEVEN places. I was rudely told the responsibility is my because I signed the contract. Would it have hurt to have mentioned IRRIGATION prior to starting the project? The contract mentioned UTILITIES. I didn't think of irrigation as such. Please have your irrigation system mapped out to avoid paying for a fence AND new irrigation!

Not a single item was completed from the contract he and I agreed on and he took 60% of the contract amount and he stopped working the property. I had a property with some cosmetic work stuff and repairs which shouldn't be that complicated. After he toured the property and gave me estimated time frame for 2 weeks. I know normally how it is not done with contractors so I asked him a few more times and confirmed if he could really finish it in two weeks. He was confident and said two weeks for no problem. After it has been almost 4 weeks, not even a quarter of work has been done and I noticed he didn't even show up. He has so many excuses and complaints every single time when I contacted him. It felt like he was working for free which was not true. We agreed on 3 installment payments, 1st installment, before the job start about 30% of the total price, and 2nd one, 1/3 of the total price, and the last one at the completion of the job. After 2 weeks of work and not much of work has been done, he already requested for the 2nd installment. I asked him, the work has not been done 2/3 of the job, more over not even half way done. Anyway, he got upset and he wouldn't continue the job if I didn't pay. So I paid and then BOOM! He didn't show up at work and when I asked him, his answer was it is too cold to work at the property. He made excuses and excuses and he said he will only come back if the heater is fixed. I did and texted him and called him. NO RESPONSE. Besides, his quality of work is horrible. He and his crew painted all over, light fixtures, light bulbs, floors, even bathtub. What kind of painter paint over the tub?! They simply didn't even covered the parts not supposed to paint but they were so lazy and sloppy worker. They installed the brand new room doors, two out of three, didn't even close properly and didn't even use the shim. Installing the door is one of the basic carpentry job and he can't even do that! I asked for the breakdown of the work and cost and no answer. When I confronted him for a few stuff, he just blah blah blah and repeating himself by making endless nonsense and not doing the job at all. Even if he does a job, not a good quality one.

Requested lawncare and minor trimming of hedges. Was quoted a good price. Never received the quote…read morein writing (first red flag). Was told I would receive an email to schedule the work. That didn't happen (red flag). Finally I get a scheduled appointment and after waiting all day, no one shows up! I get a text during thr evening with poor excuses and promises for an appointment the next day (flag). The landscaper shows up the next day and just starts work. While he is working I ask if he's aware of the hedge requirements and he say no but, he's got me. Seems to me a phone call should have made but, it wasn't. I go back into my home and when I return to outside of my home all of the hedges are trimmed going far beyond my original request. I received nothing in writing about up charges, pricing for services or at least a notification of the additional cost. Oh yeah the worker didn't know the parameters of the job to start with because there was nothing in writing! I paid the agreed upon price via an electronic invoice. Done deal, right ? I later received an additional invoice for over $200 more! Did I mention I'm a senior on a fixed income? Well I'm mention this to Moreno and Rose via text! Response: that's the price, gas and so on.
