I found Move Crew on Yelp and reached out via messenger to get an estimate for our move. Sheena responds extremely quickly to all messages and after giving her a list of items I needed moved she gave me a quote. It was reasonable compared to others I obtained, and I especially liked that it was a flat fee - not hourly. A move can be very costly all around, so it was nice not to have any surprises when it came to the cost of the move. I put down a deposit via their online system in order to hold my date, and the day before the move she reached out to ensure everything was still the same. She said that the men would arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 and would give me a 30-minute warning call. At 9:50 when I hadn't received a call I reached out to Sheena and she told me that the guys were having truck issues and were running a bit behind. Around 10:20 Sam showed up (he drove separately) and did a walk-thru of the house. Shortly after that the truck (a U-Haul) and two other movers (Oran and Paul) also arrived. They immediately got to work disassembling and wrapping my items and loading everything into the truck. I was very impressed with the wrapping they did for my items. They REALLY wrapped everything, which none of my other movers ever bothered to do. On top of the good work, they were also all very congenial throughout the day. We had some chats about poodles, credit card debt, death...you know, the usual things (lol). Putting all my stuff into the truck took about 3 hours. Things went from great to terrible when they tried to leave the house only to find that the U-Haul truck wouldn't start!! Luckily I live within walking distance to a U-Haul location, so they walked over there to get a battery jump. However, that didn't work, either!!!!! U-Haul thought they should just get another truck and unload everything they had just packed, but they decided to call roadside assistance instead. They ended up sitting in the truck for 90 minutes waiting for them to come. I felt so bad for the guys. Seriously - terrible. What was supposed to be a quick move turned into an all day/night affair. Plus my (old) neighbor was being a bitch about the fact that they were stuck and blocking her driveway. Clearly it wasn't their choice and if everything had gone as planned they would have been gone before she got home from work. Anyway, once roadside assistance came they were actually able to work some magic and the guys made it to the new house without having to unload the truck and pack another. Once they arrived at my new home they all worked very quickly to bring everything inside and get it assembled. It was so late and such a long day and none of them had bad attitudes about the unforeseen obstacles. We were very transparent about amount of rooms that needed to be moved and told 3 movers with a truck sized correctly would be provided. Instead only two guys showed up (high as kites) with a small truck, no wrap or extra supplies to pad furniture and proceeded to tell my gf the move would take much longer than expected. In the process of moving, multiple items were dropped or lost including power supplies, a scale, pet feeder, humidifier, the list goes on. When moving from one location to the next which was only a quick drive, the movers proceeded to park the truck in a shopping plaza to grab pizza without any lock on the roll-up door and without mentioning a meal break mid 3 hour move. At the end of the day, they attempted to bill me for time they were breaking and added in service fees. Following the move after checking our original location and all boxes for missing items, we contacted this business and were told they had power supplies and that they would be dropped off; but that didn't happen so we were unable to use the devices until we purchased and were forced to spend more money on new ones. I moved about 75% of the boxes myself prior to and should've just moved the furniture myself as well. Lesson learned. Don't use this company if you expect any semblance of quality or professionalism. It's overpriced for a couple weak movers with no skill in a small truck with a squealing lift gate who are going to lose items and then not return them in a timely manner when they do find them on the truck. This company said they would cover and wrap our furniture they did not. They ran out of moving quilts and shrink wrap soon after starting. Most of our furniture is scratched, a number of pieces are damaged. They scheduled repairs three time and never showed up to complete the repairs. The last time we heard from them they sent a text stating May 22, as the next scheduled date for repairs. When we sent a text and tried calling repeatedly to find out what time and who was scheduled they stopped answering our calls. Several items are missing. A piece of an oak claw foot from a table was supposedly found on their truck but we can not even get it back. read more

They showed up with movers who could not pass a criminal background check to get on post. Our move was supposed to start at 10am but they didn't show up until 430pm. Rather than addressing the situation professionally, they were non-responvive and rude. I would highly recommend using another moving company. read more

