I apologize for this late review, but I had my 2011 BMW 328i repaired at this shop last November. They did an EXCELLENT job on repairing my bumper. The bumper actually had to get replaced, because the original one could not be fixed. I was mainly impressed at the accuracy of the color on my bumper once the repair was completed. Jimmy is really honest and ethical. Insurance wanted to put in a used part from a junk yard into my car because it would cost less. Jimmy called me and didn't feel good about doing that so I was able to call insurance and have them approve a new part. Some shops would have just gone with that, it and I probably never would have known, but Jimmy said if he wouldn't put his own family in the car, he won't put his customers in it. I just picked up my car from Poway Valley Collision, and it was my first interaction with them (insurance claim). They are a class act, very friendly and professional. I really liked the online status updates of where my car was in the repair process. (It probably saves them a ton of phone calls from owners too.) When the rental car company took a very long time to arrive with an undersized car for all the customers that needed a rental, Jim took it upon himself to bring me to the rental car office. I am SO HAPPY With my experience with Poway valley collision. I went in to caliber collision trying to get an estimate and was told I had to wait 3 DAYS for the estimate. I used to live by Poway valley collision so I drove up here because I know the good work they do. Second time customer at Poway Valley Collison. Brought in my truck for a front fender/bumper repair. They said their schedule was wide open, so I dropped off my truck on the appointed day, picked up my rental car and was off. Like last time, they are optimistic about when your vehicle will be done, and when they miss the first target date, they start the pass the buck game between the "technicians" and the office staff. Phone calls are not returned, someone always has to run to the shop to see why the successive delivery dates are missed. If it's raining, your job is delayed even further. Usually only one person in the office staff of 3 or 4 can even give you an answer...when you can actually speak with them. "I don't know what your status is" "I don't know why someone told you it would be ready today" "I don't know if it's out of the paint shop" "I don't know" "I don't know"...etc. And the business hours are certainly not accomodating to people that pay for their auto insurance by holding a regular job. M-F 8-5...that's it. read more

Car was in for bumper/rear end damage. Although the repair looks to be very professional, the front desk staff leaves much to be desired. Repair took an extra seven days, with Poway Valley Collision blaming the insurance adjuster and the insurance adjuster blaming the repair shop. I had to keep calling for updates, and I finally suggested that they simply USE THE TELEPHONE to move the repair along instead of copping out and using emails exclusively. Didn't help. Got there to finally pick up the car and trunk lid was still mis-aligned. Another day in the shop. If you can work exclusively with Gil, do it, but he only deals with AAA and Geico repair jobs. Since mine was USAA, I was prohibited from working with Gil after he wrote the initial estimate. Funny though, one phone call to Gil and my car was ready the next day. Hmmmmm. In summary, good repair work, but nothing but excuses for poor customer service and communications. 10% discount if you mention the "Let's Talk Hook-Up" fishing show on local radio, but only for cash pay jobs - no insurance company involved. But you pay a higher labor rate if you ask for this discount, so Poway Valley Collision only gives you 10% off if they overcharge you to begin with. read more

I was hit and took my car there and received great service with them. within two weeks my husband was hit and took his car there. Not only did they take great care of us but the even went to bat for us against the insurance company we were dealing with to make sure they covered all of the repairs. they have a great relaxing feel and offer excellent service. read more

I have now worked with Poway Valley Collision three times and each time they have exceeded my expectations. On my last visit the job wasn't up to their high standards and they asked for one more day to make it perfect- and it was. They are polite, thorough, and always deliver on time. They have an online stauts update that allows you to track the status or your auto repair, which I find very helpful. They also have great follow-up on all calls and questions. Every time I call I am treated with the utmost respect and I feel like a priority in their business. Each time we have gone to PVC we were greeted by an Enterprise Rent A Car representative and taken to get our rental car right away. The turn-key operation here has been phenomenal. I randomly drove by their center to ask about a paint job that another facility performed inadequately. I had lots of questions on my mind and needed some answers, Gil Rousset spent approximately 30 minutes with me explaining what the other shop had probably done incorrectly and gave me lots of information as what to do next. Gil did all of this knowing he would not be getting my business because the specific work I needed completed they cannot perform. His input was extremely helpful and detailed and I left PVC very impressed with their attitude towards service and helpfulness. read more

Somehow.. my daughter is a magnet .. or her truck is a magnet for bad drivers ...? could it be her? Is it always the "other person's" fault? I honestly don't know but ... This place has consistently handled our vehicles (yes... vehicles) in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. They have worked with insurance and we have never had to lay out on red dime. Yesterday, in fact, we just got back our Frontier Crew Cab, that had my daughter been driving a lesser, lighter vehicle, i may have been reviewing emergency rooms. seriously. Thank God she was fine. Not a happy customer. I was referred here by my insurance carrier. When I took it in (I was rear ended), I was there for about 30 minutes and the guy still was not done processing all the damage. We left, got lunch, and had to return later that afternoon. No, they were not busy. While I was rear ended, somehow my doors needed repair and many other things costing about 10,000. I guess they figured the other guy was paying why not collect as much as possible. It then took over a month to repair. It was completed while I was on vacation. When I went to pick it up, the car was covered in dust making it difficult to review the work and they killed the battery. They had moved it out of the shop and it sat for the week. So again, back and forth I went. Then, I discovered some things that were not up to par like my windows not being able to go up or down. Simple fix I was told and it was but just more things and time that I needed to do. They also needed to reorder new parts for the car. Yes, this is after I picked it up. It has been three weeks and I have yet to hear from them. In addition to all of this mess, I was waiting for my reimbursement check for my car rental, and they cannot process it yet because Poway Valley Collision still has not sent the bill to the insurance company. It has now been about a month later. read more

