Random door knocker was professional. Just giving out quotes: "we do not expect you to do any work. It's valid for a year." Started to get a bit cautious once I had to confirm the appointment I had just made in person over that guy's phone at the door with him. Then got another call the day after to confirm the visit again. Overkill to say the least and annoying. However, the worst was their onsite visit that never ended, was only meant to be an hour (but turned into 2.5 hrs) and was clearly meant to pressure homeowners to sign that day. I blame the corporate strategy, not the onsite messenger. "Huge" first time visit discount and the most unprofessional part of it all was the tactics: with every hesitation from our end, we got a discount. "Let me see if we can do better for you" and "we don't give out this discount anymore but I'm going to make an exception". They knocked off $16K in a few hours......RED FLAG to me. Lots of lines meant to trigger emotion of potential buyer: "may I speak candidly with you, you have an urgent need here" or "I want to say off the record that you cannot wait past July to fix this roof". I knew it was psychological games when, during the attic visit, I was told "sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you have some leaks", said to me as if my entire attic was moldy and destroyed. Lastly, the "this roof really needs to be fixed no later than this summer" turned into "ok, if you really want to wait until the fall, we can do that". To Power: if your strategy is obviously to go hard at potential clients to sign there and then, be upfront about it and take cues from the client when they are politely trying to tell you they are not ready. A $13K gap in pricing is too big: the goal is clearly to capture business fast through pressure tactics at the highest price. These tactics may work on an 82 year old lady but it was clear as day what the tactics were, and explaining your model of maximing time and materials doesn't make it any better. Come in, do a quick visit as promised, provide a quote and go. If your sign on the spot discount strategy works, great for you but maybe tell this to the person whose door you knocked on ahead of time so they know what they're in for. read more

STAY AWAY FROM1! Absolultely horrible company. Had estimate and came to house and didn't leave for 6 hours. Stupidly did have them put up the gutters and side door and was told i had a life warranty if ANYTHING happened to them. Called today because a pin fell out and 1 gutter was sagging and said it was "an act of God and i need to pay to have fixed". Guess the warranty do not cover everything like the agent said. They lie to get the business. They are not worth the aggravation. Cleanup crew also left a mess and tripping hazards as a wire i left hanging out across the door threshhold. This should of been tucked away like it was with the previous door. There are many installation company out there! Find yourself a more trusting one! read more

My family had power home change out all the windows in the house and they were great timely n efficient.....but years later over 10 years passed July 4th one of the panes of the dining room bow window shattered (popped) on its own. Which was weird since no one was near it. I called today since the windows have warranty but power home states glass is not in warranty and their first appointment to fix window would be October 23rd, 2026. This is insane....very quick to charge and take money but no concern on anything else. read more

I chose Power Home Remodeling because of its reputation and because I believed its advertised lifetime warranty would provide peace of mind if a problem ever occurred. Unfortunately, my experience with their warranty service has been extremely disappointing. Power Home Remodeling installed new siding on my home in November 2025. During a windstorm on July 3, 2026, two full sections of siding blew completely off the upper portion of my home, leaving a large opening just below the roof. When I contacted the company on July 6, I was shocked to be told that the earliest warranty appointment was October. I explained that this was not simply a cosmetic issue. The missing siding left a large opening exposed to the elements, with rain in the forecast and the potential for water intrusion. After I emailed photographs, they agreed to send someone sooner. Unfortunately, that is where the real frustration began. My scheduled warranty appointments were: * July 14 - No one arrived. No phone call. * July 25 - No one arrived. No phone call. * August 3 - No one arrived. No phone call. * August 4 - No one arrived. No phone call. Four separate appointments. Four days I rearranged my schedule. Four times I waited at home. Four times no one showed up--and no one even had the courtesy to call. Each time, I had to contact them to find out what happened. I finally requested to speak with a manager or owner because this level of customer service is unacceptable. I was told it would take 24-48 hours for someone to return my call. I also said I was considering driving to their Edison office because I could not get anyone to resolve this issue, but I was advised not to come. The most disappointing part is not that something failed. Any product can fail. What matters is how a company stands behind its work. A lifetime warranty means very little if a homeowner is left waiting months with an opening in the side of their home while repeated service appointments are simply ignored. As of today, I have now been given a fifth appointment on August 7. I sincerely hope someone finally arrives. I have included photographs showing the siding that blew off and the large opening left exposed. If Power Home Remodeling resolves this issue professionally, I will gladly update this review. At this point, however, my experience with their warranty service has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. read more

