Blown away with how easy and convenient it was to work with Yoni and Danik. I have been trying to find a reliable electrician to do a few things around our apartment and it wasn't easy. I called Danik, left a message and was able to receive a call back later that day. I needed our halogen can lights changed to LED and also wanted to move our HVAC thermostat to a different part of the wall (it was in the middle of a wall). However my family and I had such a wonderful, positive experience with Danik Electric that I felt this needed to be shared. I had an electrical emergency late Thursday night when my tenants' lost electricity & their circuit box began to spark. I had heard great things from a co-worker about Yoni from Danik Electrical, so I took a chance and called Yoni with the hopes of getting an answer (it was past 8pm on a weeknight). Not only did Yoni pickup immediately, he arrived at my home to fix the issue in under 20 minutes (quicker than promised)! Yoni was extremely kind, well spoken, smart and very knowledgeable from the second I spoke to him. He was able to diagnose the issue quickly and even provided a temporary fix that evening so that my tenants wouldn't have to go without electricity until the next day. He provided a fair quote and came back the next morning. On Friday Yoni arrived on time to start the job. His work is immaculate! The water-damaged circuit breakers were replaced in both my boxes, the damaged panel box was removed & replaced, and Yoni even shifted the boxes to a different area, backed on wood, to help keep water out. Yoni went above and beyond to complete the job and even sealed and waterproofed the cement around the boxes for safety. The job was complete within just a few hours! Overall, Danik Electrical & Yoni deserve an A+. Top notch customer service, communication, knowledgeability. Fair prices & clean, thorough, efficient work. Took a bit of juggling to get scheduled but if anything their flexibility was great as they accommodated my schedule and came even on a Sunday. Pricing seems reasonable and they did a job that a prior electrician didn't want to do. Apparently my prior electrician thought the job was impossible but really he just didn't think too hard on how to problem solve to make it work (we were trying to install a bathroom fan and switch, which seemed simple enough). I need a professional electrician to install eight 4-inch recessed lights in an apartment in Midtown East. I filled out a short online questionnaire and got a call from someone named Yoni within 2 minutes. He introduced himself as the owner of Danik Electrical. After he asked me some additional details about the job, he quoted me $2,000 for the installation of 8 lights. I asked him if he'd provide the housing and trim and his response was "no." He proceeded to tell me about "all of his great reviews online." So far, so good. I scheduled an appointment with him for an actual in-home estimate. I even took the day off just so that I could meet with him. He was supposed to come at 2:30 p.m. 3:00 p.m. - There was no electrician in sight. I called Yoni's phone number, but he didn't pick up. I left him a voice message, asking if he'd be able to make it. I figured he could be stuck in traffic or somewhere in the area looking for parking. I called him 2 more times. The last one was around 4:20 p.m. I never heard back from him or anyone from Danik Electrical. New Yorkers are people who value their time greatly. In my opinion choosing not to honor your appointment with a potential client is bad as it is. The only worse thing you could possibly do is not even bother to give the person a call. If I could give 10 stars to this company, I would! I'm so impressed with the promptness, professionalism, expertise and work ethics of these amazing Men. Today they beautifully fixed everything, with a very reasonable price and no damage. They have also beautifully redone the sloppy work of the previous electrician, who has caused this electrical problem in my place. Yoni and Baron are the true Masters of their profession. I had a major electrical issue in my apartment, so I called the first two highly rated electrical companies. One of them has sent me someone who had no idea what he was doing. He spent 1.5 hrs trying to figure out what the issue was, but didn't figure it out, and didn't fix anything. I tried a second highly rated by Yelp company, and they were only available to come in in a week or so. In addition, in their text messages they didn't seem very enthusiastic on taking this job, and kept sending me expensive quotes, including that I would still have to pay the $220 service fee, regardless. That turned me off, so I decided to try a third company, which happen to be Danik Electrical. I called them at 8pm, trying to find out when they would be available to come and fix the issue. Yoni answered the phone, and immediately asked me if I was home and if they can come over in the next 20 min to see what the problem was. He assured me that he won't charge me anything, he just wanted to see what the issue was. Wow, what a service, with such a good start and great attitude! Yani checked everything and found a short on the first floor. When he fixed it the floor worked but not the second floor. Super told me to find my own electrician and hung up so I asked for a quote from Danik and was contacted within a couple minutes. While I was talking to him, the electrician that my super supposedly cancelled showed up and I had to tell Danik that their services were no longer needed and they were completely nice and professional about it. The power to half my house suddenly went out and I had no idea what was going on. I went to yelp and submitted some estimate requests based on the information I had. Danik not only came right away(here in 15 minutes!), but also really checked out the problem before giving me a price on the fix. The guy who came did things I didn't even think were possible - unscrewed and opened a fuse box that had several layers of paint over it without damaging the wall at all - even got a light that hasn't worked in 4 years working! He tested my wiring, found the wire causing the problem, and promptly fixed it. He even tidied up my fuse box a bit so everything works better now overall. I was debating between a 4 and a 5 since I have no one to compare them to. I called today ( a Sunday) to make a Monday appt. I was so excited when Yoni and his partner said they could be at my house within 20 min and no weekend emergency fees. That was a HUGE plus for me already. They arrived and quickly assessed the problem. I have children and had water leaking through, from outside, an electrical outlet. For 20 years I thought it was a dead outlet.
