Glassed tempered
Jorge N.

My family had power home change out all the windows in the house and they were great timely n efficient.....but years later over 10 years passed July 4th one of the panes of the dining room bow window shattered (popped) on its own. Which was weird since no one was near it. I called today since the windows have warranty but power home states glass is not in warranty and their first appointment to fix window would be October 23rd, 2026. This is insane....very quick to charge and take money but no concern on anything else.

Something growing inside the panels

I purchased a large living room window from power windows years ago. Over $3,000. Came with a lifetime warranty which was a big reason we went with this company. Years later one panel section started getting white dots that look like mold inside and it was growing up from the bottom. Horrible looking. They put the order in to replace and 6 months later they installed. At that time the next panel started the same thing and I called and told them. They said they would put the order in for a new panel but it would take some time again maybe another 6 months. I got busy and a year later realized we never heard anything. at this point now all 4 panels have this stuff growing inside. I called power and they have no record of me putting in another warranty claim. And now the manufacturer of my windows is out of business. So I no longer qualify to use the lifetime warranty. They told me they have another manufacturer that makes the panels that will fit but I would have to pay $180 per panel (x4) to replace them now. But the new panels will come with a lifetime warranty, ha what a joke, unless that company also sucks and goes out of business. I've emailed twice over the last two months to speak to someone else and no response. I've called 3 times and they told me to email to get a supervisor because there is nothing else they can do. Don't trust a warranty. Customer service is terrible. Power should honor the original warranty for the manufacture they were working with But instead I don't even get an email back. I was considering having them replace a few other windows but obviously not now. Better off going with another company that can be trusted to have better quality windows.

Went into the consultation process with no expectations. After discussing options, effects on energy efficiency, materials, and cost (which was very transparent), we opted for a front door and big front window replacement. Easy setup for installation. Job done properly in 1/2 a day. Everything looks and works way better than the prior door and window. Professional follow up provided to ensure satisfaction. It's a "yes" from me! Will contact Power in the future for other window and door needs, if they arise! (Apparently, they do siding and roofing as well, but we're simply not in need of those services.)

New to the Philly area, I needed advice on what solar installer to contract with. I met with Meenal…read moreRavel, an advocate and educator with a group called Solarize Southeast PA. Among other services, they vet solar installers each year and Exact Solar was consistently one of the best. I was already aware of Exact Solar because they are listed in several national industry groups. Contracting with Exact Solar seemed a logical choice for installing a 30 panel, 9.9 kWp system on our garage roof. I reviewed my emails with Exact Solar co-owners Mark and Dara, over the months during the lead-up to the 2019 installation, and saw a long list of my questions and their answers. They always responded to my many questions promptly and accurately. Dara put together estimates of the system's output, the point at which the system would pay for its own installation (11 years). Any questions I had that had to do with system performance or the National Electrical Code went to Mark or to Vlad, a master electrician who designs each of the systems and is operations manager. Installation of a solar array is an impressive series of steps. Early on, Jackson, a technician, came out with a device to measure sun and shade on the garage roof. He determined that a black walnut tree would interfere substantially with system performance. After I had the tree removed Jackson came back and re-measured the surroundings for a go-ahead. Jackson showed me how his instruments can infer the extent of sunlight every day of the year based on a single day's several measurements. His measurements provide the basis of Dara's long-term cost and payback estimates. Exact Solar presently has two installer teams, both reporting to Vlad. My sense is that management and the installers respect each other and work well together. My team was headed by Nick who is also outstanding to work with. He, along with Jeremy, a crew member, always "did the right thing". Like running a very long power cable from my detached garage to the house. Running a very long cable means fewer wire-nut connections, and less chance of failure over time. But it's cheaper and easier to link together shorter, leftover lengths of cable. When they were installing exterior conduit, Nick would confer with me where to put them so they'd be less noticeable. If Nick had any question about the system's design, he'd call Vlad without hesitation. Vlad is a natural teacher, soft spoken, thoughtful and expert. Exact Solar has a culture of safety. Much of the time crews are on roofs and ladders, inherently dangerous places to work, and keeping workers safe is where everything starts at Exact Solar. The crew worked carefully, methodically, and cooperatively, without rushing. For Mark, Dara, Jackson, Vlad, Nick and Jeremy, bringing solar power to our communities is a passion, a mission in life, and a commitment to a viable future and not simply a business. If I had a chance to do this install over again, I would not change a thing. The system works perfectly, the design was correct, and the install was skilled and careful and oddly enough, it's fun to monitor it. I feel I have, with Exact Solar's help, contributed to the sustainability of our community.