I wish I could give this company the same glowing review I would have written after they installed my windows years ago. The window installation went smoothly, and when I needed warranty service, they honored their lifetime warranty without any hassle. That outstanding experience is exactly why I chose them again for my siding, even though their price was significantly higher than other companies. I believed the extra cost was worth it because I trusted they would stand behind their products. Unfortunately, that trust has been broken. I recently discovered a small crack in one piece of siding and was surprised to learn that I would have to pay for the repair, despite the expectations created by my previous experience with their warranties. My experience with the front door they installed last year has been even more disappointing. Just two months after installation, the door stopped latching properly and blows open whenever the wind catches it. On one occasion, the door opened unexpectedly and my dogs got out, creating a dangerous situation. I contacted the company in approximately January to have the problem corrected. They scheduled a service appointment for July--already a six-month wait. About a week before that appointment, they canceled because of an emergency involving the technician. While I understand that emergencies happen, I was then told the next available appointment wasn't until October. That means I'll have lived with a defective front door for about nine months, and I was told there was nothing they could do to accommodate me sooner. It's incredibly frustrating to pay premium prices because you believe you're receiving premium products and customer service, only to find that when you need help, you're left waiting for months and expected to pay for issues you thought would be covered. I genuinely wanted to continue recommending this company based on my original window experience. Sadly, my experiences with the siding and door have completely changed my opinion. The work on my house was excellent, and I was very happy with the quality of the project itself. Unfortunately, everything changed after the project was completed and I signed the final paperwork. They left the dumpster in my driveway for an entire week after the siding was removed. Even worse, after more than four weeks and at least eight phone calls, they still have not picked up the extra materials that were left on my front lawn. To make matters worse, the dumpster company cracked my driveway, and every time I call Power, no one can give me a timeline or tell me what is being done to resolve the issue. It's very frustrating because they are a great company while they're selling and completing the project. However, once the job is finished, the customer service completely falls apart. A project that started out perfectly has turned into a nightmare simply because they failed to make sure everything was completed properly after the work was done. read more

I purchased a large living room window from power windows years ago. Over $3,000. Came with a lifetime warranty which was a big reason we went with this company. Years later one panel section started getting white dots that look like mold inside and it was growing up from the bottom. Horrible looking. They put the order in to replace and 6 months later they installed. At that time the next panel started the same thing and I called and told them. They said they would put the order in for a new panel but it would take some time again maybe another 6 months. I got busy and a year later realized we never heard anything. at this point now all 4 panels have this stuff growing inside. I called power and they have no record of me putting in another warranty claim. And now the manufacturer of my windows is out of business. So I no longer qualify to use the lifetime warranty. They told me they have another manufacturer that makes the panels that will fit but I would have to pay $180 per panel (x4) to replace them now. But the new panels will come with a lifetime warranty, ha what a joke, unless that company also sucks and goes out of business. I've emailed twice over the last two months to speak to someone else and no response. I've called 3 times and they told me to email to get a supervisor because there is nothing else they can do. Don't trust a warranty. Customer service is terrible. Power should honor the original warranty for the manufacture they were working with But instead I don't even get an email back. I was considering having them replace a few other windows but obviously not now. Better off going with another company that can be trusted to have better quality windows. read more

