When Power Home Remodeling sells you a job they talk about how great their service is, lifetime warranty on all products including labor. Sounds great right? Well in practice its anything but, we had windows and doors installed, called for a service call because front door and back door have issues. Well 4 months for an appointment, they finally came out and said we need 2 new sliding door panels for my backdoor and the front door has a gap where you can see light through. The front door basically was installed incorrectly and either will need to be replaced or new and thicker weatherstripping needs to be installed to plug the gap. Tech said they will order parts and will probably be about 4 weeks for them to come back out. Just got a phone call and we are being told 3 months for them to come back out. Also their customer service couldn't care less. So its going to take about 7 or so months to get this resolved, hopefully. The stuff wasn't cheap at all, in fact it was probably overpriced but the lifetime warranty and lifetime labor was something I was very interested in. I can tell you that I have a couple more windows that need to be replaced and will never use Power Home for any of that. My best advice here is save some money and stay away. read more

Their "lifetime" warranty is BS. The said they would cover anything wrong with the window. Recently we've had cloudiness between the window panels (where you can't clean). Called them and they gave me some BS story about the manufacturer of the sealant stopped making it and it is a sealant problem. They want $360 per window to replace. They show you a superior product you buy it and they install something entirely different than what you agreed to. Check out the photos! This is what they call a superior quality Pella window. It is nothing like the sample or prototype they show or sell you on and that you agree to purchase. I agreed to 9 double pane embedded in the frame window. I got cut glass placed in a cheap frame and shimmed (the glass is totally independent of the frame. This was covered up with weather stripping and not apparent until day two, I was cleaning the window and weather stripping started falling off and I saw the cut glass/shims. It was then that I knew these are not my windows!!!!! Not what I was sold on/agreed to have installed! Day 1 the glass cracked and has continued to in several windows. Vinyl is lifting, warping, shifting, screens are not flush and have gaps at the bottom on one or both sides, broken locks, window openers (to Open windows for cleaning them or fresh air are loose and pop up when used. Calking in and around windows is awful. Actually revising this fact had another contractor look at these windows and install. Installed incorrectly the windows are not flush to the inside stops like they should be. I thought it was poor calking causing the gaps on the sides of windows-this is the issue. They are also unlevel 78-90% level only. In Part why the screens have gaps and don't sit flush to the base. The windows have further shifted and gaps are becoming larger. These are not the superior quality windows I agreed to purchase or expected. These are much worse than the ones removed which were drafty. I wish I could have those windows back, I regret ever meeting and hiring Power and if Pella did make this windows which is indicated on the inside of the windows and locks. They should be ashamed of themselves!! Horrible quality. Update: Power home remodeling did come out 4/10 and assess and listen to the issues. But they are only fixing 4 glass panes/one set of locks and sealing a few areas. They refuse to give me the superior windows that I purchased and agreed to. They refuse to install windows properly they are leaving the screens with gaps so I will get bugs in the house, yay!! Looking forward to that. I keep Hearing The windows are under warranty" yes I see how that works out for the many customers who have contacted you with issues they have to Live with those defects for 6m to 2+ years. Risking the integrity of their home(water damage, bugs etc) I agreed to buy/willingly pay for quality windows!!! These are crap. I just want what was agreed to!! I have called Service to help with that. They said their service date is four months away. Should I sleep and cold for four months stay with these folks service is horrible. The warranty service is simply unacceptable. I first requested warranty service several months ago and the first available appt was June 3rd a few months later. Morning of June 3rd got a call from company saying technician called in sick and appt rescheduled for August 21 Next availability. Called customer support with no earlier resolution. Company does not honor warranty servicing in reasonable time. Second similar incident with this company for warranty service. Expensive and not honor its warranty in a timely mannner. Update as of 9 Dec 2025: PHRG no longer honors the Lifetime Warranty they promoted when I purchased my windows in 2013. Instead, they now offer a "special line" of window sashes from Northeast Building Products--the supplier they no longer even contract with--as their solution for customers experiencing window issues (failing seals) with PHRG's original line of windows that PHRG installed. Their current proposal is to replace the sashes using this special line and subsidize the cost so the homeowner pays $175 per sash. This product is described as having "special technology," which sounds identical to the claims made about the original windows. PHRG provides only a labor warranty on these replacements--not a product warranty--so if there are any issues with these new sashes, the customer has no recourse. And replacing a sash usually takes no more than ten minutes of labor. What makes this even more troubling is that PHRG continued to sell and install these poor-quality windows with failing seals even after they already knew this was an ongoing issue. Based on my experience, I feel that PHRG misled their customers about the quality of the windows and the validity of the lifetime warranty. In my opinion, their conduct is unethical enough that it should be examined in court. Buyer beware--be cautious, and do not use PHRG. It will be costly and frustrating to use this company. Perhaps PHRG will respond to this update as they did to my original review, but unless they address these issues, and no longer standing by their lifetime warranty, honestly and transparently, they will not be truthful in their response. Original Review: Do not buy windows from Power Home Remodeling. The window seals break every 2/3 years. Apparently direct sun light breaks the seals which leads to energy inefficient windows with large silver streaks in glass pane. This is known issue in the company when I spoke to the warranty department. Forget what Power Home Remodeling says about lifetime replacement. The sashes are replaced but can take over a year for a window to come in AND 6 months to schedule a technician to come to the house. And then you will be replacing again. Do your research on the company and reviews. I too gave a 5 star review when my windows were installed. I would now give 0 stars. Save yourself the money and frustration. The windows are not good quality and the warranty/service is awful. I tried to escalate the window issues and service concerns in the company with no response. Please do NOT use POWER HOME AND REMODELING. THEY ARE A SCAM! When we first bought our house in 2016 we got new windows. 14 of them costing us 1k each windows. HUGE INVESTMENT. They came out sat with us for 4 hrs explaining what their windows do why they are so pricey but also offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Even if we were to move, the warranty was suppose to carry over. They supposedly fix everything from soup to nuts, rather from soup to caviar...well 9 years later my husband called to tell them we have condensation buildup. They tell him it was a faulty installation BUT our 14 windows are discontinued so, there is nothing they can do unless we want to buy a new window at a discounted rate. I think not. Everything they said was a lie. Please beware of this company as they talk a good one but when it comes down to it, they take your money and leave you high and dry in less than a decade nevermind a lifetime. We will be looking for a lawyer for this matter so if anyone knows of someone who handles this type of matter please let me know and most importantly be careful of who you go with because even a licensed company can be deceiving. read more

