We hired the Move Crew to transport a dining set that we had purchased from someone. They made sure the furniture was protected during transport, and it arrived in excellent condition. We were told that our time was after 1 (dependent on the ending of their first job), and they arrived around 1:30 which we were pleased about! Sometimes people give you a time and they are way off, but the Move Crew came within the hour, as they stated, which was great! The guys were polite, professional and hardworking. I should have listened to all the others who wrote reviews about their horrible experience. I guess thinking my experience would be different, I don't know. I'll try to make a long story short. I called asking when or if they would be available to move a few things from a storage unit, no rush. Originally spoke with them at 10am said they would be available around 3 and would call me. 4pm comes around no call, no nothing. FYI zero updates from this business!!! Scheduled pick up for 1700 28 March, arrived at 1850. Scheduled delivery for 1100 29 March, arrived at 1400. They told me they left at 0600. It's a 3 hour drive from their location (14 Fresconi Court New Castle, DE 19720). I left at 0500 with a 4 hour drive(MD to NY) and arrived at 0845. Sheena informed me when I scheduled they have been in business for 10 years and all the movers were "experienced". During pick up, Johnny was nice/polite but you could tell he was "in training". Paul "appeared" experienced, but I felt he was also a "spinster." Meaning he says what he feels you want to hear. I found out very quickly my intuition was correct on this judgment. His excuses for being late were not believable. Condition of items upon arrival:Side table broken $20 Picture art broken $20 Ceramic crocks shattered $50 End tables damaged $40 Sofa table damaged $600 Bedroom set broken bed frame and mirror. Bedroom set damaged headboard, footboard and end table $2500 Couch damaged/tear $400 Dining room chairs damaged $1200 (for whole set) Grandmother's handmade quilt Priceless (Please note this quilt and other blankets were removed from a storage box without my permission and used to wrap items. Returned to me stained, wet and ruined. As if that wasn't enough, they threw the wet blankets on my couch. These individuals don't understand the value of precious items. When I contacted the owners to complain about the state of my belongings Sheena informed me that she "has no control over this." The more we spoke the more she developed an unprofessional attitude. I then contacted George who initially seemed very nice. George informed me that he was in the middle of a big job and he wanted me to text him pictures. Here are a few of his initial responses: "Let me know exactly what you are thinking. I agree with you this is totally unacceptable" "There is absolutely no way possible that Windows should have been broken because we have furniture pads and shrink wrap our guys totally dropped the ball on this. But I have to put all the blame on myself" Following that initial conversation it was very apparent that either George or Sheena called the movers and made them aware of the complaints. I was concerned that Paul was high due to smelling like marijuana. I knew someone had informed him b/c he came in stating "what is the issue, I have to get drug tested." He never denied being high. I called the owner back to tell him that I thought that was very unprofessional to contact the movers while they were here. I felt it was a safety risk. I was home alone at both pick up and delivery with two men. George informed me to go to the website to follow policy about reporting damages. Upon reading website there were several policies not being followed. It stated that someone would be in the office available during business hours to discuss concerns. He was clearly not available and Sheena stated that she had no control over damages. Some furniture was wrapped, but not all. My broken mirror was not pad wrapped just shrink wrapped. The policy stated they would remove the items from the home and wrap items on the truck. Policy stated the movers would arrive in smoke-free uniforms. In addition to the marijuana smell it was apparent that the movers were nicotine smokers. The website stated that neoprene runners would be used to not track anything on the floor or carpet. Runnerswe're not offered or used. While educating myself on how to report damages I was made aware that the movers should have a damage report that can be completed on all items that were noticeably damaged at delivery. I had written a check, but requested to see the truck to make sure all my items were removed (one item was not), then I requested to complete a damage report. One mover, Paul, became extremely irate at this point got in the truck and started yelling "let's go." I was attempting to tune him out to speak with the other gentleman. The other gentleman told me that he spoke to his boss and that I needed to address any further issues with him. I made him aware of the policy of the damage report being completed at the end of the move and he repeated that I needed to address this with his boss. I requested to call George together, that way we could come to a resolution before they left the property. They immediately left. I called George and he stated that I refused to pay according to the movers. A few minutes later he texted me saying that I threatened them and refused to pay, he was calling authorities. I told him I already called myself feeling unsafe in my brand new home. Within minutes George contacted me again stating that I would receive a new invoice -$350 to cover the damage. $350 doesn't begin to cover the damage. This was the worst moving nightmare I have ever experienced in my life. read more

