Horrible customer service!! I never write any reviews but they really piss my off. I bought mutiple furnitures(bed, desk, dining tables, 5rugs,sofa, chairs, etc.) and spend over 20000. Few deliveried with stains and damages, some delayed for over 3 months and I still don't have them. Some got loss and I have to email&call them for 2 months for canceling the thing they lost! Their customer service never answer the phone calls and if you email them they will tell you how sorry they are and let you call their customer service number. Even if someone answer your call they will transfer you to others and on hold for ever... they ships small objects very quick but don't buy any big furniture from this company. Oh..also they would not refund you hundred dollars delivery fee if you want to cancle the delayed furnitures. I really hope my furnitures can arrived before 2021. read more

Considering Pottery Barn prices, you would expect half way decent or better customer service. Nope! They are over priced products with snobby, rude employees in their stores and online purchase and returns are a nightmare, even when they sent a defective product it was a nightmare to try and return something defective for a refund. Even when they admitted it was defective, they still wouldn't cooperate to do a refund. It was a complete waste of time. I have spent a lot of money here and will no longer shop here. read more

Purchased the Pearce Square Arm Leather Recliner over two years ago. This was supposed to be a high quality firm recliner. It is not. I'm going to put it out on the sidewalk for free this Spring. The foam seat developed a depression after a year making sitting comfortably impossible. The leather arm rest also developed white spots where the dye had not adhered to the leather. Costly mistake on my part. I do not recommend furniture from this organization based on my experiences. read more

I ordered an expensive bedding set in February and received only part of the items right away. I started using the shams and throw blanket right away, only to be notified after the fact that the duvet cover would be on back order for at least 3 months! this is an expensive set and now I'm stuck waiting for the cover since the rest is already used. I called customer service and they can't do anything to help. When I asked if they could offer a credit for at least part of the purchase, given their mistake (they cancelled and reordered on their side due to a numbering problem in their system, or so they say - and that's why we are now on back order). They should have taken some responsibility. Instead, they just said there's nothing to do but wait until end of May!!! read more

Pottery Barn doesn't want you reading reviews and there is no Google reviews portal. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. We purchased the Cushy Corner Bed in in Oct 2022. It arrived in Jan 2023 with mildewy/mold platform panels. The upholstered fabric did not match the same name fabric that customer service told us was a match that we purchased to make a slipcover. Also days after delivery the corner bed upholstery began collecting lint and pet hair! It was Cadet Navy Twill. The salesperson advised us to buy this upholstery on the corner bed because she said it doesn't attract pet hair and fuzz like the velvet and other upholstery. She was wrong!!! Staff misinformation costed us $2,000. We are stuck fabric that cost us $200 corner day bed that was around $1,800. This company gives you the run around then offers you a small e-card amount to compensate. Why any customers want to buy more from a company that doesn't take accountability for it's products?!! It's just throwing good money after bad products. We reported them to BBB and are seeking a resolution on a higher level of the company. Wishing to save others the money and stress in having to deal with this company and their "families" i.e. West Elm, William Sonoma, etc. read more

Do not shop Pottery Barn if you value decent customer service and value your time! We ordered a very large amount of furniture for our home over 7 months ago and are still waiting for the last piece of my sectional couch to be delivered. In perspective, everything was supposed to be delivered within 2-3 months. They have lost the 3rd piece to my sectional 3 times...yes, LOST it 3x! Both times it was scheduled to be delivered they just didn't show up. We didn't even get a notice they were canceling the delivery. On top of that, we almost had one of our beds destroyed due to poor assembly. They did not screw in a single screw into the mattress supports on one of my beds. I started finding little gold screws and when we lifted the mattress discovered the problem. This is the "white glove service" we paid extra money for. We have collectively spent well over 24 hours of our personal time on the phone trying to figure out where our furniture was and how to get it. My sweet husband spent 4 hours just today; including being hung up on 2x (and he was not yelling at them). Each customer service representative you speak with promises to handle it and get back with you and we have a 100% failure rate on this. All I want is what I paid good money for. Pottery Barn, do better! You have lost another customer. I will be sure to also give an accurate account of my experiences with you to everyone. read more

