GreenSun sold us and installed a Generac 14KV generator fall of 2013. After the installation we entered into a yearly maintenance contract that is still in effect today. GreenSun has maintained the generator in a very professional manner. The home office is very attentive to scheduling the yearly maintenance the same time every year. Green Sun installed both a generator and solar panels at my house a couple of years ago, and continues to maintain these systems. Everything works great. Don't waste your time looking anywhere else. You get what you pay for with Green Sun! Excellent communication through to completion and beyond. Each of their teams performed their work using the highest quality goods so all the solar panels, piping, electrical and plumbing looked extremely slick and neat. They worked with me on placement of the generator, panels and where in the basement to run everything through, even coming back to fine tune some of the work they had done. One of the inspectors for permit approval even added a nice job and a smiley face on the white approval slip. Timeliness and pride in their work was much appreciated. I couldn't be more happier with the work and highly recommend Green Sun! read more

New to the Philly area, I needed advice on what solar installer to contract with. I met with Meenal…read moreRavel, an advocate and educator with a group called Solarize Southeast PA. Among other services, they vet solar installers each year and Exact Solar was consistently one of the best. I was already aware of Exact Solar because they are listed in several national industry groups. Contracting with Exact Solar seemed a logical choice for installing a 30 panel, 9.9 kWp system on our garage roof. I reviewed my emails with Exact Solar co-owners Mark and Dara, over the months during the lead-up to the 2019 installation, and saw a long list of my questions and their answers. They always responded to my many questions promptly and accurately. Dara put together estimates of the system's output, the point at which the system would pay for its own installation (11 years). Any questions I had that had to do with system performance or the National Electrical Code went to Mark or to Vlad, a master electrician who designs each of the systems and is operations manager. Installation of a solar array is an impressive series of steps. Early on, Jackson, a technician, came out with a device to measure sun and shade on the garage roof. He determined that a black walnut tree would interfere substantially with system performance. After I had the tree removed Jackson came back and re-measured the surroundings for a go-ahead. Jackson showed me how his instruments can infer the extent of sunlight every day of the year based on a single day's several measurements. His measurements provide the basis of Dara's long-term cost and payback estimates. Exact Solar presently has two installer teams, both reporting to Vlad. My sense is that management and the installers respect each other and work well together. My team was headed by Nick who is also outstanding to work with. He, along with Jeremy, a crew member, always "did the right thing". Like running a very long power cable from my detached garage to the house. Running a very long cable means fewer wire-nut connections, and less chance of failure over time. But it's cheaper and easier to link together shorter, leftover lengths of cable. When they were installing exterior conduit, Nick would confer with me where to put them so they'd be less noticeable. If Nick had any question about the system's design, he'd call Vlad without hesitation. Vlad is a natural teacher, soft spoken, thoughtful and expert. Exact Solar has a culture of safety. Much of the time crews are on roofs and ladders, inherently dangerous places to work, and keeping workers safe is where everything starts at Exact Solar. The crew worked carefully, methodically, and cooperatively, without rushing. For Mark, Dara, Jackson, Vlad, Nick and Jeremy, bringing solar power to our communities is a passion, a mission in life, and a commitment to a viable future and not simply a business. If I had a chance to do this install over again, I would not change a thing. The system works perfectly, the design was correct, and the install was skilled and careful and oddly enough, it's fun to monitor it. I feel I have, with Exact Solar's help, contributed to the sustainability of our community.

I had contracted Davey Tree company to have a 50 tree oak tree removed and any branches interfering with the sunlight exposure a day before their visit for final details. I get an email from the designer in Florida for my commercial property in Delaware stating they were not licensed in Delaware. A BS answer. They advertise on their website Delaware. They checked the codes here for the design. They may have been in business for 21 years but like a local surgeon stated " you're only as good as your last case. That rank a zero.

They are awful. Go somewhere else! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Will be getting a lawyer and sueing for the value of my batteries!

It's been almost a year of our generation, and so far we are incredibly pleased with the experience! We have a flat roof, which some of the providers we got quotes for didn't have experience with, but it was no problem for Sea Bright. They estimated that we would generate about 90% of our electricity needs and after the first 10 months we are generating 86% so pretty darn close! One awesome thing about working with them is that you sign paperwork in the beginning to give them the authority to work directly with the electricity company and your city permit office so you as the homeowner really don't have to do any of the paperwork once you get the agreement signed with them. There were a few times I wish we had better communication- I was going to be traveling for work around the installation day and it was a little hard to coordinate. But mostly it's because they are doing all the paperwork and permits without you being involved so as the owner you sometimes feel unsure what's happening when the project is going fine. A quick email to our project manager was always enough to get the info we needed to plan, and it wasn't a big issue. You can shop around for loans with other providers or work with their financial arm - we went with their financial people because it was easiest but the terms seemed similar with most lenders. Overall we are really pleased with our choice. My kids love checking the app to see our generation and use, and we love doing something better for the environment!

This was no different from going to the strip club paying for admission but there's no entertainment. Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

Taking the leap into Solar can be intimidating and confusing. We reached out to Glen and a couple of other groups because we wanted to see if this made sense before the federal tax credit expires next year. Glen simplified everything for us. He has been doing this for a while and he has answers for all the common questions. Glen was very patient with us as we peppered him with questions (sometimes asking the same questions over again). After comparing quotes, Glen's numbers were reasonable and we decided to go with him because of the favorable reviews and the thoroughness with which he explained the process to us. From start to end the communication was excellent, we always knew where we were in the process (a lot of paperwork but they do it all for you). When it came time to do the installation, the crew came and finished everything in less than a day. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left the only remnants of their work were the panels on the roof. It was obvious this was not their first rodeo. Now on this sunny 90+ degree day with two air conditioners humming, I look at the meter outside and see my house if being fully powere by the sun ... it is a great feeling! If you are considering solar, I highly recommend Green Sun. They are a class act and the engagement feels more like a partnership than a contractor relationship. Green Sun Energy is extremely professional, from the first appointment with Glen through the entire installation, he kept us informed and was wonderful! Their electricians and plumbers are top professionals as well, they left the house clean and even took there shoes off and cleaned up during and after the installation. From the beginning, Glen was very upfront with all of the pros/cons and price, and steps required to install my solar panels. Every step was professionally done and I've never had such open communication with a company before. Since installation, they update you with helpful things to look out for, how to do simple maintenance, what to do is there is heavy snow etc. Their yearly maintenance Ser ice is great.
