I joined Yelp just to give Danik (and a few other people) 5 stars because they really deserve it. I hired Danik twice, once in 2011 to install recess lighting in my house and a few days ago to fix a melted and dangerous outlet in my son's room. Both times, I couldn't be more pleased with their work. My ceiling lights are beautiful and still working fine after 6 years. And the outlet in my son's room is all fixed and working fine. What I liked about Danik's work is that they're fast to respond and that their rates are very reasonable. But what I like the most about this company is that they don't take advantage of your ignorance in electrical matters when it's clear they could. It's embarrassing to admit, but I know NOTHING about electrical issues. I can change a light bulb, and that's the extent of my knowledge in electricity. I had bad experiences with other electricians who gave me ridiculous estimates (like 3 times of what I paid Danik!!!) Great Service and Incredibly fast response time!! Our electricity went out in the middle of the night around 10PM. After checking the breaker box and noticing a burning smell we called Con Edison to report the problem, and decided to call a licensed electrician as well, thinking Con Edison would take some time to respond. After looking through yelp and seeing Danik Electrical as highly rated and having a quick response, we called them. Yoni immediately picked up and arrived in less than an hour to check on the issue. It didn't take him long to find the problem and it took him even less time to fix it. One of the wires burned up and melted in the electrical box. Yoni replaced it in no time and everything worked perfectly after he completed the job. Yoni was very professional and helpful. He didn't waste anytime talking about what he think it might be but instead just dove in to find the problem. The pricing was very fair and it was definitely worth not have my house burn down. Recently, I had an electrical fire and discovered the wiring was so old it burned out 4 outlets in my home, all connected together. YONI can recommendation and when I called him, he was there for my emergency.. He gave me his recommendation to add a line and rewire the outlets to the new line. When he performed the job he was prompt, efficient and when he was challenged with some obstacles running cables, he was creative and patient to make it work. He came with another electrician and the 2 worked hard all day to make it happen. He's installing motion lights in my yard and helped fix my fan. I was very happy he was very clean even when he had to open up some areas of the walls to run the cable.. I was worried I'd have a mess to clean but I didn't. I felt very comfortable with his style and he was honest about the job. I asked many questions and he was very patient, he didn't get annoyed like other electricians I've spoke to in the past. I reached out to an electrician in the area because I was using my heater and it sparked an outlet in my living room. The breaker was supposed to work and it didn't. The heater just blew out the outlet and I smelled smoke. It was possible I could've started a fire!! I called Danik Electrical for a consult and they ( 2 licensed electricians) came asap, within the same day. That was awesome! Yoni and his partner were very pleasant, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He said he would change the outlets and 2 breakers on my panel so that I would be safe and not cause a fire. They weren't pushy, just informative and efficient. I felt very comfortable with them because they didn't find more reasons to increase the pricing for the original problem. I liked that. I only have positive things to write about Yoni. He is responsive, punctual, efficient, and pleasant to work with. He is quick, but he doesn't rush, and he makes sure the job is done right. Yoni and his team took care of the following projects for me and they did a nice job on all of them: 1) Ran a new thermostat wire through the walls, to the boiler, and replaced an ancient thermostat with a Nest thermostat 2) Changed five lights from rocker switches to dimmers 3) Rearranged the order of light switches in two three-gang wall boxes 4) Reset a light switch that was partly sunk into the wall 5) Adjusted pendant lights that had been hung unevenly I've already reached out to him for my next project - replacing a dozen recessed light fixtures with LEDs. I normally don't have time to post reviews but I rely on them when I'm shopping around or hiring a contractor, electrician, etc.. That is why I need to post my review. I hired Danik Electrical for some electrical work after reading his excellent reviews from other people. Yani and his partner responded the same day, did an excellent job and they work very neat. After that job my wife and I hired them again to install an air condition unit in my kitchen. We are very pleased with the unit and how neat & clean they work. We had some electrical problems in our apartment, where the lights started to flicker and appliances weren't getting enough power. I called Yoni and he was able to come in the same day. He quickly narrowed down the problem to the building's main electric panels, where there was an issue with the neutral connection between the panels. He temporarily fixed the problem for me and then worked with my building management, who hired Yoni's company to properly fix the electric panels, since other apartments in the building were affected by it as well. I had problems with bathroom and kitchen wiring. The lights stopped working because some of the wires were old. I called Danik Electrical and spoke to Yoni. They came out the same day and fixed the bathroom wiring, insulated it and put up the new fixture. In addition, they fixed the kitchen light and stayed around to install 3 new outlets. Yoni and his partner are very professional, honest, trustworthy, informative, and are excellent electricians. The price was reasonable, as well. So we woke up one Sunday morning to a flood that covered my whole basement in 2inches of water, i browsed different electrical companies and found Danik electrical...yoni picked up (who was super nice)offered me a free estimate right away(which i love to hear), he came and immediately jumped on the job and took charge...he basically re-modeled all the electrical work for my basement..he installed modern spotlights and switches, all the outlets were destroyed in the flood so he replaced all outlets. I am converting my garage into my office and hired Danik (Yoni) on recommendation. It has been by far the best recommendation I've ever received. I messaged Danik through Yelp on a Saturday not expecting a weekend response. Yoni contacted me within an hour and was at my house a half hour later for an estimate on a 220 Volt line for a Mini Split A/C that was wired incorrectly. He explained exactly how he wanted to do the job (up to code the right way) using the correct wire gauge, breakers and exterior material. The job was done a few days later fast, clean and professionally. He even fixed a broken outlet as part of the job. Price was also better than other electricians. Yoni was AMAZING! We called at 6:45 in the morning on Sunday when we woke up to no heat and electric out in half our house. The Danik team immediately figured out the problem (which was a Con Ed issue). They did a work around to get our electric and heat back up right away while we waited for ConEd to come and address the issue on the block. They then took the time to do an excellent job of tediously labeling all of the circuits in our box which were never labeled. These guys are OUTSTANDINGLY RESPONSIVE, AWESOME, AND PROFESSIONAL! Yesterday, 11/28/2013,was Thanksgiving. I had no power in my basement, which gave me no heat or hot water. I called Yoni at 3pm & he was here by 4. He worked for over an hour to make sure that I at least had some heat & hot water for the night. He said that he would be back at 9 am this morning. He was. Yoni replaced a circuit breaker box and the ground in my house. He also replaced the pipes connecting the circuit breaker box with the meter with galvanized metal pipes. Another electrician I had hired, put pipes that werent galvanized and it was corroded very badly. I had 2 electricians work on my house and they did not do a good job. He was the only one I would recommend. He did a very good job and finished the work in a timely manner. I would recommend him to anyone and will use him again when i need an electrician. read more

This was well worth it! I am very pleased with the work. This is an old house that still had active gas lines from the gaslights. Yoni was able to correct a gas leak and rewire my 2nd. Floor. Total of 7 rooms! New ceiling lights and the ceiling fans are actually flush against the ceiling! Never before had they been that way!