The chair came with no legs and was asked if I wanted to accept the chair and have the legs back ordered. I did, thinking the legs would be a couple months out as noted. After all... They have beautiful products and they are expensive. But they take your money and they delay delivery over and over and 6 months later and who even knows if it's coming. It is absolutely awful. How can they sell products they don't have take you money and not deliver. It's terrible. Beware. If it says they will deliver in 4 weeks it may never happen and when you call they have no idea when or where your items is. Very sad. read more

I ordered the Sloan extra wide dresser, They charged me at first $982 with my designer discount however to my surprise the order was canceled without notice! After being passed from rep to rep no one had an answer is to why it was canceled and how do I only know about this three weeks after i ordered. They apologized and suggested adding an additional 10% off- so they did. When I tracked the package I saw it was canceled again!!! They sent me a defective couch. It turns out that Pottery Barn hires other companies to make some of their furniture, which then enables them to take no responsibility for defects, even if you buy the couch at Pottery Barn. In my case the defective couch was made by Sutter Street Manufacturing. After getting no help from PB, I finally managed to reach Aline at Sutter Street Manufacturing, and she basically said there was nothing she could do because while the couch had a consumer product code, the defective cushions did not. I bought this couch in August 2023 and it was delivered on Oct. 30, 2023. Since then I have spent hours on the phone trying to get the cushions replaced. It's now February 7th, 2024 and I still have a defective couch in my living room. Do NOT buy furniture from Pottery Barn is the lesson here. read more

I ordered a sofa from Pottery Barn with a very expensive delivery fee. They said it would be delivered in June 2023. Is it any surprise that Pottery Barn is the least profitable and lowest performing part of the Williams Sonoma brand of companies? At any given time, you will see more people making returns at this store compared to those buying something. The customer service not just at this specific store (U Village) but across all of Pottery Barn including their call centers, customer service contact us, etc is absolutely horrid. We ordered customized Christmas stockings for the family, with monograms of names. In true Pottery Barn fashion, they were $60 a piece. Fine. When those arrived, the names were misspelled, and some stockings showed up with no monograms at all. We cross compared the products we received to our order form, because hey - maybe we made an error on the order. Nope. Our order form was completely as we intended, Pottery Barn just messed up the actual customization. Called customer service, got hung up on three times. Finally talked to an agent who said they would send a replacement order. This agent clearly didn't know what they were doing, and I had zero confidence that they actually placed a replacement order at all. Called customer service back after about an hour, as we never received the confirmation for our replacement order. Sure enough, no replacement order was even notated. We then wanted to return the entire order, as 1) this was too much of a headache for simple Christmas stockings, and 2) the stockings were intended to be a set, and 3 of ours were messed up. They then have the audacity to tell us that this order can not be returned or refunded because they are considered "customized goods". Long story short, got no help from the in store manager, who had the intelligence level of a 14 year old and the empathy level of Satan. Researched and finally got a hold of someone in corporate, who granted us a return as if they were doing us a favor for a mistake they made. Refund won't hit until our return is checked in to their warehouse in Washington DC. My confidence level is less than 10% that we actually get our money back. All this over Christmas stockings, folks. Don't even think about any big item purchases from here (furniture, etc). read more

Customer service and ordering from this company has become the worst. I ordered some bar stools back in September, they were on back order until December. In October I got an e-mail that the bar stools I previously ordered were back in stock. I called Pottery Barn and ordered one additional chair. I also asked that since they are back in stock, will my previous order be honored before new orders. I was told no. That because when I ordered they were back ordered and they will not honor any back orders before new orders, so the people who order in October will get their orders before anyone who ordered before them. I received my one chair within 2 weeks in October. Today, it's December 27th and I have noticed that all my other 3 chairs have shipped but are supposedly waiting to schedule delivery until other items in my order have arrived at the warehouse. The other items I received them all in October so I called Pottery Barn and they told me that they scheduled my delivery for January 3. I told them no one called me to do this. They said if that date doesn't work, I can reschedule but my order will be delayed again. I can't even believe that they scheduled my delivery for a date that was not coordinated with me. Never has this happened before. The customer service rep then said to me will there be anything else, I said...guess not because what's the point of trying to make sense out of nonsense. Our world is in a state of chaos and this will definitely be my last order with Pottery Barn. Retail shops are wondering why people are leaving their companies. I can tell you why, we can trust Amazon over you...that's why. Very sad. Glad I am not a young person today, because what they expect people to accept nowadays is ridiculous. read more