We listened to him and decided to give PowerHRG the benefit of the doubt to schedule an appointment, despite having previous experiences with Anderson Windows. Brian Wilson later called to answer some of our questions, providing thorough and honest responses, which led us to keep the appointment for a home visit. Jamie Grunhurd was the highlight. He explained everything in great detail, making us feel very comfortable. His warm and inviting approach, coupled with visual aids, helped justify the need for replacement windows. Unfortunately, since we are both on a fixed income and I am currently fighting cancer, we are unable to proceed with the window replacement. Buyers Beware!! In March of 2018 I had 6 double hung windows installed by Power Home Re-Modeling. In May of 2025, I called them due to the seal on 2 of them let in moisture which resulted in a film emanating inside window. After speaking with a representative, they informed me I would be charged $180 per 1/2 a double hung window to replace. If this should occur in the other windows, it will have cost me an additional $2000 to replace all. Since this was a manufacturer fault, I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager at Power home. I was told they wouldn't speak with me. I called Northeast in Philadelphia & they refused to speak with me about the issue. The rep at Power Home told me a deal has been decided between Northeast & Power Home as they have had this issue with other customers. I would never recommend Power Home remodeling to anyone. They didn't honor their warranty. read more

Their warranty, customer support and overall communication with the end user is terrible. I have a 4 panel bay window that every seal is blown in on the front of my home. It was installed around 5 years ago and the seals went bad almost two years ago. They still haven't received replacement panes. I even offered to share the cost of a whole new unit because my kids cant even see out of the window anymore. They have done every window and some doors in my home. They have no problem selling you something, but if you ever have a problem, they fall EXTREMELY short of even bad. And forget trying to get a supervisor on the phone or email you. They put in the notes that they called and left a message but I have never gotten one. Buyer beware. read more