We moved 10 mins away between apartment and we are very unsatisfied with the way crew handled the move. An item completely destroyed. Wooden King size bed cracked in few places/edges, dining table scratched, screws from bed missing. The guys also dragged the mattress by holding on its cover on the ground that has made my mattress dirty and stretched out. They did not have enough cushion to wrap some fragile furniture items, or TV. They borrowed my cartoon tape to wrap things (which was fine). We only had some which was not enough. Overall, the price was okay but the service was Unprofessional. May be charge $100 more and provide more professional service. Not satisfied with the service. read more

It's been a year since my last move. Without question, I hired the Move Crew again. The Move Crew handled logistically complicated move with ease and unexpected grace. We recently hired the Move Crew to move us out of our two bedroom apartment and our 10x13 storage unit. We moved into a stacked townhouse where our main levels are on the third and four floors. The crew moved quickly and efficiently out of the apartment. Because they planned ahead, the crew seemed undaunted by the storage unit and had a second truck on hand for hauling. When they arrived to our new home, they already had a plan in place for where to drop off our possessions. Did I mention they also dissemble and reassemble beds? I can't say enough nice things about them. They came prepared and ready to tackle the unexpected (ie how to wrap a large mirror with not enough wrapping by us). The Move Crew is fast, courteous, and professional. If you are moving within Delaware, I recommend hiring the Move Crew. Their rates are fair, they accept multiple forms of payment, and are easy to work with (no hidden fees). I tipped them extra because of their performance and customer service. --- I've moved lot over the last decade. Take my word for it when I say the Move Crew is the best logistics company I've ever worked with. They fit me on short notice during a holiday week. Sheena, Alonso, and Moses provides top-notch service from scheduling, invoicing and payment, and moving. I moved from a 1 bd to 2 bd in a single morning. Alonso and Moses were prompt, friendly, and handy (they dissembled and reassembled our beds and dining room table). In a nutshell, fair price, excellent service, and the easiest move I've ever experienced. So if you need a mover, look no further. Do yourself a favor and let the Move Crew take care of you. The Move Crew conducted my move to Raleigh North Carolina. Sheena was amazing and stopped by my house to provide me the most accurate estimate. My movers were Pierre and Francisco. Both men arrived a few minutes early and immediately got to work; packing my kitchen as requested. The owner stopped by and greeted me to assured that my items were properly protected. It was a very intense move due to traveling so when I tried to assist both Pierre and Francisco told me no and that they were okay. My only two suggestion/ critique are they put my 'junk drawer' stuff on top of my flatware... picture included. Move Crew quickly came back with a reasonable solution when they found the earlier volume estimate was too low. This was at peak moving season, and we much appreciate that. There were some minor scratches owing to inconsistent wrapping, but nothing major and I accept that as part of most moves. If we were to hire Move Crew again, I would consider explicitly labeling wrapping instructions on items, so as folks rush to load, they would wrap more consistently (we have two similar file cabinets wrapped very differently, and one scratched owing to lack of wrap). We had a great experience with Move Crew for a local move (about 3 miles away). The guys did a great job moving large items down multiple sets of stairs and were very conscientious of our new hardwood floors and walls when entering our new home. The job took longer than they had anticipated, and I appreciated the flat rate pricing. My only minor criticisms would be that prior to the date, I felt like I had to keep reaching out to confirm that they were still coming and the time that they were going to arrive. I also thought they were going to invoice me so I could pay by credit card at the end since I had made the initial deposit on my card, but the driver asked for a check (my checkbook was packed in a box, so there was an awkward moment where I had to sort of scramble to find it and then a pen). I'm done with Yelp. Move Crew got great reviews but apparently they must be from a bunch of friends and family posting to boost business. The owner had me take her through my entire house via FaceTime and assured me she's done this reliably before. Either she has no idea how to estimate what's needed (which is her JOB) or her crew has no idea how to pack a truck. Either way, this whole experience was a fiasco and has postponed listing my house! I moved from a Philly row home, NOT a mansion, yet the 26-foot truck was full with just the basement. EVERYTHING on my main floor was left behind. She then offered a whole second move -at FULL price!!- with no apology whatsoever for so grossly miscalculating the first move, even after I told her I had to cancel the cleaning crew, painter, and realtor's photographer. She said the second move could be done with "only" a sixteen-foot truck. I explained that one of the rooms is ten feet by ten feet and packed fully, asking how she thought that three more rooms and all the furniture, deck box, and grill in my yard would fit in the remaining six feet of a truck. She got QUITE testy and actually cut me off saying, "Well if you'd let me FINISH..." How professional. I guess she forgot that I had let her finish before the first move and she was off by half the contents of my house! I hired someone else to do the "second" move. read more