Gone are the days of The Pottery Barn we grew up on...style, good quality and excellent customer service... not anymore! Not to mention they've dumped the military discount....very anti American! I recently had a horrible experience there....went to exchange wedding gift for different color...mainly because you cannot see things in the store anymore. Was told at the Southpark store I could return the registry items in store but could not receive a credit...I had to wait to have gift cards sent to me?!!! They couldn't allow me to exchange in store ir give me gift cards. So I drove over an hour for no reason and missed the friends and family sale and a towel sale. After MANY days I received the gift cards and bought online. Color looked nothing like the website again so I returned them a second time. This time they sent me washcloths I didn't order and never sent me my gift cards back for the return (several hundred dollars). I had to make 4 calls to customer service and wait almost a month for them to give me my money back!!! After all of that...huge amounts of my time wasted, I could not even speak to someone over the phone about a discount...which should have been offered to me..I should not have had to ask for it after all of that! Instead I had to email customer service and wait again!!!! I was told they would apply the sale amount for the towels once my gift cards arrived and I was ready to buy again. But oddly they never asked me which sale or what the prices were that I missed. So I guess they already had decided what I would be given. I built my cart and sent it to them...they would not tell me what price they were charging me for the towels and told me I had to call in to buy, I could not simply process online. The last thing I wanted to do was call them again and waste more of my time!!!!!!. I asked why in the year 2022 and after all I had been through you couldn't give me a discount code to use online which they refused. Everything from the initial return, to keeping my gift cards to this has been very shady. I'm very disappointed in them as a company and as a long time customer, I have never had this kind of experience...they've forgotten what customer service should look like...especially when paying their prices!!!! And no military discount!!!! PEACE OUT POTTERY BARN..you used to be one of the greats. read more

Finally I was issued a new one when I called for probably the 5th time and now have to wait the original wait period of two months for a replacement. No apology or anything. I went to place an order at pottery barn by filling out my billing and shipping info. After that there was a "place order" button. I did not see shipping anywhere on that page. Pottery Barn has gone downhill since we purchased a beautiful sofa there 20 yrs ago. Recently purchased six new items from them. All but one had something wrong with it. Will NEVER spend another dime there! 1) Soma Square Arm Sofa - paid $1800 but custom fabric only on one side of seat cushions so they can't be turned over; back cushions loosely stuffed so getting lumpy after only 2 months 2) Martin upholstered bench - delivered the wrong size bench TWICE before finally getting it right the third time 3) Marcel upholstered mini sofa - arrived with broken leg 4) Irving Square arm upholstered chair - fabric on one side installed sagging and bunched up 5) Irving leather storage ottoman - all four legs not secure in base and spin around read more

