They have a cool little waiting area in the 1st floor lobby- nice decor. The station itself has such an awesome vibe! If fun and good energy could be pumped into the air, they'd get it from here. We visited the Cruz Show early in the morning, and everyone there was in a great mood, happy, fun, attentive, and overall just great. They had food, snacks, and drinks/refreshments- perfect! I use to love listening to power 106 with big boy. He had this spark that no one has been able to replace. I'VE TRIED to listen to power now with jcruz but he seems so fake. Like he doesn't know how to talk to his guests and listeners, I'm like seriously, this is the best you can do to replace big boy? Out of all the djs out there, he was the only one who was "fit" for the job? I'm sorry but no. He's not even half as good. He's not even funny. Just so everyone knows. The thousand dollars takes about 8-10 weeks to get. The chance to win a million dollars kind of sucks. Who ever gets picked gets to go to their Christmas power house event or something like that and they will lay out a bunch of "money bags" and if you pick out the right bag with the money you win 10 Million. Who's to know they actually have a million dollar bag. So potentially you can win nothing. The 1K is nice though, you just have to commit your life to it for like 3 weeks straight every hour but, listening to the same music play like 30 times a day will make you put a bullet in your head. read more

OK, guys, I live all the way in San Diego. Power 106 reaches some parts of SD and honestly, I like the music this station plays. We don't have a radio station like Power 106 in SD. Majority of the radio stations we have here are Top 40, Country, Rock, and Regional Mexicana. Now, I am a hip-hop head; I listen to straight underground shit, but I like the fact that this radio station plays music that makes my morning commute real fun Yes, I know some of y'all will be saying the music they play ain't "real hip-hop" but I don't give a fuck. Variety is the spice of life. I listen to all kinds of hip hop, from philosophical poetic shit that makes you think to club bangers that makes you twerk and this radio station definitely specializes in the latter. Parking was a hassle but you can park at the hospital. It was 85 cents for 20 minutes. The lobby was really nice and the guy who worked the desk was super friendly and helpful. Came here to pick up tickets and there was no wait at all. read more

I am pretty sure you have no idea what each of those individuals on that show had to go through to make it to their current position. If you don't like it, why don't you do it, instead of hating. Upon my last review, I was contacted due to my experience. Power uses Ticketmaster for their tickets, ticket master was to blame for the seating error. Power comped two tickets to the BET Experience concert this past Saturday 6-25-2016, they did not have to do this, but they want their fans coming back and took complete ownership of the problem that occurred. This was great in my eyes and very professional. The concert was great, although the seats were in the upper level I had an amazing time, the stage was clear and the sound system at Staples was great! I've always had high expectations of Power 106 but yesterday i was very disappointed. On their station they are always saying to be caller 106 to win tickets and this time they were giving away BET Experience tickets so i figured I'd try. I called in around 10:30am and i got through and was told i was caller 106. The lady asked me what tickets i was calling in for and my name. She had a hard time understanding what my name was so i even spelled it out for her. She then told me she was going to put me on a brief hold and get me in so i waited. She then came back to the line to tell "sorry we chose another winner and gave the tickets to them. Someone that sounded like they were more excited. Feel free to call back next hour" i was in complete shock. Power 106 always promotes on the radio to be caller 106 to win the various prices but its apparent they pick and choose who the winners are depending on "how excited" they sound unless there is more than one caller 106. I was very let down by this station and never experienced anything like this. So much i felt this review was necessary so others can come up if they experienced the same thing. Going forward i hope no one else has to go through disappointment of their favorite radio station read more
