Ridiculously overpriced. Made job sound more complicated than it was. Beware and make sure you get other estimates.

I highly recommend Power for All of your Home Remolding needs. This company doesn't mess around…read more It all started with a sales guy walking the neighborhood, his name is Brandon, and he had such a great personality that I took him up on his offer to make an appointment for an estimate on my roof. I am so happy I did. Next came Jack the guy who did the estimate, he was also so nice and professional and was in my yard taking pictures of my roof and gutters in the dark. Again, so glad he came. I found out my roof was old and breaking down, you cant see it from the ground, what an eye opener. I was advised to replace my roof asap. So Jack and I sat and worked out a contract to have the work down immediately. It was perfect, I am one happy Power customer. I also had my windows done in 2017 by Power. Again, great company and the finished projects are completed and professionally done. You will not be disappointed with Power!

Random door knocker was professional. Just giving out quotes: "we do not expect you to do any work…read more It's valid for a year." Started to get a bit cautious once I had to confirm the appointment I had just made in person over that guy's phone at the door with him. Then got another call the day after to confirm the visit again. Overkill to say the least and annoying. However, the worst was their onsite visit that never ended, was only meant to be an hour (but turned into 2.5 hrs) and was clearly meant to pressure homeowners to sign that day. I blame the corporate strategy, not the onsite messenger. "Huge" first time visit discount and the most unprofessional part of it all was the tactics: with every hesitation from our end, we got a discount. "Let me see if we can do better for you" and "we don't give out this discount anymore but I'm going to make an exception". They knocked off $16K in a few hours......RED FLAG to me. Lots of lines meant to trigger emotion of potential buyer: "may I speak candidly with you, you have an urgent need here" or "I want to say off the record that you cannot wait past July to fix this roof". I knew it was psychological games when, during the attic visit, I was told "sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you have some leaks", said to me as if my entire attic was moldy and destroyed. Lastly, the "this roof really needs to be fixed no later than this summer" turned into "ok, if you really want to wait until the fall, we can do that". To Power: if your strategy is obviously to go hard at potential clients to sign there and then, be upfront about it and take cues from the client when they are politely trying to tell you they are not ready. A $13K gap in pricing is too big: the goal is clearly to capture business fast through pressure tactics at the highest price. These tactics may work on an 82 year old lady but it was clear as day what the tactics were, and explaining your model of maximing time and materials doesn't make it any better. Come in, do a quick visit as promised, provide a quote and go. If your sign on the spot discount strategy works, great for you but maybe tell this to the person whose door you knocked on ahead of time so they know what they're in for.

First being that the sales team should DEFINITELY keep a physical color sample wheel for all of their appointments. It was difficult to choose a color when looking at them on a screen rather than seeing it in person. This created a temporary issue which was ultimately resolved but was an unnecessary delay. Next there are certain materials besides the siding which need to be touched on a little more, for example, the aluminum strip along my chimney would've looked nicer if it matched with the siding rather than it being white. Its a huge contrast that sticks out to me. More attention to detail on certain material colors would've been nice. All in all, the outcome is nice. There are just some things that I wish were different about my initial experience. I hope that Home Genius takes this as a learning experience so that other homeowners go through a better process than I did. Taylor wrapped this up nicely.

A very polite and friendly man came to my door on Sunday afternoon. The fact that this company thinks it is ok to bother me on a weekend, on fathers day specifically. I take that as rudeness and disrespect from the company. I have to say no tell a smiling face who isn't selling anything no they never are they just wanna do an assessment... I have to tell them no when no is never accepted. So I have to be assertive with a stranger during an unexpected visit on my day off or get peer pressured into a sales pitch. That is an unpleasant tactic and I believe it should be punished. I will never use Home Genius services for that reason alone and I hope you dont either. These unsolicited door knockings feel the sahe as new apartments going up. Enough is enough. Honorable mentions for Sun Run and Power Home remodeling.