We had the best moving experience so far with the help of these guys! The manager Sheena is very supportive and responsive, and always will be there for you if you have questions. Our guys, Moe and Don, are very affable and helpful. You pay a flat rate for these guys and not an hourly rate, which I believe will lead you to the most affordable moving service. We asked a lot of moving companies and gave them our inventory list, and the quotes from other companies were mostly $100~$200 more. We actually had these guys moved an extra piece of furniture when they arrived(since we sold that furniture but the buyer didn't show up eventually), and we made a little mistake when finding our way to the storage unit and had Moe and Don waited for extra 20 minutes, but they are kind enough to keep their quote! Which I felt a little bit sorry so we tipped them and we are all happy :) Overall, we are very happy with their service and I believe you will be as well. Recommend! read more

Canceled without calling and notifying me. When I called to finalize 5 days before , they informed me they were not coming.

I don't usually write reviews but I felt like I had to with this company. They were friendly people with prices on the cheaper side in the beginning. However, once they came out they increase my quoted price by $1000. They claimed they didn't know I was moving the furniture from my entire house?? However, they just happened to bring the correct truck size and number of people needed for the job. I had no choice I needed to move that day so I agreed to the price change. Due to a storm my house wasn't ready yet. They held my furniture for about a week and charged an additional $500. I was fine with that since the delay couldn't be helped. On delivery day they arrive at 9pm lol. They said they had some kind of argument with one of the mover's neighbors so they were 6 hours late!? Anyway the guys were tired so we just asked them to unload our things and we will sort it out ourselves. They damage our newly built house a bit and almost all our furniture was scratched but we ignored that. It was late, they were talking loud and joking around so we just wanted to do things as quick as possible before our neighbors complained. They were done around 12am. Later we discovered two pieces of furniture completely broken, some missing furniture, and some old lawn chairs that weren't ours. It took 3 months to get some of our missing furniture back. 4 months to be compensated for the broken furniture and other missing things they couldn't send us. All and all a horrible experience. I have moved around alot for my job and this is the worse experience I've ever had. I'm very understanding and fine with just about anything because I know moving isn't easy but I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone...Also when they change the price they won't tell you the new price until they deliver your things and you have to pay whatever the new full price is before they'll give you you're things. They basically hold your stuff hostage. Good thing I happen to have an extra $1500 to pay them smh. I could've went with a more professional company for the same price and avoided all the headaches. I should've listened to the bad reviews that made similar complaints about them. read more

I used the Move Crew for junk removal. Would definitely recommend and use again. They responded to my quote request on a very short notice- Friday night. I was able to confirm by phone at 7:30AM on a Saturday. Their pricing was reasonable and on par with market rate based on all the other quotes. We agreed on a 12:30PM pick up, they called to notify me they would running late - arrived exactly at the new time. Moved everything out quickly, and ensured there was no damage to the apartment. The movers were very kind, decent, hardworking guys. But, it was a special day and they didn't want to work it. The move was supposed to start by 10:30 am, but didn't until 5 pm. I paid to have my things packed. Be careful if you request this! They didn't bring ANY supplies, not even packing tape! They used all my supplies. They also put my (probably) wet toilet brush/holder in with my good toiletries. I lost $60-80 on them, which is a lot for me. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars - I hired Move Crew in the summer of 2018 and had extensive damage to my apartment. Sheena promised someone would be by to do the repairs, but I waited for weeks on end until my landlord paid someone else to do it and sent me the invoice. Initially, Sheena apologized and promised to reimburse me, but over a year later I'm still waiting. I hate to leave such a nasty review, but I'm hoping to help others avoid this frustration. She also was very responsive along the entire process. The guys were on time (even early) and called ahead to let me know that they were on their way.