Was looking for last minute movers for a big move. Found these guys and they said that they could finish the loading at max 3 or 4 hours, they finished in 2.5. Quoted price was very reasonable. Greg and Tim showed up on time, listened to what needed to be done, what needed to go into certain containers and off they went. They even shrink wrapped things that I wasn't able to get around to shrink wrapping. Fast and efficient. Would definitely recommend them for your next move. read more

A terrible moving experience! After loading the truck they drove away with two items sitting there unloaded. We had to call them to come back for them. The next day they arrived at our new location 5 hours late and took 6 hours to unload a two bedroom apartment, finally finishing up at 2 am. In the process they broke one piece of furniture and severely damaged 4 pieces of wood furniture, none of which were wrapped or covered in the van or on the hand truck. In addition, they stacked boxes marked "Fragile" under heavy items and all boxes were turned upside down either on the truck or while unloading. Finally, we discovered many of our belongings (clothing and business files) on the floor of the truck and in the street. When we mentioned the damages and carelessness to Leonard and Floyd, the crew who unpacked the truck, they refused to take responsibility and were unapologetic. We reported all this to George, who assured us he would take care of the damages. Five days later we have heard nothing despite repeated emails to him. The cost of repairing the damaged furniture will be more than the move itself. Finally, we can't even get them to send us a receipt. Do not use this company! read more

After agreeing on a price for the job. The owner/manager decided to ask for more money while the guys were onsite moving stuff after showing up 45 minutes late. It took the guys 30 minutes to move everything. She was extremely rude and screaming at me on the phone like a lunatic and even called me names when I refused to pay more than what we agreed on. This was a completely unprofessional experience for me dealing with this so called business owner. The moving guys were great and respectful. Moved very recently from Philly to Baltimore and was so impressed with this company. I've never used professional movers before. Sheena took the time to answer any of my questions. She's very responsive - from the first quote to the final invoice. The actual movers were amazing too. Wish I could remember their names. They came in, surveyed the space and got right to work. I have a skittish rescue dog and they were more than understanding. She even came around to them! The guys worked really well and very quickly together. Not that I would care (because moving sucks) but I never even heard either of them complain or even talk negatively. Absolutely nothing broken or even damaged. Horrible! I hired them to take some junk to the dump. They took it a few streets over and dumped it in someone's driveway, then pocketed the money for the dump. The neighbor called the police and then I was called. The owner then explained that he asked the crew how they took it to the dump so fast and they told him they dumped the junk in a place they normally dump it. Obviously, he didn't reprimand them for randomly dumping it until I called him back and complained. The owner promised me a refund for all the stress caused by the incident and though I followed up to ask when I was getting the refund numerous times during the next few weeks, I never did get it. Just to begin, contacting Sheena was very responsive to questions/emails, so professional. She gave me 2 choices of quotes after I gave an inventory of items that needed to be moved, no up-selling thrown in. On the day of the move, though the guys were a little late, George did reach out to me to give an ETA. Once there, he was very professional on asking if we needed any items needed to be disassembled/wrapped. They got to work right away, all I had to do is point to what should be moved first. There was no chit-chat or dilly-dallying, they got everything to the truck in an reasonable amount of time. I was about 20 minutes behind them when they started trucking off to the destination. Once I arrived at the house, I was surprised to find out that my girlfriend had said that they finished unloading and moving every item into home and ready to head over to the storage center. They quickly got everything else unloaded into the unit. Once I