my first mistake was answering the door....A random knock. The guy was nice enough. they did say they were working in the neighborhood. I asked the address and that was 3-4 miles away from us. I told them we weren't really going to be doing any home repairs. Not too long ago we had new hardeeboard siding, all new windows and a new roof. He kept saying we can give you a quote for the future. Told him it would be the next owners issue if they wanted to redo anything. Got on the phone with a scheduler. I did make the appt for the next day but told them I would have to let them know when they called 2 hours before the appt if that would be a good time for both husband and myself. Then he left. A got a call 2 hours later trying to confirm the appt. Said I wouldn't know until I spoke with my husband. Then all was quiet until the next morning. Calls started at 8 am. I was at a dr appt and didn't answer. They texted and called twice more. I was getting annoyed with the calls and texts so I told them I didn't care for the harassment and that we weren't interested. Then I went to their site and read some reviews. People who wrote bad reviews echoed what I am saying now. The positive reviews sounded like they came from employees and not happy customers. Anyway, the calls keep coming everyday for over a week now. I am screenshotting my call list to keep track. I will never have them come into my home for anything. and if the calls don't stop, I will call our local police dept to see what can be done to get rid of them. (I don't want to block the number, as I am keeping track of how many times they'll try to reach me. Note this power home, I will never give you a dime for things I don't need or want. I'm not sure HOW they got my phone number, but it is 9:07 am and we just received FIVE phone calls so far this morning, AFTER we informed the guy we were not interested! Good contractors are hard to get, they don't desperately stalk you incessantly. I told the woman in customer service my feedback and she basically said it's not her job to submit that to someone in charge. I just got called AGAIN and the man lied and said my husband made an appt for 10am this morning, he "has a recording" when I said "No, he didn't" and I said "Yeah? Play it" and he just started stammering. I told them to not call or come NEAR my home AGAIN. read more

Out of the blue a knock on the door came from a highly caffeinated salesman who indicated that they had just "finished a few jobs in the area" and would like to give us a quote on new windows. I've been thinking about replacement windows so I figured "why not?" get a lay of the land with no obligation. Well... although the salesperson who showed up was very nice, she proceeded to outline the possibility of obtaining state of the art Pella windows or... a private label brand that are built allegedly to Pella's specifications -- although she couldn't guarantee which version would be available for our job. So, I'm paying for a Lexus but in all probability getting a Hyundai. Certainly ambiguity that doesn't inspire confidence and in reality is a schmucks bargain. In addition the windows come with a materials and labor guarantee of fifty years. Fine, if I live to 115 with my scruples intact but hardly reassuring if Power or their house brand manufacturer disappear. So in reality, it's a classic illusory warranty. The clincher is the financing... all mine for a usurious 13.5% for 132 months. Voila, I've just doubled the price of the windows. I could get my own financing but this offer readily illustrates "what's for sale" and how Power turns an enormous profit on each job Fly by night doesn't begin to describe the experience in addition to the usual high pressure "tonight only" discounts. There are 1,800 window manufacturers in the US and an incalculable number of installers. Choose carefully and for my money, I'll stick with the top three makers (Pella, Anderson, Marvin) and sleep much better (and warmer) at night. Pro tip. Don't sleep on the quality of the glass. There are only four manufacturers of glass in the US with Cardinal generally acknowledged as the best. Two stars for the education. read more

