Nail pops all over the house.

USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU A. Don't care about your sanity or mental health or B. LOVE Headaches and dealing with nightmares.  Also- feel free to recommend them to your mortal enemies. For a price tag that isn't cheap, one would think they would be getting a top of the line service, with no headaches and gimmicks. Incorrect. Our experience with Power for siding couldn't have gone worse. It all started when we received a confirmation call about our start date and dumpster delivery. So it came as quite a surprise when the day came and went and no dumpster appeared. My wife had to call and ask what was up and they surprised us with letting us know our project would be delayed several weeks. No problem but, why did they call us 24 hours before to confirm it? This is a super unorganized company is the answer. The next issue was when the delivery driver was a complete dick to my wife while dropping off the material. Ok, things happen. Unacceptable but I moved on, just chalking up his rudeness to a bad day. Wrongo. Next start with the real issues. They destroyed, literally destroyed our Verizon Wi-Fi system, removed it, put it back upside down, and didn't cover it and of course there was a state of emergency and it got flooded/destroyed to pieces. Thanks guys who were "experts" in their training! LOL. A funny joke from power I suppose? This one really takes the cake. Michael, our site manager, tried to charge us for THEIR mistakes. We signed a contract, which my understanding of a contract is that you are locked into a rate. He tried telling us that we had to pay 5K MORE than we were quoted. I obviously lost it at this point, said that was unacceptable we would have to pay for his mistake. After uncomfortably arguing for what felt like an hour (it was an actual hour) he was able to work it out with his boss and they ended up eating the 5K. But thanks so much for trying to rip us off to our faces!!! Imagine if we were elderly or just not as fast? RIP OFF KINGS. Next our Wi-Fi cable was cut again. Like, are you guys kidding me? I mean, I am not in construction, nor do I know a thing about installing siding.... but I definitely know, I wouldn't be walking around CUTTING CABLES to anything. Much less doing it twice!! So this was super infuriating for my wife who works from home. Really stellar to be without Wi-Fi for several days. Thanks Power!!!! The pop ins that they don't do anything about, that you sign in your contract, yea they were littered all over our house. From the carelessness of the guys installing it. We still have them. See photos for example. Our yard/driveway/flowerbeds/backyards/patio/tree beds are still littered with microplastics from the installation. I guess they will become a part of our home. At this point it was just funny with how horrible they were. So after they leave, pack it all up and head out... about a week or 2 later we started having some strange power issues with our house. For example, we only had electricity in our bedroom and dining room. Literally power was out in the entire house, our fridge, dishwasher, lights, bathrooms, we had NO POWER in our house. Not knowing what was up we called an electrician, couldn't fix it, then PSE&G came out around 9pm.... the guy asks, did you recently do any work to the outside of your house?"  to which we replied, "Yes we had our siding redone". "Well", the guy says, "they didn't properly re-connect your cables". AVOID THEM. I am trying to warn you!!! They just don't know what they are doing at all. The icing on the cake came last week when I went to rake the leaves. The MOTHER FCKRS STOLE our rake!! They asked us to borrow it and then just decided they needed it more than we did. Foolishly, we didn't check to see if they returned it. We are still waiting for a reply from Michael on how to rectify this. Best believe, I'll get a rake or a credit for one. F Power. I would NEVER in a hundred years use this company again or recommend it to a loved one. Again, if you know someone you do not like and would like to recommend them, go ahead. This company is a HARD PASS from me. Will never use again. I saw them talking to my neighbors, but fortunately I warned them about their sketchy, shotty business and they used other people.

Wilmer and his team at Power Home were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. After getting a very fair estimate his workers always showed up ready to work diligently and with care. From gutting our basement, refinishing floors on two levels, installing new flooring and exterior woodwork his team handled every request with a can-do, positive attitude. Every one of his team worked earnestly, honestly and an old-school work ethic that is increasingly hard to find anymore. It exists! When new suggestions (on my part) came up during the repair, Wilmer was always ready to provide a smart and economical solution. An example of this is when we found hardwood flooring under our living room carpet and we switched from putting a new floor in to restoring the old one. Some contractors wouldn't have been as understanding or adaptable. Wilmer always was a pleasure to speak with and he was always accessible to reach. I've already recommended the Power team to my sister for work at her home and would do the same for anyone looking for a reliable and talented contractor to work with. 5 stars!

Wilmer and his team are fantastic! Every item on our list, large or small, was treated with the same calm professionalism. Being new to the area, and larger home ownership, was a little nerve-wracking. Wilmer not only walked us through what was needed to address the few home issues we had - but also explained "why" it was needed. This was very much appreciated. We will not hesitate to highly recommend Power Home Contractors to anyone!

I can't find enough good words to say about Wilmer and the team at Power Home Contractors. Actually the town inspector said it best (really), "They did an excellent job" widening my driveway entrance. They were on time, extremely professional, truly a pleasure to deal with, and the price was reasonable. I recommend Wilmer and his crew and would use them again in a heartbeat.

    Ceiling Damage
    Angela B.

Wilmer and his team did a amazing job and for a great price. We had some ceiling damage in the kitchen. After opening the plaster ceiling they discover a slow leak from the bathtub above. They repaired the leak and while looking pointing out damaged wood from the water. Also notice there was a footer missing. It seems the previous owners did some remodeling work and never added the proper supports. The team could temp fix it but with the weight of tub etc i would eventually cause major damage. I decided to do the proper thing. All this work along with the installing two ceiling fans, a glass shower panel in the and bathroom was completed in a day. The team came back this morning and painted the ceiling in a few hours. Everything was always covered and protected. The team left my house clean and was very polite. They also were very respectful of COVID and always had mask on while inside. I definitely recommend them and have already referred to two of my friends.

