I had some issues with the company the company that manages my solar panels in 2026. I reached out to Venture Solar, my installers, and they were very responsive. I spoke with Matthew from customer experience who took the time to offer an explanation that a lay person could understand. he provided everything I needed and now the issue is resolved. This after my installation had been completed since 2019. Best installers ever, they are always there to support. There was never a charge. To Alex G ( OWNER) We purchased your solar out right in cash. With approx. 5 years of having them on our home we had a issues First time no fault of ours your company had to take of all the panels due to a small leak . First time seemed everything was taken care of. Except checking the attic and when the team put all the panels back on we thought all good. Wrong crew screwed all the solar panels to tight and never sealed all panels into our new roof. When 2025 when we had blissard heard water literally heard dropping in 2 rooms. Same wall. We contacted them ASAP. They didn t take long to come look at any damage . The nightmare started after they know had to fix. Yes first guy who came up fixed the solar panels including sealing. After that we keep having Patrick and Nate (few others text calling) Mold in the attic 3 different employees , included one who came twice to look and take pictures over n over. HORRIBLE. ! One who did come twice was roofer but the second time Patrick told us they were sending their own mold team lol. They brought to bottles of FMA .sprayed and left . We have pictures have before and sent someone else up after to make sure they were not taking advantage of us. Let's say those pictures are being saved for small claims court if needed. NO june 22 outside contract company we did like was not sent for mold issues but we were told Ryan ( great own company) would be here JUNE 22. No show on Ventures part again . We are going 7 months now. Just to get the run around like they were doing things NOt! LIED TO NO SHOWS! I was initially interested in purchasing solar, but the process quickly became confusing. The salesperson repeatedly made changes to the equipment and contract terms, which created a sense of chaos and made it difficult to understand what was actually being offered. From the start, there was significant confusion during the proposal phase. I was encouraged to sign the contract with the assurance that I had 10 days to cancel, only to later discover that the actual cancellation period was just 3 days. The sales team was disorganized and appeared to make multiple errors throughout the process, leading to ongoing miscommunication between them and myself. The lack of clear, consistent information made it hard to feel confident moving forward. When I raised concerns, management--specifically to a manager named Josh while he did attempt to help the issues were not resolved, and several promises made during the sales process were not fulfilled. Important details were spread across multiple documents, making it difficult to fully understand the terms and conditions. As a result, the entire experience became frustrating, overly complicated, and ultimately felt like a waste of time. I had hoped ownership would step in sooner to address these concerns. That said, I did receive a phone call from the owner, Alex, who expressed genuine concern about what happened and apologized for my experience. He explained that steps have been taken to prevent situations like this from happening again. While it's too late for me to move forward with Venture, I do believe the owner genuinely cares about the business and is taking action to improve the process. Honestly I'm suprised to hear about problems with this company. It's been five years since installation of my system. There were no issues, no suprises. I was able to accumulate 3 years of electric bills, and then worked with Alex to calculate the size of the system I needed to generate more power than I was currently using. I've been accumulating credits on my power bill. My contract also has a clause that the system has to generate a stated percentage of the designed power, or I receive a credit. I've consistently hit the targets so there have been no issues. I've added a EV plug to my house since then, and I'm thinking of expanding my panels. Honestly, no complaints. Do your homework, know what you need, and you should have no suprises. read more

But shortly after the lengthy first meeting, it was radio silence. Despite repeated follow ups, we never even got a contract, nor any response to our inquires as to why. I was surprised reading last 2 reviews below below as we had a wonderful outcome . We bought a house in Stamford CT and were left broke after the down payment. We needed a way to save on overhead. We reached out to 5 solar companies not a single one would meet with us because we didn't have the 2nd months electric bill. Not only did Venture come out they physically looked at the site and were able to tell me what I could save, We signed up got my first 2 weeks of usage. We then signed with Venture. I was constantly updated along every step of the way. I am now fully installed 3 months later and our first bill from the utility was for 35 cents. CAN YOU BELEIVE THAT!! We also charge our EV at home and pay nothing for fuel. I could not be happier. These guys are awesome. Not once did they try to bribe me for this review either. read more

My experience with venture solar was terrible. The sales rep came out, named Christine, after I saw Ventures ad, we had a meeting with me and a person, named Max who joined us in a zoom meeting. He apparently designs the plan for my house and figures out what the savings would be. It was an astronomical 25% of my electric bill, which for the month of February was $2200. I told her it was not worth investing in a solar system for that. I then asked about the possibility of placing some ground mounts next to the garage, which gets the best sunlight all throughout the year. I might note that I built this garage with Solar in mind. She said well "we're one of the only companies that do ground mounts". I said great! Then a technician came out and went over my house and the garage taking measurements on the house roof and the garage roof at that time I mentioned to him about the ground mounts next to the garage where I would clear it of all obstacles and trees. He took pictures and aid he would bring it to the team. I asked her about a proposal she said she was going to have sent to me, she replied Max was