Went into the consultation process with no expectations. After discussing options, effects on energy efficiency, materials, and cost (which was very transparent), we opted for a front door and big front window replacement. Easy setup for installation. Job done properly in 1/2 a day. Everything looks and works way better than the prior door and window. Professional follow up provided to ensure satisfaction. It's a "yes" from me! This is a manufacturing issue and should have been covered by my warranty. I have 13 windows that is $4680. That is more than half of what I paid originally. I was someone that praised this company. Horrible. Be prepared to sit four hours, I mean HOURS of BS before getting to the entire point of an initial visit--a free estimate. Our rep Zach C. was microaggressive, rude, super pushy..almost predatory, and VERBOSE. He showed up late, got a little too comfortable on several occasions, and I guess wanted to spend an entire day just chatting in circles. At the three hour mark I was over it. I didn't really care for him or an estimate ; and was escorted out without giving an estimate- just a waste of time. I honestly do think that this is a tactic of theirs just to wear you out and have you sign whatever contract they placed at the end of an intentionally excessive long day. Unacceptable Way of Doing Business...Will report to BBB Received a quote for my roof. I was presented with a price and a set of assumptions (10 sheets of plywood for the roof). I asked if they could offer any type of additional discount since the price was outside my range. The sales rep came back and said the price actually needed to be increased because they underestimated the size of the roof. However, he was able to offer a discount that offset that and a little more. I was presented with the contract, they had some technical issues and needed me to redo it a couple of times. The next day, I received a call from the company that they actually underestimated the job again and that I would be hit with a $1,200 extra since I received the best possible price, there was nothing they could do. In speaking with the manager, it also turned out that they had changed the contract to be only 5 sheets of plywood instead of 10. When I was signing the contract, they had "technical glitches" and made me do the contract over, the print was so tiny I couldn't read so I didn't see the switch. They also told me that I was responsible for moving HVAC ductwork since it was too close to the roof (no one told me this when the quote was presented). I told them that in 1 call, I received 3 new surprises and I considered that a sign that I shouldn't move forward with them. My sales rep called me a little while later saying he could get all these issues resolved if I gave them another chance. He came back to my house and remeasured everything. He spent another hour and a half at the house and told me that they missed something else and that the job would now be $10,000 more. I told them to have a nice day, we would not be doing business together. Make sure you review every contract presented and demand that the contract be printed out if you can't read it because you might have something attempted to be pulled over on you too. read more

They NEVER reimbursed me for a different contractor to fix the first problem. They said they would. How ignorant of me to think they would. Shame on me. They did in fact hired illegal immigrants to do the initial roofing job. They didn't speak a lick of English except for the 5-minute "supervisor" that showed up in the beginning and at the end. Shame on the employees who work in that customer service department. All of you, including the men who call themselves salesmen, you all should be ashamed and embarrassed to be working for such a company that absolutely does not care about their customers. My son is in the military and is currently serving this country overseas. He is risking his life (along with thousands of others) for you and me. And this is how you treat his widowed mother. I have architectural windows and they installed aluminum make shift finish molding which looked ugly then they came back and cut out a molding out of a plastic board and didn't even cut it symmetrical that you can see the bottom of the aluminum frame they did prior don't call them if you have architectural windows you will regret it. read more

We went to the New Jersey home and garden show in Edison yesterday. We listened to the guys speech and thought we'd go ahead and get a free estimate. We own a MANUFACTURED HOME. It is a 1,802 square foot rancher. It is NOT a trailer. It has a gabled roof with asphalt shingles. We made sure we told him this. A representative was scheduled to be here 9 AM this morning. He just called and informed me that Power home remodeling doesn't work on manufactured homes and then hung up on me. I am absolutely livid. Our time was completely wasted. read more

All lies And I would never ever recommend them to anybody. Their install teams are not Power employees and they left a mess all over. Thier producers suck and when I questioned the efficacy, I was told that they don't help with that. rhere are other areas of a house that l can affect the efficacy of the house but was not told that at the time of sales. The sales rep handed me her card and said we can reach out to her anytime and it was a generic Power number that went to a call center. Called for service on a door that was installed by one person that was over 60 years old. I called and it was not flush but they argued that it was. Now sun light is coming through my door seal and I called for service with a 4 month servoce date. I asked for a manager and was told they do not have one I can speak to. if you want some services they offer, I would never call Power ever. Save yourself some frustration. I would NOT recommend them. Go local. They don't always put the customer first. Understandably there were delay issues from COVID(5 years and we still haven't gotten the reinstall though. One reason for the delay was they expected ME to call to schedule. No, that's their responsibility. For one reschedule, I was the first appointment, and there's still a 2 hour arrival window. If I'm first, there should be no window. I would understand, of course, if there was an accident or something. The quality is good. There are manipulative and overpriced. Some people are nice. Incredibly DIFFICULT to get them to fulfill their responsibility of installation. I had an appt. at 5pm on Feb 18, then get a call they'll be there at 3. I have responsibilities, to pick up my son. So they said they rescheduled til March. They schedule for me. read more