I've had my windows for almost two years now and every other month I've called and complained about the terrible draft I get in the winter and the insane amount of water I get in my house when it rains. On September, 2024 We hired Power Home Remodeling to replace 5 windows. Apparently direct sunlight causes the one windows seals to break, creating large steams in the glass between panels. This was a known issue. When I called customer service department. Who asked me to sent a photo of the window. After sending a picture no one called me back. I called again on Friday December 20, 2024. The person from warranty department told me to clean the window from steam, he must have been joking because this steam was not outside the window. And We know that it is not possible to clean this window because the steam was between the panels. I asked when someone from service will come. And the appointment was made for March 12, 2025. Why do I have to wait so long? And We think someone from service will come right away check and replace this broken window. All the document says that you sign is you can't make any changes. No where does it say if you want to cancel you must cancel by xx date. Headline: they're alarmist, offer horrible prices, tell you inaccurate information, and waste hours and hours of your time with their sales pitch. Had someone come by our house saying we could get a free estimate. I asked how long it would take and they said it can span depending on how many questions we have but it usually takes half an hour to an hour. In reality, the salesperson (not inspector, salesperson) who came to our house spent an entire hour on a prepared presentation both before AND AFTER the inspection walking us through nonsense sales pitch talking points. This man was in our house for 3+ hours, well into and past dinner time. The worst part was, his inspection and recommendation was basically that our roof could collapse at any moment and we better not wait and definitely need to get a whole new roof immediately. We then had several other roofing companies come in to check this person's claims and recommendations and every single one of them said our roof is in great condition. We had a small leak that was old and had already been fixed and just had some stain left (which he had called a major and active leak), we had one rafter that was starting to split but would be fine for multiple more years (which he said we had several cracked rafters that are compromising the integrity of our roof), and we had one piece of plywood that could be replaced (which he inaccurately said our shingles are buckled). That was it. Beyond that the price they quoted us was insanely high. We asked the other roofing companies for an estimate just to see and every single one of them came in thousands lower than power. Do not trust this company, do not let them into your house, do not give them your money. read more

Please do not use Power for your remodeling needs. They are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Not only are they expensive but you will need to use their lifetime warranty very often because of how much they will mess up the project. And once the job is "completed", they may or may not actually respond to come and fix the issues. The main issues we had were with all of the siding and capping of our patio door. In general, things were shoddily done and parts of the houses were left exposed without proper siding. When we complained about the contractor's work, we were told we couldn't get different contractors and that "Power vets all our contractors..we've been working with them for a while" etc. Eventually the contractor WAS let go and we were told Power had to fix a bunch of issues (actually worse than ours) for 4 other houses that this contractor worked on. Also, right after they finished installing the siding, they left a bunch of SCREWS and NAILS all around the house. Their way of cleaning up was for a guy to walk around and pick up the ones he saw with his hands, not a magnet. Talk about dangerous and haphazard. Honestly I've lost count the amount of times I have had to call Power with issues. I have a million and one complaints but I've included a picture as an example so you can decide for yourself. If you look at the capping around the door, all 4 pieces are different sizes. We had to complain SEVERAL times to fix such an obvious issue. You pay tens of thousands of dollars and they can look you in the face and say the capping looks fine. read more

Day of job price increased by 12k until I threatened to throw them off property, haggled all morning until I reluctantly settled at 5. After work was completed, regional manager came out to inspect & said house needed 14k in additional work for soffits, fascia, & trim. Said trim was rotten & could fail at any time, despite the fact that they had just installed new gutters on that very trim literally 3 days before. I was constantly told how great the quality of their work is, yet they installed new gutters on rotted trim & never mentioned a word until the job was complete? Had new skylights installed, their policy is to leave interior unfinished. It looks terrible. They won't even put a cheap, generic, unpainted half round trim around them. Slimy, pushy, make another sale at all costs company that I regret ever dealing with, & never will again. Gave me a magic, just right price (salesperson said anything less is poor quality, anything more is a ripoff) then soared past their own stated ripoff price with additional charges & quotes. If I could put a big fat ZERO I would. Here is my experience as of January 2025. Guy - Patrick who cold called was very nice no complaints. We set up appointment for free estimate for 15-20 windows. Day of appointment No show No calls No text No emails. I called the company they claimed they called me but I did not get any calls, emails, text message. I gave them another chance set up 2nd appointment. Same thing at 5pm no calls, no texts no emails. Yes both appointments had prior email confirmation. I called company again, agent said they are having problems calling me from their automated system. He said maybe I blocked their number? No excuse. They sent a guy 2 hours later. He did the estimate (Adam) again nice guy. He gave me a "deal" if I did the finance application right then and there. I told him I would NOT be approved and I did not need any inquiries on my report. He said and I have it on video the inquires are not hard pulls. I was denied as expected and work up to a notice from CreditKarma 2 HARD PULLS were taken on my report. So wrong very disappointing I feel bad for the two guys who work hard for a company that tells it employees to lie and make BS excuses. I run two businesses and this was very unprofessional. UPDATE: Reply is BS in what era are we where you can not get a hold of someone via phone, email, text? BEWARE company has a class action law suit against them for poor business practices so I guess I dodged a bullet. read more