Visited the store today to buy new bedding (quilt, shams etc) after waiting at the register the woman who was "helping" the woman in front of us (that means talking about places to buy socks at U Village) asked if we needed help, we said yes we did, she then called for someone to come help, then she called the manager for an override, well the manager comes up, walks past us, does the override, looks at us, doesn't say "hello, someone will be right with you", but looks at us, doesn't say a word. We waited for another minute and just decided to walk out (we waited for over 5 minutes in a store that wasn't busy and a salesperson helping someone with socks). Bought furniture online. HUGE mistake. Too pricey to return. Had Pottery Barn not removed the customer reviews I'm sure I would have read that the big problem with the dresser is the drawers don't pull out all the way. For a company that prides itself on exceptional, lasting quality with unparalleled value, I am extremely disappointed in my product and embarrassed for you. I spent over $15,000 in your store last year with one of those items being gold silverware. This silverware is completely tarnished and I will need to purchase a new product. When I asked customer service for a reimbursement, I was told there was nothing they could do. How long was this silverware supposed to last? How long should I have expected it to be gold? It certainly wasn't at the one year point that I expected this "exceptional quality" to deteriorate. Pottery Barn sells JUNK from China I ordered a Stay Pure Mattress Pad, Twin XL. When I received it I noticed the skirt was a weird stretchy material. To put it on the bed was like wrestling with a monster. There is no way one person could get this mattress pad on the bed. It took my husbands help to get it on the bed. That is pathetic, and the first time I needed help putting a mattress pad on a bed. Second, I saw the top of the mattress looked too short and narrow in comparison to the size of the bed. I got out the tape measure. It measured 37" x 77" According to their website the pad top should have measured 39" x 80" It is made in China. Don't buy! The next person says the repair team has the hardware but they have to ship it to me and once I receive it then I can schedule the appointment to have someone assemble it. Why don't you just left the repair team bring it with them to assemble it. Then when you call for an update the act as if you are inconveniencing them, I'm sorry it's been 2 weeks and you have not called or emailed me to let me know what is going on and if I don't call nothing happens. Indio Outdoor Set- Garbage , Customer Service- Garbage My husband and I purchased the Indio set at the end of summer 2017 (after having to wait for it on back order all summer). We prepared it for winter by wrapping it in a tarp then covering it with the Pottery Barn cover; no problem. The second winter of 2018 we used only the pottery barn cover. BIG MISTAKE. The cover removed the table finish completely. After contacting PB customer service & quality departments, spending hours on follow up phone calls, and waiting weeks for a response, we were told they do not repair outdoor furniture but that we could call furniture doctor to repair the finish. Furniture that's made to be outdoors, covered by furniture covers specifically made for said outdoor furniture, has no business with the finish literally peeling completely away. We would have been better off covering it with the cheap tarp from Home Depot which did not peel the finish off. Instead we spent a fortune on a PB outdoor cover, had our table destroyed by it, and now have to waste more money repairing the set. We have a house full of pottery barn items so it's not the first time we've dealt with crap but it will certainly be the last. We are done with Pottery Barn! read more

Pottery Barn I purchased the Reeva Handwoven 8x10 Rug 02Aug22, picked it up at the Southpoint NC store when it arrived a few weeks later. I love the color the pattern HOWEVER I've had nothing but issues with this rug; it is literally falling apart! It gets picks/loose carpet strings EVERY day. I've kept it clean/repaired the areas where possible. I've called the store, customer service, sent emails (address provided by a CSR) with pictures and no one has ever gotten back to me to resolve this issue. First they would say the "30 day return time had expired"; I explained this wasn't about not liking the rug; it was about a poorly made product. "We need to speak to a supervisor and will call you back" they would say but no one ever did. In addition to this hassle I didn't even get my Key Rewards points. I explained to the CSR persons that I would take a refund, a store credit or even swap for another rug. No one has EVER returned my calls or emailed me back. PB has changed, there is no longer customer service. PB has removed the online links to email PB customer service and even the ability to post individual product reviews on their website. Did they do this because the negative reviews were increasing due to declining product quality and they don't want to hear it or fix it...my opinion is yes that's exactly what they did. I wasted $1500 on a poorly made rug. PB won't make it right. I've been a loyal/happy PB customer for years. I've spent a lot of money there and had plans to spend thousands more furnishing our new home. Not going to now...those plans have changed. I'm shopping somewhere else for our new house. Pottery Barn has changed. They no longer care about product quality or customer service. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. I plan to. Update July2023: After nearly a year of dealing with this $1500 piece of crap, deteriorating Reeva carpet and ABSOLUTELY NO HELP from Pottery Barn I'm taking this carpet to the dump. I have to trim off the loops big and small EVERY DAY! The overall look of the rug is sloppy. It is not usable in any house...it looks that bad...so bad I can't even donate it to a charity. read more
