Updated after business response: When speaking with the gentleman on the phone, he asked me to send him pictures of the work. He never stated that he wanted to come by to provide a more accurate figure. We reviewed what needed to be done, all areas were small & contained thanks to quick identification of the source & water extraction equipment. The pictures I posted in the review were the same pictures I sent to the business owner. An estimate is not a contract, it is a written statement indicating the likely price that will be charged for specified work or repairs. Estimates protect the individual by understanding what they are signing up for when they agree to work with a contractor or business. I can't speak to the quality of their work. However I contacted them for a quote and the gentleman asked for pictures of the areas needing repair. A quote was provided quickly for $5800 (see pictures for work needed). Replacing sheetrock, spackle, sanding, painting, and associated materials / labor). This was related to water damage which was being covered by my home owners insurance. When asked for a written estimate, he stated he doesn't give them unless I am going to guarantee him the work. I've successfully received many written estimates for construction related activities in the last 7 years and expressed my surprise with this statement. read more

I can vouch for the work that Kevin and his crew do...it is truly exceptional and they are definitely an asset to have in the construction business. These guys are certainly not your typical handyman team, so if you're looking for someone to do a Honey Do List, look elsewhere. You want an honest quote for work that needs to be done? Yeah, give them a little time because they are in such high demand, they are trying to accommodate everyone. They cannot take evey job, so if you are selected...be honored. First off, let me say how CUTE is the name of this business?! Michelle and Kevin are the most helpful and accommodating people I've ever had met in a business like this! Michelle answered my Yelp request immediately and it seems like she takes her job seriously because I'm up at 4-5 AM and when I had messaged her, she replied pretty fast! Wow! She was really helpful and knew exactly what was needed to be done. We needed one window to be replaced and she set me up with an appointment where Kevin would come over to take a look and speak with my father. The entire operation went so smooth at my parents' house and they gave us a really reasonable price. Kevin, Poncho, and the team did a really good job. We had a lot of bids on a complex job restoring our basement. It involved interior and exterior work. Kevin promised to do the whole job right, which really mattered to me because I didn't want any more leaks. Despite the heat (over 90 degrees every day!) they got it done in less than a week. Could not speak better about this company. Getting a contractor right now is almost impossible, especially a quality one. Kevin responded right away, showed up for an initial consultation the day after I called him, and started work less than a week after we met. Poncho, his main guy was also great - very responsive, on time, hard working, and great attention to detail. We had a large list of things to do from pocket door installation, to installing flooring, putting in a wall to separate our kitchen and more. Everything was doable and done with expert precision and care. We even threw extra odd jobs at them with no issue or frustration. Very hard to find that type of partnership. Kevin and his crew are absolutely amazing. They've done flooring, electrical, plumbing, painting, and construction for our house. They do everything and do it well. He helped us get the right floor in our kitchen, replaced the dishwasher, added electrical outlets, replaced leaking pipes, repaired the roof, rebuilt parts of the porch and repainted it. And after the work was done, he stood by it. If there were any issues, of which they were very minor, he was back at the house in minutes and stayed until it was completed. You can't ask for a better person to help, no matter what your problem is. And his prices were always reasonable, I never felt like he was taking advantage of us. read more

3 star review is because 2 general estimates covering a list of jobs doesn't tell me the price for each job. And being told "I don't have time to put a list together unless a contract is signed..." I was upfront about needing to know the price for each job and ideas for remodeling the kitchen since you said you couldn't just install the dishwasher because my layout is a disaster. I said all of this when we first met. I wanted to go with you, but you didn't tell me the cost for specific jobs. 3 stars was generous because it seems like you only wanted big jobs. I would have gone with the big jobs if you had taken the time to tell me what you would do. Nobody signs a contract for 70k without knowing what you're going to do. 70k for which jobs? I'm sure your business can do great work based on your previous reviews, but I didn't get any details from you about what you could do and that comes from not wanting my business. When someone wants someone's business you respond prepared; for an example "I can do the door for about $300 replace the door or I can do the tub, this means I will need to knock the wall down to do...." that's the information that's needed before someone agrees to give you money. Clearly you know this and I wasn't someone you wanted to take the time to do that with. I hope that is clearer because yes you did come to the house and were professional, but you made promises about giving me a list and did not follow through. Your response was I need a contract signed first, that my list wasn't clear. This is 3 weeks after reminding you to send the list for prices. So I needed some paint and cosmetic work done on my condo. So I contacted a few companies to get estimates. When Kevin came to my condo for inspection, he right away saw all the imperfections that I saw and some I didn't see (work from a previous contractor). He gave me a fair price compared to others that came and gave me an estimate. I have to be honest there was some hiccups, but they did right by me by coming back out to correct them. We just moved into a new house and needed to have kitchen cabinets put in as an emergency. The contractor we hired, wrecked the job and I had to fire them. I contacted Kevin and Michelle for help. Kevin was very upfront and didn't sugar coat it. He said he would fit me in to get our kitchen fixed ASAP. His guys were AMAZING!!! They were knowledgeable, clean and really friendly and it only took 3 days!!!! I also hired them to replace the vanity's in my bathroom. Of course they ran into issues, 1 after another but always said, don't worry, it can all be fixed. They not only fixed all of the problems but went above and beyond and didn't try and charge extra for the problems. The crew saved me from being buried in snow. However they did not return for the second snowfall as it was not worth the time and money.
