They came at great expense and told me I needed a new boiler. I then called some local plumbers and my service company, who made many visits and tried really really hard, but no one could figure out exactly what the problem was. I then called Lou from Absolute Combustion also an authorized Laars contractor. What others couldn't figure out in many visits and hours Lou diagnosed in one visit, He got my boiler running and I now have heat and hot water that works consistently. The chimney inspector came out to take a look at a property we were planning on purchasing. He told us there were several issues and that repairs were needed. He quoted us a price, which we utilized for pricing the house. Once we closed we had the company come out to start the repairs which included replacing the flue piping in the basement, installing a new chimney liner and providing additional services to ensure our fireplace worked properly. Once the installers began their work, they discovered that the liner would not fit as the chimney had several "steps" which would need to be re mediated by OPENING OUR LIVING ROOM WALL. This would take several days, which included reinstalling the brick on the wall, but not the sheet rock. When we spoke with the owner, he told us the inspector hadn't gone on the roof to check and there was no way he could have seen the steps. He would not honor the agreed upon quote and offered to "split the difference" with us. A chimney company that does not get on the roof to inspect.........the chimney
