I'm 30, I grew up on All Eyez on Me, 2001, and Space Boogie: Smoke Odyssey. I've graduated to wu, alchemist, Jedi, statik, etc- but ok I digress... I've heard "callin out names" by kurupt. They play "ether" by nas on the random. "Hit em up" IN HEAVY ROTATION. Lol. I used to spit that whole 2 minute rant at the end at the lunch tables in 8th grade- and yes- they often play it thru to the bitter "My 4-4 make sure all y'all kids don't grow!" Some quik/digs free track I've never heard just came on. Right now. This is madness. Thanks kday- I called in and chatted w a young lady around 9am this morn. Aside from the prospect of potentially buying her some coffee, I'd love to know if CiCi the mamasita ever shouted me out! I was workin away:) Just keep it up. 4/5 tracks are just bangers, and the 1/5 are reminiscent slow jams of my lonely college days lol. I was caller number 10 today 5/1/2026 for the Katt Williams ticket giveaway, but the interaction with the man answering the phone lines for DJ E-Man felt pretty rude. When I got through, I was told I didn't sound excited enough. I explained that I was in the car and my baby was sleeping, so I couldn't be loud, but instead of understanding, they hung up and immediately moved on to the next caller. What made it more frustrating is that the next caller didn't sound overly excited either just speaking normally and still got through. That inconsistency didn't feel fair. Again, this isn't a complaint about Power 106 as a whole because I've always enjoyed listening and participating. I just think this particular interaction could have been handled with a bit more understanding and professionalism.

On one lonely night, we were invited to visit Jojo on the radio while he was interviewing Brandy. We park downstair in the garage for about 2 hours and the bill came out to be $15! Now I know the building charges for parking and not Iheartmedia but charging $15 to park as guests after hours is a bit too greedy. Iheartmedia previously known as Clear Channel Communications own a few of the top media radio stations in Los Angeles such as 102.7Kiis Fm, 98.7, KBIG 104.3, Kost 103.5, and a few other ones. They the master owner corporation that owns about 6 or 7 radio stations in just LA, rent a huge suite office in this Burbank entertainment building and in this suite they make 6 or 7 of these "little" radio broadcast rooms for their live broadcasts on each stations and they all share cubicles offices seats for the rest of the team. Now the radio station itself.. not a bad radio station.. except they keep playing the song all over and over and over again.. lol Ryan Seacrest is a handsome dork but you know you all love him. :-)