received the job invoice, I was very surprised we were charged less than the estimated quote. During the coronavirus crisis, Sheena was very quick in responding to my request and worked out a quote using a FaceTime tour of our home. She responded to my messages and calls very quickly. Great team! Right from getting the quote, Sheena was very responsive and accommodating to any questions or requests I had about the move. The guys who came over to make the move, George and his pal, were really nice and friendly. It was their third move for the day but they did not slow down or halt at any point despite the persistent rain on that day. This company is unprofessional and caused me hardship. The movers arrived without tools and asked to borrow mine. Then the movers asked to stop work to buy more packing materials since they did not bring enough with them. Then the movers damaged several of my furniture items when loading the truck. then the movers did not unpack all of my items because it was almost 2am before they finished. George and Sheena refused to handle my claims and I had to hire an attorney. They refused to respond to me and my attorney. I will be filing complaints with the Delaware Office of the Attorney General and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. I am also considering taking them to court to sue for damages. I had a TON of stuff, and the team remained friendly and pleasant even as we crested the 12 hour mark. We dealt with issues like a refrigerator not fitting into a doorway in a city house, which should have been nerve racking, but the team split up and two of them worked that issue while two others continued unloading the truck. Highly recommend this company. I have moved across town twice and used Move Crew both times. Each time they sent out a strong crew that got the move done quickly and efficiently. They take the time to wrap up and pad furniture before loading it onto the truck, and they unload it carefully to make sure the neither the furniture nor the walls of the house are damaged. Everything arrived in pristine condition! They went above and beyond to make sure all the furniture was placed where we wanted it in the new house, and when we realized one of our bedroom sets was too big for the room we had planned, they moved the whole set to another bedroom without making it seem like an inconvenience. I and a Navy veteran and this company caused $1,200 worth of damage, finally got a hearing after 2yrs of back and forth the judge cited that since we weren't charged $450.00 for storage that that was payment for the damages and missing items which was a slick move on their part, lesson learned. I initially didn't hire a moving company & soon realized we underestimated moving my 2 bedroom apartment and immediately called Move Crew and they were able to offer same-day service, with a set of guys to help us within an hour--even though it was extremely last minute they still offered a vefair price. They were polite and worked quickly without damaging anything. They were able to fill our u-haul and also followed us to the storage facility to unload everything. The walls of our brand new home had extensive damage after they moved furniture in. I contacted the owner on multiple occasions, and was promised that it would get fixed. I did not end up using the Move Crew, but wanted to post a review so that others may be a bit more mindful when booking. I got in touch with the company for my move because of their wonderful reviews and was helped by Ms. Sheena. I was looking to move on a Monday, and was told by Ms. Sheena that it may be difficult, could I manage Tuesday and that she will be in touch in the next day to confirm. There was no follow up, and so I messaged to state that I will be able to do Tuesday as I wasn't willing to forgo the price and movers with good reviews. She came back to say that any time on Tuesday can work, and we discussed this over the phone. On the Thursday before the move, she messaged to request a Monday move which I couldn't manage now as my moving permissions in the apartments had been completed for Tuesday and I was also out of town on holiday till Monday morning. She messaged to say that she had earlier confirmed Tuesday when she wasn't in front of her schedule, and that she will manage it regardless. I followed up on Friday, to no response. On Saturday I receive a message saying that only Monday can be managed. When I was obviously shocked that I was being notified so late, I received the following message from Ms. Sheena, 'Ma'am nothing is scheduled until I send the bill of landing and invoice over and take a deposit. I didn't do none of that. Do you have any other days or flexibility'. The reviews did not prepare me for this eventuality, and I believed this would have been handled better and far more professionally. Two days before my move I needed to scramble to find a mover whilst on vacation, and Man With A Van came to my rescue with excellent service. I sincere urge future customers to claim written confirmations well in time of your own moves to see to it that the same difficulties do not impact you.
