This 1 star review is in no way in reference to Power 106 Radio station. I love the radio station and have been listening for years. This review is solely for the receptionist (Krystal). She's kinda rude and probably needs more training in customer service. Last week.. I called ..and called...you know it's sooooo hard to get through the busy lines. Finally after much determination I won 2 Drake Tickets and 1000. Very exciting for me because I never win anything and also I just celebrated a birthday. My boss gave me a 2 hr lunch so that I drive from Calabasas to Burbank ...LA TRAFFIC! However..long story short. She was very unwelcoming.. I didnt even get a smile. As if I was bothering or interrupting her. She was just really short. She totally put a damper my FIRST experience of winning anything ever. Definitely not the first impression I was expecting from Power 106 as an loyal listener. If she needs some assistance in people skills...have her give me a call. Rule #1 SMILE . I went in yesterday to pick up the tickets and thankfully to my boyfriend he gave me a ride all the way from Valencia, Ca. A 30 minuet happy drive to Burbank to go pick up my Halloween Horror Night tickets. I've never been, so I was very happy to have won something and to be tickets to this, was just wonderful. So as we pull up around 2:51 pm on Wednesday 11/1/17, excellent service at the door, and nice company in the elevator. Once we reached the receptionist all happy vibes just went. She didn't even greet with a smile, she said hello and I said Hello, and why I was there. And it was to pick up Halloween Horror Night tickets and she said okay and just put out her hand and I wasn't even sure what to hand her through the glass. So I handed her everything that I had ID and papers. And she said it would take a couple minuets. So as I was on my way up, word from someone in the elevator said it only takes five minuets for her to give tickets because there's NOT MUCH she has to do.. So I thought okay, a couple minuets means about five minuets or a LIL MORE. Hence, I didn't tell her I knew about the five minuet mark till after what I witnessed with my boyfriend. As Im waiting patiently with my boyfriend, I swear I see the receptionist talk to everyone that walks out of the doors and in. But it was people that worked there, their where maybe two people that asked her a question because they didn't work there but all she had to do was point them in a direction. She was talking to everyone and all conversations were definitely not work related, and it got to the point where I interrupted her conversation with one of her girlfriends that lasted for 17 minuets talking about their drunken Halloween Night the prior. I asked what I was waiting on and told her I heard it take about five minuets. And she said she had to find my information and goes in to asking me who I talked to and what day and time I won the tickets. Her friend leaves as soon as I say so I'm waiting on you? Because you keep talking to your girl friend? . So I waited all that time so she could chit chat. It took her four minuets after I said that to finally give me the tickets. I asked for her name and she said Crystal and then as I walked away screams out have a nice day, not once but twice very obnoxiously. Very rude, and a unpleasant experience. Very bad face to the company. I don't even know if that was a real name so, (her description to me was: dark hair wears a beanie and had a retainer and constantly chews gums). read more

I have been listening to Power 106 since 1992. I have not let go of something that happened me or maybe it's happened to someone else. I think around the year 2004 or maybe 5 Felli Fel the new guy that started at 7PM he was really rude when I decided to call for the first time. Thinking I would be the lucky caller and i would have a chance to speak to Big Boy. But didn't expect to hear what Felli said to me, he asked me for my name than he responded back "You sound fat". First, I didnt call so that he can judge me.That wasn't the reason why I called. All I wanted was to request a song. Anyways I've worked for customer service and that's not the way you speak to anybody. I don't judge him but poor guy, he doesn't look the way he sounds lol. He was respected when I first heard him, ever since I turn it off or change the station when he comes on. The radio is to fulfill the people that enjoy listening through good times and bad times or like to listen to the music for motivation. I still listen to it in regards of this issue. Prior to early February 2015, this station had faithful listeners. I used to only listen in the morning when Big Boy was the host of the Neighborhood. Big Boy had a handle on what the commute should be, funny with some good music in the mix. Now that he's gone, this station is a joke. The Cruz Show was basically pulled out of the hat and someone is crossing their fingers that it works. Well it does not. There's no chemistry with the remaining characters, Cruz has no whit, no personality, much less, no talent and he will never fill the shoes of someone like Big. L.A. is left with no real stations to listen to. Morning radio sucks!! Thanks a lot for ruining the most popular, highly rated morning show in Los Angeles. read more

This station has switched from Rhythmic Top 40 to back primarily hip hop and R&B. I haven't heard any dance on Power since 92.3 went back to urban contemporary. I'm also hearing more recurrent and throwbacks now. read more

Power 106 use to be one of my favorite radio stations and I liked them because they played a mixture of old school and newschool and they also had. A mixture of dj's from black white Mexican whatever now it seems since big boy and the neighborhood has left the scene the radio station has turned into a predominantly Hispanic radio station tending more to there likings and they also stopped playing old school music :( sorry power 106 I am no racist but I don't like the new power 106 and I will not continue to be a listener read more
