They are wonderful. They were clean, knowledgeable and friendly. I got a text telling me when they would be here, I did not have to wait hours at home. They did not try and sell me a new chimney liner or have me do unnecessary repairs. We discussed my upgrading my furnace. I have had rotten experiences with several other chimney cleaners over the years that I had not cleaned my chimney in 20 years. Never got around to inspecting my chimney prior to purchasing my house, so wanted to go ahead and get it checked out before using it. Researching online, Chimney Sweepers was probably the only company that had consistently good reviews. They were also able to come quickly which was nice. Price for a camera inspection--which I wanted to err on--was on par albeit a bit high to me. On the other hand, before to pay more to get something done right (especially when it comes to your house). The workers were on time and did a good job. In addition to the camera work, they checked things out on the roof as well. They worked independently, got everything done quickly, and the company followed up afterwards with video too. Can't ask much more from a niche contractor. Would hire definitely them again if needed in the future. read more

Its great to find a company that does good, honest work, and shows up on time. While I'd argue that this is a pretty low bar, so many times that's not the case. I give Chimney Sweepers a 5 star review because not only did they meet expectations, they also worked around my busy schedule to do the job in a pinch. Further, the work they did involved some construction, and I was super nervous about dust everywhere. Diego ensured that the team fully "tented" the area with plastic. I was impressed by their responsiveness on Yelp and being able to set an appointment. While the initial appointment dates didn't work out, they did set another appointment and were able to come out. When they came out they were on time, professional (and wore masks), and spent some time really cleaning the chimney on the inside, as well as the outside including assisting in taking a vine off that had grown on the chimney during the summer. They were an efficient team, and were able to explain any of the issues being had in detail. I am glad they were able to come before winter and using the chimney - and they stated their rates with an up front estimate and were true to the estimate that they gave. I also really appreciated that they took some pictures while up there to show some work that needs to be done repairing some of the bricks and cement, and were able to give me an estimate for when we decide to repair it. I saw their truck outside my neighbors house He's very smart so I called them myself. I needed an inspection and an estimate for any work they might find. Also, a sweep if necessary. They came and were busy for about 30 minutes. They found some loose outside chimney stones and grout. Gave me an estimate that I'm still thinking about. But .... amazingly, they said the sweep wasn't necessary!! Didn't charge a penny!!! Honestly and integrity! How unusual these days, I'd recommend these guys to anyone. It's so hard to find an honest chimney cleaning company. I did a lot of research and these people are certified by the National Chimney Sweep Guild and have excellent reviews on google and yelp. Their price was average $300 for 2 flues. They didn't try to sell me anything extra. The called me the day before to confirm time; called when they were on their way; were very clean and neat. Watch out for some sweeps that give you a good price for cleaning, but then try to sell you on lining the flue, which you probably don't need. read more

Amazing! the guy who answers the phone asks the pertinent questions also does the work. Claudio was on time and super nice. Professional, hHe immediately recognized the infamy of another company's previous work on my chimney. Working on a spread out movers blanket, he and his helper and some expensive looking tools got the job done fast, making it look way too easy. He started by giving my wood insert a full cleaning of all residual ashes. Then he was like a surgeon, easing brushes up and down the liner, pausing to let the dropping creosote and black clouds get sucked into his ash vac. No ladders up the house,or foot traffic on the shingles. All for about $145 after tax, an awesome price for working a wood burning insert in We$tche$ter. read more

They wore booties into the house, spread a mat in front of the fireplace and took the booties off while they worked on the mat. When finished booties back on to exit the house. We recently moved into an older home with a chimney in need of chimney liner and re-mortaring of the inner smoke chamber. We had recently gotten a very high quote from a competitor who did not take the time to explain the work that needed to be done. We called chimney sweepers and they came out to the house within 2 days. They provided excellent service and explained every aspect of the job as they went. The price was fair and far cheaper than our first quote. They even helped to re-seal the flashing around our chimney. I contacted Chimney Sweeper of NY to handle chimney repairs and cleaning for my Mom's home in Yonkers. Getting up on the roof is just not something I will ever do so I contacted Chimney Sweepers and they handled everything. They were friendly, professional and very thorough with their work. Winter is coming and I know my Mom like to put the fireplace on but it needed to be cleaned after years of neglect. There were some repairs that were needed like some relining and waterproofing around the base and they handled it all. Inside her home, they even replaced the stone around the fireplace and mantle. They did a wonderful job and she was thrilled. I am always happy to post a positive review when the service is excellent and the quality of work is superb. read more

I hired this company to clean and inspect our chimney and fireplace last month. The fireplace has been in use without a problem since then, so I assume the cleaning was properly done. The technician informed me that while the fireplace was usable at the time, it would need close to $2,000 in repairs. He said these would include replacing the bottom damper, re-grouting the bricks, and repairing the firebox. It's a good thing we got a second opinion. The technician from Mr. Chimney who inspected the chimney and fireplace this afternoon found that there was nothing at all in need, or soon to be in need, of repair. When I asked specifically about the damper, he said there was a bit of rust on this that isn't a problem. When I asked about the grout and the firebox he said he found no problem at all with either. Needless to say, I really appreciate this technicians honesty but am obviously disappointed to have received a nearly $2,000 estimate from Chimney Sweepers for work that isn't at all needed. read more

I recently purchased a home which had a chimney that had been neglected for many years and was missing the chimney cap. I called several chimney companies and Claudio was able to evaluate my home in a short period of time. Because I am a first time home owner, I knew very little about fireplaces and chimneys. He took the time to thoroughly assess my fireplace, answer all of my questions, and he made sure I completely understood all the work that needed to be done. It turned out to be a VERY big job that required two full days of work! On both days, he came on time, made sure to cover any areas that could get dirty.
