He and my two oldest brothers played r3 part harmony on their trumpets, it was an amazing sound with the excellent acoustic in our kuvingbroom. They also played at church. I took up trumpet at 8 , 1965, when my best friends joined the Navy. I also started classes in tap, jazz, ballet, baton and hula. Great to have some fantastic rock and roll this afternoon as I'm heading north on "the ten" around San Bernardino and stuck in some of the LA area's wonderful traffic. Great tunes that included The Police, Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billi Idol and even some Deep Purple. Yeah, "... some stupid with a flare gun. Burned the place to the ground." was especially appropriate as I'm stuck in traffic due to a brush fire on the side of the road. Commercials but not too many. In the meantime clips are played of a DJ talking about his ball sack & I believe Heidi or some female asking 2 others if there's such a thing as too much much head while supposedly referring to a beer they were discussing, but come on, this is public radio with kids listening at times (at least in cars with their parents, etc). Carpooled with a colleague, Heidi and Frank are about as funny as Jerry Lewis (he wasn't) in fact, they're as funny as a leukemia diagnosis. Yeah, that bad. Good morning,  I tuned in this morning and heard Frank wĥining about something being wrong with the show. Yeah Frank, the problem is Frank.  I quit listening years ago. I would rather listen to AM News on the radio than spend my drive to work listening to Narcissistic Frank drone on. He's not funny, he's a downer, he thinks that only his opinion matters, he's chauvinistic, he's always talking about his balls, I just don't like the show. I did not care for the conversation I heard on 95.5 this morning on my way to work at 7:15. If I understood it correctly, they started out by complaining about the amazon employees who want more personal protection from covid-19. Then brought in other professions (grocery, retail, etc) that should just be thankful for having a job and should stop complaining about their concerns for their safety, go to work and just do their jobs. They seemed to be having a fun time with this topic. They were laughing. I suggest that you come out of your office environment into the world that we live in. People coughing and sneezing on you, people refusing to social distance and invading your space. We are the ones that will probably get sick or die because our jobs don't allow for social distancing. I was very insulted by this mornings broadcast, I won't be tuning in any longer. read more

I won two tickets for a show on October 3, almost a month ago. I still have not received them and they won't return any of my emails. I was called the day after I won them and was told they needed to verify my identity. I didn't understand why as I had done that the day before when I spoke to them. I called the office number and kept being transferred to a guy named Brian who never answers his phone or returns emails. I tried to get someone else to help me that same week and all he told me was that they just need to verify which date they could set me up for so I could pick up the tickets. And that takes 4 weeks? At this point I feel like I am being scammed. Chris Carter and the Beatles show on Sunday are good but the rest of the station really seems to suck right now. The music is good and I like the personalities of the DJs but the promotions department does not mail out prizes. Last year during the Saint Jude marathon, I joined the Saint Jude's donor program and I was supposed to receive a special St Jude's T-Shirt from KLOS but after providing all the necessary info, the T-Shirt was never mailed out. Several month's later I was the winner of T-Shirt and digital album combo prize and that didn't arrive, either. In both cases I reached out to the promotions department but I received no reply back. I used to love KLOS in the morning. Now I can't stand it. Heidi's incessant fake laugh/cackle is enough to make me barf up breakfast. It is so annoying. As I try to avoid commercials on other stations, I curse the radio every time I land on KLOS in the morning and have to hear Heidi's annoying cackle. Very disappointed on KLOS when I heard Bruno Mars on the last rock n' roll , classic rock ,any kind of rock FM station. They might as well play Taylor Swift or even Camila Cabello ,or maybe even POWER 106's Cardi B ,which by the way I have nothing against those artist,they are all great BUT that is why there are FM stations like KIIS FM or POWER 106 to play that genre. Those radio stations do not play Guns N' Roses or Metallica do they ? No they do not . Why can't KNAC 105.5 return to Fm Radio ??? Not that this matters to KLOS but you just lost another listener. One of my favorite radio stations in all of Los Angeles, and for a reason. I love the music they play, as well as the 5 o clock funnies!!! 95.5 KLOS plays a wide variety of classic rock, as well as your old school tunes. From Pink Floyd to Led Zeppelin to Rush to Blue Oyster Cult to much much more, they got it all here. I even have the station preset in my radio in my hoopty! Once in a while, I'll listen to Heidi and Frank. Plus, whenever I get a chance, I'll listen to the 5 o clock funnies. I've heard many a comedian here, from Larry the Cable Guy to Dane Cook to one of my personal favorites, the late Mitch Hedburg to many more. Usually during the holidays, they'll play an entire marathon of their hits. Usually the marathon lasts a few days. Hey, I can go on all day hearing my favorite tunes from this station. read more

First off, I'm a big fan. Heidi and Frank are hilarious, and I love the Classic Rock and Roll played the rest of the day. That being said, I cannot give them 5-stars, as Heidi needs to read a lot more. A lot of the miss-information she blurts out on the air is horrendous! Today she said that The Elephant Man had Elephantiasis (Elephantitus) like this fellow with enlarged legs. Totally incorrect. The Elephant Man, (Joseph Merrick) suffered from "von Recklinghaus disease" which was a genetic disorder, which produced large tumors of the nervous tissue. Later it was classified as as Proteus Syndrome and neurofibromatosis, which was congenital. (Inherited). Elephantiasis on the other hand is a disease caused by a parasite, a round worm which enters the foot and burrows into the tissue causing the inflammation and enlargement of the legs. These are NOT the same diseases. One is genetic, the other is parasitic. Then there was the day Heidi claimed that May Flies lived for a total of 5 minutes. That their birth, development and reproductive cycle happens in five minutes. NOT TRUE. It happens in five DAYS! Then there was the day Heidi claimed her friend had prostate surgery and that they removed is prostate gland, by entering through the penis. NOT TRUE. No surgery of the prostate enters through the tip of the penis. Prostate surgery enters through an incision at the base of the scrotum -OR- "Micro-robotic Computerized-Surgery enters the body through five small incisions one above the navel, and four more small incisions in the lower abdomen on both sides of the lower belly. There was a time when KLOS played a great variety of bands. Then, something happened 10 years ago and their library was reduced to 10 CD's. All I would hear was The Beatles, Boston, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, and Clapton. On days when they borrowed some CD's of say Deep Purple, the only song I would hear is "Smoke on the Water." As if that was the only song they ever recorded. I left LA for 3 years and came back recently, I turned on KLOS, and what do I find? The Same 10 CD's. Nothing changed, except during every break the DJ tells you a dozen times you are listening to KLOS. Would it hurt you guys to play from the vast variety of rock music like Dio, Judas Priest, Saxon, newer Deep Purple, The Outlaws, and so much more? I switched to satellite radio. I'll remember KLOS for what it used to be. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with KLOS. Yes, it is on the dial of my car, office stereo, etc. but many times I have to move away. So much of what they play is the same old stuff ... and how many times can you listen to that stuff over and over ... Mark and Brian have been a staple of LA Drive Time talk radio for many years. With Adam Carolla going off the air, does not leave much ... so I do tune in. If lame, again I move away. LA Radio sucks ... so I have taken up putting a second iPod in my car. read more

I hate morning radio shows. I really hate the Kevin and Bean show on KROQ. Mark and Brian would entertain me for a while, then I would turn to Jack FM. I listened to this station going home-- the 101 South past the 405 into North Hollywood. So it was a good hour or so of listening time. Plus all the driving I did for the job. I enjoyed the 5 o'clock hour-- funnies, good deejay (Uncle Joe Benson-- great TV show too! BENSON ROCKED!) I agree with the other yelpers.....they toss some random songs in the mix.