I purchased and replaced a front door through Power. It's a beautiful door. The installer were professional and courteous. The problem is that I purchased the door at a little over 11K and the final bill is $24K WTH???? The door is not a $24K value. I always recommended power to everyone i know but after the last project I've had done by power home remodeling. I will never recommend again. They had installed siding and windows on my home but after a few months I noticed the capping coming off. I called to inform them that this was happening, was told to take pictures all for them to tell me that they were not responsible because it was part of the roof. Mind you the subcontractors that installed the siding had took some of it down and bent some pieces because they had to install the new siding behind it. I use to be a loyal customer and to think I was going to have my uncle replace his siding and windows through power. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with Power Home Remodeling, and I am at a loss for where to begin.​ I added 2 pictures with the rest of my review to describe every detail of our siding and windows projects as it was too long to post here. PLEASE REVIEW THE 2 PICTURES I ATTACHED WITH THE DETAILS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! Overall, the work is subpar at best! It's not worth the money. In my profession, I've been a project manager; I would've never signed off on an incomplete and unprofessional job like this. It's a rushed and botched job. I called Power Home Remodeling this morning (4/3/25) to request they come out to fix 2 things that were obvious to the eye. The earliest they can come is June 13, 2025. Then, when my electrician was here to give me a quote on hooking up our pool, he noticed that the electrical work he had done on the outside of the house (clamping down the new wires to our updated electrical panel) - Power Home Remodeling left all the electrical wires unclamped! Then when we were in the backyard, and I was looking at the back of the house, I started to notice a lot of things out of place. Gaps in the siding, bulging siding, siding that is coming out of place, etc. Remind you, the siding was only done in October 2024, and it's April 2025! Now I have to call Power Home Remodeling again to let them know that I caught 28 additional things besides the 2 things I called them about this morning. Again, this job was not worth the money; they sold us on things that we truly didn't have, like a dedicated project manager who would check the completed project, and there was such a lack of professionalism. I've worked with many contractors in the past, and by far, this was the absolute worst experience! The company has provided poor service and unprofessional work. Even though a Project Manager finally came out in October 2024, it's April of 2025 and I've noticed 30 additional things that they did not notice (it's their job to find these flaws in the project). Not only did they fail to meet basic expectations, but they also sold us on promises, such as the presence of a dedicated project manager, which they did not fulfill. We deserve to have these issues resolved promptly, and they should significantly reduce our bill (by thousands of dollars) to reflect the subpar work. We paid $44,000 for a project that was rushed and poorly executed. I will be escalating this matter to corporate and intend to pursue this issue until it is resolved. read more

We had windows, doors, and siding done. The reps were wonderful. Very nice guys who spent a lot of time going over everything. They installed the windows first. The quality of work exceeded our expectations. They are perfect. The siding was next. Not so much. Many areas needed attention when they were through with the job. One person came back and fixed a couple of the major issues, and said someone would be back for the others. It took many calls to even get a callback. No one ever came back, and we're done trying. From the street it looks great. We are still finding nails on our lawn. Found about 30 so far. Our puppy had one in his mouth. Found one that I had to pull out of my foot. We just have to live with it at this point. The doors were the last part of the job. Again, they exceeded our expectations. They are perfect. Depends on what crew comes out I guess. read more
