Sanitizing the individual duct/vents was added ($25 extra for each vent) to the originally quoted package which he said only includes sanitizing the main duct, but I wanted that done after seeing the mold build-up on the vent registers. He also helped taking out the moldy vent registers because it's probably better just to replace than trying to clean them. Overall, glad we did the cleaning, though I wish it was clearly stated the vent sanitizing was NOT included in the quote, because the quote just said "...air duct cleaning includes up to 15 supply vents and returns, two main duct per single unit, sanitizer (to prevent mold growth)..." A little update: Later through the check-in with the owner, the owner Nick answered all my questions, told me how to maintain, and that we won't need to do a cleaning again until a few years later. Also after hearing my concern about the mold on the registers, he said the registers needed to be thrown out and replaced, but the ducts behind the vents themselves didn't have mold so didn't have to be sanitized, even though it was my request to sanitize them. I was told main duct/trunk sanitization is what they usually do and individual duct/vent sanitization is not a recommended practice actually. He offered to refund the extra charge for the vent sanitization that I didn't need. I appreciate that honesty and accountability.

Outstanding Work, Professionalism, and Honesty!…read more I couldn't be happier with the work this Rolando Velasco of Velasco Chimney did rebuilding my stone chimney. The quality of the workmanship was excellent, and he took the time to do things the right way, including grinding out the existing cement joints to ensure proper adhesion and a long-lasting result. What really impressed me was his honesty, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond. He even replaced my bluestone steps at no additional charge, which speaks volumes about his character and commitment to customer satisfaction. His pricing was very reasonable, and he provided knowledgeable, professional advice throughout the entire process. It's not easy to find a contractor who takes pride in his work, treats customers fairly, and genuinely cares about doing the job right. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality masonry work, fair pricing, and someone they can trust. His assistants were excellent workers. If you're looking for a reliable, honest, and skilled contractor, look no further!

Called for an appointment on Thursday and Friday morning the chimney guy was at the apt ready to do his job. It took him about an hour for cleaning and inspection and he told me that the fireplace was not used much in the past and it just needed a good cleaning and lookover . Rate was reasonable and the advice he gave me for proper maintenance and care was very useful ..Was thinking about having the fireplace sealed up so I wouldn't have to deal with it anymore when the new tenant moves it but the chimney guy told me , it would be a shame to not have a fireplace especially during the winter time and a fireplace in a condo apt is rare and very cool , so fireplace stays put . Glad I called Mr chimney to give the fireplace a checkup . 4.5 stars on my yelp meter .

Overall, I'm very happy with their work and the way everything turned out. The roof looks great, and the level of detail they put into it shows they really take pride in their craftsmanship. The chimney work for the boiler and water heater was done extremely well -- clean, neat, and up to code. There were some minor corrections I requested during the process, but they were very responsive and professional in addressing them. I really appreciated that they listened to my concerns and made sure I was comfortable with the final results. The only area I think could have been slightly better was the wood-burning fireplace chimney -- it works fine, but I felt it could have been finished with a bit more precision. That said, what really impressed me was the way Kenneth handled everything. He followed up several times after the job was done, made sure I was completely satisfied, and even came back personally to review some of my concerns. Kenneth is very polite, honest, and clearly cares about his customers. It's rare these days to find contractors who not only do good work but also genuinely stand behind it. You can tell they work hard and want you to be happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and hardworking people who take pride in what they do What really stood out to me was Kenneth's follow-up and professionalism. He checked in several times to make sure everything was good and even came back personally to go over some of my concerns. He's polite, honest, and truly cares about his customers. You can tell this company works hard to make sure you're satisfied. I'd definitely recommend them. Another point I want to make I have been pricing out roofs for almost 2 years. Nearly every person was a ripoff up to 55,000 for a roof Pretty Clean was honest and direct.

I recently purchased a home in Milford NJ and prior to close I had a level 2 chimney inspection…read morewhich suggested a chimney liner be installed/repaired. Contacting Rob Brancaccio was recommended by the inspection company. I immediately received a quote for the work to be done as well as a detailed outline of what exactly was being done (and why). Rob was prompt in replying to ALL of my email inquiries, even after a month or so of closing madness and delays. When I was ready for the work to be done, I emailed Rob and they had their team out to my place at the end of that same week. This leads me to the guys that were said to show up at 10am. Mike and Sean arrived promptly at 10am, abided by all COVID restrictions (masked up and kept their distance), and got right to work. Mike took the time to explain everything to me and answer any questions I had about the original condition of the chimney and utilities. Sean was up on the roof carefully cleaning and prepping while Mike was down in the utilities area cleaning up (vacuuming old debris behind boiler) before prepping for their work. Both seemed to work well together and had a great attitude through the job. The entire process was probably just over an hour. Both men finished cleaning up before requesting my attention. Social distanced, Mike came back to the house with paperwork for me to sign and pay. He explained everything they did once more, explained the warranties, permits and what to expect when I fire up my furnace for the first time. I am very happy with EVERYONE I worked with during this process. The price was on par (slightly better/competitive) with other estimates, service was top notch and everyone was friendly. A+++!!! Additional Note: 4/14/2021 Lately, I've had some leakage in the roof/chimney area following heavy rains in the same location as chimney service last year. I called and emailed pictures to Rob and he had a crew come out. The crew did a quick review and re-sealed what they could. Issue persisted. Today Rob sent out Pablo, who was a genuinely nice man and knowledgeable about his trade. There were several attempts to correct the problem, but it seemed to be unrelated to the chimney itself. Pablo spoke to me with respect and explained every thing he did and possible fixes. He me with some quotes and tips for my own knowledge of home-ownership. I could not recommend these guys enough!!

Couldn't have had a better experience…read more There are two things people want when they need help with home projects: competece and honesty. I am fortunate to have found both in Pete. I had an emergency issue regarding my gas furnace and chimney and of the several companies that came to examine the problem (some of which are well known and highly rated) Pete was the only one to correctly diagnose the issue. In doing so, he saved me much money at his own expense and (more importantly) helped keep my family warm. Now, whether that is an indictment on the honesty of others or their lack of experience compared to that of Pete, I daren't speculate. Moreover, he gave me tips about my fireplace. He was prompt, affable, and patient enough to answer my myriad questions. When i have further work to do on my chimney his will be the first number I dial.

I recently had A1 Gutters and Roofing replace my roof, and I couldn't be happier with the results…read more I found them online and got quotes from six different contractors, but I didn't choose A1 because they were the cheapest -- I chose them because of their thoroughness and professionalism. Before starting the job, they conducted a detailed evaluation of the roof and did the same once the work was complete, to make sure everything was done right from start to finish. They also brought in a licensed electrician to properly disconnect and reinstall my solar panels, and thoroughly tested them afterward to confirm everything was working correctly. In addition to the roof, they rebuilt my chimney and installed beautiful new 6" gutters -- the whole property looks fantastic. What really stood out was how flexible and fair they were during negotiations. We worked together to agree on a contract that worked for both of us, including a 50-year extended material warranty and a 25-year workmanship warranty. On top of that, they went above and beyond and threw in an extra item as a gift, which I really wasn't expecting. A1 Gutters and Roofing is professional, skilled, and honest from start to finish.