    After

We had a very good experience with Wilmer and the crew from Power Home Contractors. They replaced of our front walk, our front steps, and rebuilt a wall of our enclosed porch, installing a new window. It was great to find a team comfortable with the variety of skills required - carpentry, concrete work, stone work, stucco and paint - and we were pleased with the results. They were quick to provide us with a quote, fair in negotiating extra work that we requested, and decent about returning calls. We hope to call on them again.

    Finished Basement

Our basement came out beautiful .. Thank you to Wilmer and his workers for doing a great job . Everyone who sees the finished product can not believe this was our basement . Very honest contractor thanks Wilmer

    Bluestone walkway

Wilmer does quality work at a fair price. Very responsive to texts and emails. And Yelp won't post this unless I make the review longer. One star for Yelp.

This is the original drop ceiling. The plaster 2 feet above it was crashing down into it.

Wilmer and his assistant worked hard to raise and replace my drop ceiling. They reinforced the wood, added insulation, painted and installed a ceiling fan for a very reasonable price. They cleaned up well after the job was done. I highly recommend!

Excellent work by Wilmer and his crew did in the bathroom.

I don't know what's happened but, they are no longer the company they used to be. I recently hired Wilbers to repair a loose newel post at the bottom of my stairs. When Danny the estimator came he explained that it might be an easy fix or more involved if they needed to install a new 4X4 interior post. Though I requested that he provide estimates for both scenarios he only sent the estimate for the worst case scenario. I let that go because I trusted that they would do the right thing should it prove to be an easy fix. When they arrived it turned out that all that was needed was to replace the wooden board in the basement with a 2 ft. 2x4 and tighten the bolt that runs inside the post. The workers were here for 1 hour and for this Wilber's decided that a fair price was $820. It seemed absolutely outrageous to me that they would charge me $820 to tighten a bolt so I tried reaching out to Wilber 3 times and asked that he call me back to discuss. Well he never called me back. I can only assume that he knows full well that he did is wrong and is unable to justify his outrageous pricing. It's sad that Wilber thinks this is how you should treat a loyal customer and it's certainly disappointing to discover what an unprofessional and unethical person he is. I certainly will never utilize the services of Wilbers ever again and I would caution anyone thinking of hiring them to think twice. Wilber is a man that lacks integrity and therefore someone you cannot trust to do business with.

I connected with Andre from Three Oranges in July/August, 2023 with our interest in hiring them to do our upstairs bathroom. I knew Santiago through mutual friends for several years now, and knew Andre as well. I had expectations high, or at least wanted the job to be done correctly. After conversations with Andre, we picked out the tile for the walls, the floor, discussed the shower setup (had a tub and we wanted a stand-up shower instead), decided on the vanity, hardware, mirrors, and anything else that will be installed. We went ahead and ordered everything and loaded up half the garage so they wouldn't have to go buy them. They did, however, need to pick up consumables as well as the items that go with the heated floor. By the time they were ready to start, we were ready and had everything on hand. Well, things did not go at all as I'd expected. I returned home from work several days in a row to the heavy smell of pot smoke in the bathroom where they were working as well as in my garage. I left it alone for a few days in case it was just a 1 time thing, but it wasn't. It was daily and so much so that when I mentioned it to Andre they sent the guy home that was smoking it which left them with Andre and 2 crew members to complete the work. I was assured that it would be fine and things will move along as expected. As they got further into the project, I (as every other homeowner spending money on work like this), kept up with photos of my own and a daily walk-through and review to see how things were going. A few things left me wondering (things like 4-6" of cement in the walls? Why?), but I thought ok I am not a pro and these guys are so I'll keep checking in and trust they know what they are doing. During the entire time they worked, Andre was barely there. He would arrive in the morning, say hello, and then leave for the day. Occasionally he would return at the end of the day, but usually did not unless there were questions about the work. As they got closer to the end, Andre would arrive to do the electrical work and provide some info on how things were moving along. The end of the work came and at first glance we were very excited for what we saw. The colours and style were exactly what we were expecting. Then we did a final walk-through with Andre and began a closer look at everything and that's when the issues started to pop up. From grout that didn't match, to door and window frames that were not completed on top (including paint), to our brand new vanity and more. The vanity drawers had been cut up to make space for the drains for the sinks but they were cut in a way that was much larger than they needed to be. The drawers are built in so re-cutting them was not an option otherwise we would have to replace the entire vanity. I asked when they could paint match and replace the drawers that they cut wrong and I was told they'll be back next week to do it. Next week came and went and nothing. Santiago came for a walk-through himself and I showed him everything that we noticed that was not done well, incorrectly, or just ruined by their installation. I was told they would be back asap to fix these issues and would need to get the paint matched for the drawers to get new ones. Again, nobody came back. Several follow up requests for ETA on redoing their damage and silence. A whole year has passed and nothing has been corrected. If I knew then what I know now, I never would have hired them and looked for someone more professional. Ignoring clients after you damage their brand new things, not returning, not fixing the issues, and not caring at all is absolutely unprofessional and not something I would ever expect, especially from people I had been acquainted with previously. If you think of hiring them, keep looking. Ask people you know for recommendations. Ask for detailed information, ask for photos, videos, and any other way to verify the quality of work. I'm SOL thanks to these hacks but you don't have to be.