I had received a quote from their designer in Florida ???. It was laid out for 17,000 kwh…read moreground mount. $54 000. They were scheduled to come out for electrical panel checks. All Square D installed by union electrical company. I had contracted Davey Tree company to have a 50 tree oak tree removed and any branches interfering with the sunlight exposure a day before their visit for final details. I get an email from the designer in Florida for my commercial property in Delaware stating they were not licensed in Delaware. A BS answer. They advertise on their website Delaware. They checked the codes here for the design. They may have been in business for 21 years but like a local surgeon stated " you're only as good as your last case. That rank a zero.

However that was replaced with understanding and the ability to meet some pretty awesome people. I had most of my questions answered before I asked them and what I did ask was answered quickly by Rob (Sales). The installers (Other Rob and team) were also amazing. They allowed me to follow along and explained everything they were doing as I had some interest in learning. They were patient and methodical. Also, HUGE shoutout for the neatness of the work done. The cable runs that the electrician did (mint), and the lines from the roof to the garage, along with the ethernet cable installed to my network cabinet...all was done with professionalism. Lastly, the front office team were also great. They actually showed up on the job-site and said hello which was different and awesome to see. All in all, Green House Solar did a fantastic job and the only thing I get to complain about now, is the amount of cloudy days each month :)

Greenhouse Solar Review -- Delays, Poor Workmanship, and Broken Promises…read moreWe had our solar system installed by Greenhouse Solar in September 2024, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before installation, I asked whether the panels were actually in stock. I received no response. Then, on 8/26/2025, I was informed by Lee Oelkers that their regular panels were out of stock and would be replaced with a different brand. On 10/1/2025, after a night of high winds, we heard loud banging on the roof. Greenhouse Solar came out the next day and confirmed panels were loose, securing them at that time. On 12/2/2025, we were notified by NJ ADI that our paperwork for the state rebate was incomplete due to missing serial numbers on the power box. At the company's request, I opened the power box, photographed the serial numbers, and sent them in. Then, on 12/10/2025, the company admitted an error on the New Jersey state form and asked me to re-sign corrected documents. I did so, and shortly afterward we were told the state would now require a site inspection. On 12/18/2025, after a wind and rainstorm, 38% of our panels stopped functioning. When I called Greenhouse Solar on 12/19/2025, I was told the panels would "fix themselves." The following day I received another email insisting it was not an installation issue. On 12/21/2025, I emailed back disputing that microinverters "self-repair," requested service, and received no response. I then sent a corrective-action letter giving seven days to reply. On 12/24/2025, a salesperson told me they were busy with end-of-year installs, but still no official response from the company. On 12/26/2025, I finally received an email from Lauren stating a technician would be at my home on 12/31 between 8-9 a.m. No one showed up. My calls and emails went unanswered. Later that day I received a new email saying the visit was moved to January 6th, and that Lauren would be leaving the company on 1/2/26. Bottom line: Greenhouse Solar changed equipment after the sale, performed poor-quality installation, mishandled required New Jersey paperwork, and repeatedly provided inaccurate information -- including claims that failed panels would fix themselves and confirming an appointment that never occurred. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