working on it and he would email me directly. After that, it was radio silence till a few days later when I received two phone calls from the Venture operations department asking me when would it be convenient for a technician to come out and measure the roof. To which I told her he had already been there. Then another person from operations called me and said that what the original technician didn't do was measure the roof of the house because of snow. I said that was fine and I told him about my frustrations with lack of communication with Christine, he said he would mention it to the sales manager. Then I heard from Christine after not returning my calls and she said: "Hey John, sorry about that, we're unable to complete a hybrid project". I asked her what a hybrid model was, and she replied ground mounts. I asked her why that was, and she replied, "Oh, well for one, our technician steered you in a very wrong direction". I thought to myself at that point why is his steering me in the wrong direction my problem or a reason for not going forward with my project? I replied. "The ground mounts were my idea, not his. I've since been told venture doesn't do ground mounts so that's probably why they didn't want to pursue my project after telling me all they were interested in was making me happy. And that they could do ground mounts and that they were the only company around that really does them well. . She replied to me "Okay we can't do a hybrid, We wont be doing any ground mounts on your property". I reached out to the owners, Alex Yackery and Alex Giles and they were not responsive nor had the courtesy to return my email and provide me with an explanation of the terrible service I'd received including their sales representative was providing customers with wrong information. After a little investigation and talking to some former employees, I found that a once reputable company has turned into a hard selling, not keeping promises, and deceitful to customers. I was told that the high ratings they have are fictitious. That explains a lot and well I thought I was dealing with one of the better companies. I learned the hard way. This shows me in their lack of respect for my time and treating me very poorly and that the Solar business is still a sleazy business, most of them just want to get you to sign on the bottom line, if you ask too many questions, they don't want to do it with you. I would think there's some consumer law against this type of thing. Finding an honest & good provider is next to impossible, I'm confident they are out there. I really thought Venture was going to help me rather than wasting my time. I felt the beholden to write this review and set the record straight amongst all these phony reviews. This company obviously is more interested in having customers sign on the dotted line as quickly as possible, and figure out the details later. Some joker name Jermey texted me, this one day after I contacted another solar company for a bid. I had never contacted these people. He stated: "It's Jeremy, I am still with Venture. Recently heard about a good update on the last solar quote we gave you." I asked for the last solar quote (there never was one). He tap danced around. I asked for the original quote again. No response. I asked for the name and number of his supervisor. No response. In short these are lying, evil people, doing everything they can to get a bid to you. Solar roof panels. Without hesitation, I can recommend Venture Solar. (josh.rosen@venturesolar.com) In October they installed solar panels on my roof after I interviewed and evaluated four other highly regarded companies. For the last six months my bill for electricity from Con Ed has been zero and I have been able to make more electricity than I use so I have some electricity now "in the con ed bank" that I can use at a later date when I need it. And for the last 2 months have been running A/C about 24/7. Venture Solar has the best technology and the best service. I worked with Josh Rosen who is a fantastic person to deal with because he is knowledgeable, professional, and extremely responsive. Anyone interested in solar I encourage you to contact Josh and look into this if your house has the right orientation for the sun. They are easy to work with and handle all the permits and interaction with the village, con ed and nyserta. They also provided the tax info I needed to get full refunds. I believe state and federal tax benefits are still in existence, I received about $11,000 in tax rebate and my net net cost is around $10,000 for the entire system which I bought and the payback time is about 4 1/2 years. So if you do the math, it's a no-brainer decision. It also adds to the value of the house when sold. The new owner basically gets free electricity. And their app to see and track electricity generated and used is great. read more

Absolutely the worst company to deal with. Purchased solar panels in 2022 from Sunova and the install was subcontracted to Venture Solar who made so many errors with the install of the batteries that put our home in danger. To date the Town of Brookhaven has failed to issue a approved permit because of the errors of not installing the protective elements that the Town requires. I have filed complaints with BB and with the Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs. Do not do business with this company. Horrible customer service and Their technicians are clueless. If you are looking for Solar companies, there are better ones out there. LOOK ELSEWHERE. When we first purchased our home, within a week, a guy knocked on our door, and scheduled an appointment to have Venture come out to speak to us. On the day that they were supposed to come, we had another appointment that ran later than expected. I contacted them to advise them that we may need to reschedule, they were okay with it. I kept them informed. Later, after our first appointment finished, my husband and I talked and decided to postpone this for a later time and date. I called and advised them that we cannot proceed at this moment. They were presistant, and rescheduled the appointment. Again, something came up (It was particularly important) again, we decided to cancel, they would not take "no for an answer" and rescheduled for this 01/03/24. They sent Jose Barcia. This company cannot take "NO" for an answer. He came by, he called to let us know that he was running behind. His appt was for 9 am. He came in, gave us his pitch, and reviewed our electric bill. He advised us that we could potentially save on electricity