My car was being repaired for two small dents in the front bumper. Estimated time for repair was 5-7 days. After the estimated time was up, I had to contact the office to find out the status of my car. I was told it would be one more day. Two days later, I had to call again, and was told the car would be ready in another two days. It took twice as long to complete the repair as the original estimated time. At no time were we ever contacted by the repair shop and told there would be a delay. The office manager was incredibly difficult to work with and very rude. While the new grill and paint job were fine, I would never take a car back to this place. read more

Poway Valley Collision has never disappointed us. Of course, it's a place you hope to never have to go, but when you do have body work to be done these are the folks to do it for you. I backed into a concrete post while shopping and took the car to Poway Valley collision for a free estimate. They were able to get my car in that same week within a couple of days and they had it back to me within the promised amount of time, and they did not have to charge more than the estimate, which can happen if there is hidden damage. . They were able to repair my bumper instead of having to purchase a new bumper and they found me a used tail light cover which also saved me some money. It looks great! On top of all that they even buffed out some scratches on the bumper which wasn't even part of what we had asked them to do. The whole thing looks brand new. We are so happy with Jim and Mary and everyone at Poway Valley collision! very professional, top-notch work. read more

I have had my car fixed here after I rear ended a truck (wooops). After I had the car towed to my house to find the right shop to send my car to I had called another tow truck company to pick it up and drop it off in the hands of Poway Valley Collision. Where I was living at the time I had an extremely steep drive way so instead of trying to come down the hill to get the car the guy without even thinking twice started up my poor little car and drove it up the hill to his tow truck. Im no expert but if a car has severe front end damage and you dont know if the traney or engine were compromised you probably wouldnt do that. Well come to find out the guy ran my car without oil and melted the plastic dipstick that the '07 civics had straight into the oil pan which ended up blowing my engine as well!!! The car had about 1000 miles on it if that and had been off the lot for 2 weeks. All I remember is that my insurance company refused to replace the engine for some reason but the amazing manager Mary fought tooth and nail for me because it wasnt my fault that had happened. And some how by some miracle she was able to talk the Honda Manufacturer into putting a new engine well one pulled from the same year car but with like 120 miles on it (sucks for whoever had that car) at no charge to me or the insurance. I dont know about you but if that doesnt show you dedication, great work ethic and a love for your job then I dont know what else does! The work was awesome and so detailed you could never tell there was ever any damage. It was done quick and I was beyond overjoyed to be reunited with my brand new (again) car!!! . For all of you out there that have Allstate I just need to say you are not in good hands no matter what the add says. Let me share my most recent experience with this aweful company. On November 13 Mike and I wer unlucky enough to get t-boned by some one who had Allstate insurance. At first every thing was ok, they acccepted full liability and recomended a few shops in our area. They said we could go anywhere but hinted that if we did not use a shop of thiers that they could not garauntee how quickly we would be reimbursed. After assurances that we would have our vehicle before Thanksgiving we agreed. We took it to Poway Valley Collision on November 17. They assured us that we would get it back in a matter of days. The original estimate for the work that we needed done was 430.00 dollars. Not bad and we were being reimbursed so we were happy. We did not want any body work done and asked them not to include that in the quote. The insurance agency insisted. So the quote went form 430.00 to 930.00. We were happy to be getting some extra cash because Mike missed a couple of carpet jobs that first weekend it was in the shop and it would help make up the difference. Allstate issued a check right away and we got it in a few days. Our van we did not get back. First they ordered the wrong tire then they never scheduled the mechanics the needed and soon we were in need of a rental car. We got the rental but no our van. They had discovered more damage and needed to raise the estimate yet again. The final total estimate was around 1300.00. Allstate was not going to aprove the new amoutn and tried to say they had already issued a payment and we would not be paid the difference. By now Mike had misses two weekends of work. I was on the phone every day to shop and insurance company. The incompatance of POway Valley Collision still astounds me. Finally after 21 days of no van I was able to pick it up on December 7th. The price we had to pay 722.84. Allstate assured me they had sent us a second check for 375. and not to worry because even though we declined the body work they still had to pay us for the damages. Today is the 13 still no second check so I called to find out what was going on. Allstate said Poway Valley Had been paid the additional amoutn and that is up to us to go after them. As far as I am concerned both companys are crooks and should be avoided at all costs. . read more

QA was substandard, per our experience. We had to take our car back at least twice to correct poor workmanship. On the 3rd time, the GenMgr got involved and I guess she got irritated and she talked to me like, I don't know anything about anything. She may be a General Manager but I am an engineer and I know a lot of stuff about quality of workmanship and technical stuff. And I also deserved to be talked like human beings and she should not make me feel like I am a third class citizen. This is America where all has the right to be treated fairly regardless of your country of origin, skin color/race, or sex. Forget my being a technical person/an engineer, but as a customer not happy with workmanship and timeliness of delivery of service, especially if I or my insurance completely paid for the service contracted, I deserve quality and appropriate service and same treatment as others obtained like some folks who somehow got above average service who had shared their experience. Timeliness 5 out of 10, Quality of work is 6 out of 10 and Customer Service/Relations, by the General Manager only, 4 out of 10. UNSAT. I gave it at least one star just because our car was finally completed and it looked like a car after they were done with it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

They not only took my car right in and fixed the problem but it was done within 10 minutes. They did an exceptional job and did not charge me a penny.