On Tuesday, 11/17/2020, I had Jason with Momentum Solar come by and offer me a quote. Now I was…read morealready a little bit biased due to the overwhelming spam calls I would get from Momentum. He quoted me $101 a month for 19 panels and said it would cover 100% of my current electric bill. This sounded amazing but I also decided to take the advice from those on my previous Facebook post regarding shopping around. Shortly after, I spoke with Sam from Wells Solar who was surprised with what Momentum was advising. Based off of my annual kwh usage that was provided by Bluebonnet, 19 panels would actually put me at 70% offset. Momentum had the same copy of my electric bill showing my exact kWh usage yet on my proposal I noticed they had lowered my annual usage to look like higher coverage of my electric bill. When I brought this up to Jason he said "Well it's whatever you want it to be, we can up the system size if you need" which didn't clarify anything. We even looked closer at my contract from Momentum, who kept verbally advising my labor warranty was good for 25 years, but in the actual paper work it stated clearly they only cover labor for 10 years and that is if you notify them within their specified time period (you have 30 days to notify them of a problem, otherwise it is not covered). So of course I was now a little bit frustrated because, had I gone with Momentum, I would be paying the $101 plus an additional 30% to Bluebonnet for my electricity because calculations were not done correctly. On 11/25 I got one a three way call with Jason and Sam. Jason then reached out to me individually stating that they would add 5 solar panels which should then put me at 100% offset for only $5 more on my monthly payment. That sounded pretty grand, but I reached out to who I now consider my Solar Advisor, Sam, who stated 24 panels would actually put me between 90-95% offset, not 100% like Jason had stated. We reviewed the numbers and he had entered in my annual kWh usage incorrectly again. At this point on the call I told Jason that we would need to cancel our contract because the information he was providing did not match his written agreements. Be advised that this all went down on Wednesday 11/25 so imagine my surprise, when I had a knock on my door that Friday morning (11/27), from Momentum's installation company (I believe it was a subcontractor). I advised the crew that we had canceled with Momentum and they left. Thank goodness I was home for the holidays so I could tell them not to install. Within a few minutes, Julius, a manager with Momentum, called me confused about my cancellation. When I informed Julius of my three way call with Jason just two days prior he was very surprised. Apparently he chose not to cancel my project and tried to just come install the panels before I could cancel with the loan company- as all of this was happening on Black Friday and the loan company offices were closed. As a last ditch effort Julius offered to increase my system size to 31 panels at a discount. He told me it would increase my overall loan about $6k but that my term length, interest rate, and payment would all stay the same. This is where I had just had enough- there is no way to increase a loan amount, keep all the same terms, and not have your payment increased. He was flat out lying to me . Sam also advised that it didn't make sense to even have that many solar panels since the buy back is not 1 to 1 in Bluebonnet. When I pointed this out to Julius he stated those are the numbers his finance department gave him so he knows it is correct and that my paperwork would have the breakdown. I advised that after all of this miscommunication, I was going to go with Wells Solar and Julius understood and advised he would email me confirmation of my cancelation and offered to send me a quote for 24 panels ``just in case". I have yet to receive either. I was also told that all my permits have been approved and pulled but that is hard to believe as the process just started on 11/17. I believe Momentum was trying to install before getting any permitting or approval. After I thought this nightmare was over, I had the SAME crew from friday call me at 7:45 this morning (11/30) stating they were on the way to install my panels. I called Francisco back, who seems to be the team lead for installations and informed him again of our cancelation. He seemed a little bothered with Momentum because apparently lack of communication amongst this company seems to be a common trend. In short, Momentum Solar could have seriously impacted my financial stability in a negative way. So for those considering solar, please consider Wells Solar. I can even refer you to Sam, who has literally been our Solar Knight in Shining Armor.

I signed up for momentum years ago and that was a big mistake. Supposedly they were going to make…read moresure my roof was sound before installing the panels. They installed the panels, but it does not seem sound. Reviewing my bills, I am not saving any money. I called momentum to discuss the false advertising and their not living up to my expectations, and they weren't able to do anything or say anything of value. I was interested in getting central air, but was told that my solar panels do not generate enough power. I inquired about adding more panels and they said that I will have to start my contact again from the beginning. I don't have to do anything. I had issues with my checking account and opened a new account. Momentum contacted me 2 weeks later to tell me that the payment didn't go through. I changed my account info immediately but had already been charged 25$ for a late fee. I also found out that you only use the power while you are generating it. At night when your solar panels aren't generating power, you will have to pay for electricity from wherever you were getting it before hand. I have a solar bill and a PSE&G bill. I guess they didn't figure out how to store the energy you generated during the day to use at night. What is the point? I am anxiously awaiting my contract with Momentum being over. I would suggest you stay away from this company and use anybody else.