if we went solar. Eventually, we decided okay, that might not be so bad, and began the process. Jose advised us that it can take a few weeks to get everything together, permits and what have you from our town, and install can take place around March/April. We were fine with that. Since I work from home it would be no bother at all. He ran our credits and decided that we were approved for the loan for solar. A few weeks went by, and I received a call (they should be calling my husband since its name on the solar) then they wanted to tell us that the home you just purchased needs permits for things that were there already when the house was bought and it's our responsibility. If I am being honest, I flipped. I told them "Since you guys can't and won't take no for an answer, then this should all be covered by Venture. It's not fair that when we purchased the house all of this was there, and Venture needs to cover the cost of all the permits that are needed. Venture pushed themselves on us and refused to accept that we can't proceed with this right now." To which Jose advised "I'll see what I can do." Keep in mind they have already come out and inspected our roof and advised that everything was in decent shape. Since then, I've had to reach out to Jose, and if I am being honest there's been no contact from him. When we text or call, he doesn't reply to call us back. Then when you call Venture, there is no response. No one answers. You MUST leave your number for a callback which occurs less than 5 minutes after you leave your number. If you are shopping for solar panels, please stay AWAY from Venture Solar. I'm going to "sum up" my experience with them. Installation/Pre-installation: While inspecting my attic, one of the workers sat on a sprinkler pipe causing the sprinkler head to pop down through the ceiling. I told him when it happened. He attempted to push it back up but it didn't work. After no follow up, I contacted the company to correct this issue. They didn't fix it until after the installation was done (4 months or so). During installation, the workers were unprofessional. Some were walking around my house with a cigarette hanging out their mouth, using poor language, etc. Once the system was installed, they turned it on in March. I noticed I wasn't capturing very much solar and thought it was the time of year. After calling, they sent someone out to take a look. The worker told me half of the solar panels weren't even plugged in. They corrected that. Issue still remained, I was not getting very much solar. Someone emailed me stating that it was because of the trees around my property. I honestly have 1 tree on the property that is not even in the way of sunlight to my panels. They sent someone back out to check out the system. Low and behold, the inverter wasn't working properly. By the time the system was functioning properly, it was the end of August. I went almost 6 months not banking any solar power, paying the monthly installment, PLUS I had to pay for the electricity I used because I wasn't generating even a 1/3 of what they system should have. My monthly bills were $179 for the panels, plus anywhere between $125-$225 for electricity. I complained about this to Venture Solar. They passed the buck stating it wasn't their responsibility to reimburse me for any power. They told me to call Posigen, which is the company that financed the panels. Venture Solar wouldn't contact anyone or reimburse me for all the power I missed out on. I called Posigen and had to explain the whole story to them on what has happened. They stated they aren't responsible for any missed solar, but will "look into" reimbursement for some of the electric bill. They said I had to call back in a week and a half to see if they've done anything with my complaint. I have to call THEM! Seriously? This company has horrible customer service and will just send you on a wild goose chase when you have a problem. Between them and Posigen, no one knows whose responsibility is what. I worked with Adam Strumpf of Venture Solar, he's the VP of Operations. He wouldn't give me info of who to speak with above him, I assume that's because he probably didn't want his boss knowing the disaster this company created and couldn't manage. Yes, I read good reviews and i know that most are fake. not experience I've had with Venture Solar! Yes they installed it and I've had at least 3 inspectors by now who all found flaws, last one was by just few days ago. I am a senior citizen on a very tight budges and very low income who wanted to to save on my electric bills. Venture Solar only cares about selling you the panels and takes no responsibility for lack of transparency and misrepresentation! I specifically asked what happens in the winter when there is no sun and was told not to worry about as I have a set payment. Well guess what, it's not true! instead of saving me money I have double the payment now because I have to pay for solar and because it does not produce enough energy I have huge bills from the electric company as well which I can't afford to pay. Considering that I literally use basic necessities to save electricity I still pay $300 a month for the solar and to electric company. Does anybody cares? No I explained my situation to bunch of people and all I get is that they are sorry that their sales person was not transparent and misinformed me and to wait until summer and perhaps eventually I'll get credit. I don't need eventually, I need now, it's now I don't have a budget to pay additional money. They put me in a desperate situation without offering a solution. And they tried to buy me for $300 to get me to remove negative reviews I've posted! For $300? This is going to cost me at least double that much to pay for their error but do they give a damn? Be very careful of any Solar Company especially Venture as their approach is captivating. I took bids from multiple outfits and did decide on Venture but what a nightmare! I'm in collections and my credit is effected along with zero accountability of my srecs (overage). Simply put ever solar company is hustling hard to use your house to make money for themselves. They're happy go lucky to sell you the world but after you sign the contract and they get paid you can't get any sort of customer service what so ever. The loan is thru a third party so once they get paid they wash their hands to any sort of service. Watch out for Arturo sales manager who will low ball all your quoted numbers verbally and assume your imaginary tax break super high inciting you into the project.
