Just dined here for the first time and will definitely be back! I used to dine at the Potbelly's in Chicago inside the same building that I worked in, when I was with Charles Schwab back in 2016 (at 150 S Wacker)! Had a great experience with that location and am happy to report the same for this one in Kildeer! The Kildeer restaurant is big, roomy, airy, and has a clean, cozy, welcoming ambience--which was great, especially since I drove 15 minutes through a torrential rain storm on the way there! I had a BIG Cubano Sandwich with practically everything on it! Loved that I could swap out the boring Swiss Cheese it normally comes with, for American Cheddar, and that I could also add hot peppers, roasted red peppers, cucumbers and artichoke hearts to it--those ingredients really made the sandwich taste light years better than any other sandwich I've ever had at Potbelly's, Jimmy John's, or even at Jersey Mike's! I also had a bowl of Garden Vegetable Soup, a cup of chili, and bottle of Cherry Coke! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! My order was ready on time and accurate, too! I called the restaurant to let them know I was running 15 minutes late; they were very cool about it and kept my order nice, warm and secure! read more

Super good! This location serves your usual Potbelly favorites but they are very efficient during lunchtime. The staff are very nice and chat with you as they work through the line. Heck, I'll even give you my home address so you can build a freestanding restaurant in the vacant land down the road from my house! THAT is how much I love Potbelly. I've been a frequent visitor of Potbelly sandwiches ever since I started going to school in downtown Chicago, many years ago. I first tried "The Wreck," and I was hooked -- for LIFE. Their sandwiches are so simple, yet so delectable. Like I said above, my go-to sandwich is "The Wreck"on wheat bread, with every available condiment except for oil (the hot peppers offer enough oil for my taste). I can't remember the exact inner logistics of the sandwich because I tend to just inhale the sandwich so fast that I forget to look at the detailed ingredients. But, I can tell you it's got the basic cold cuts as the base, and they are placed on a delicious toasted bread that adds just the perfect crunch. I tend to also add a strawberry shake to my meal, which is orgasm in a cup, to put in bluntly. Man, that shake is awesome. It tastes like freshly churned strawberry ice cream straight from the barn (not that I know what that tastes like, but I imagine there are quite a few similarities)! They also add two adorable shortbread cookies on your straw! As far as the restaurants as a whole, the decor is the same throughout the chain. There seems to be a mix of vintage items and various "antiques" spread throughout the restaurants to give it an old school feel. The majority of their restaurants also have a little stage in the corner for people to play music, which is always fun. The staff always seems to be upbeat and cheerful, and this particular location was no exception to that. To note also, there are various sizes of sandwiches you can get, ranging from skinny, regular, and BIG. Their prices aren't overly outrageous, either. If you want a great sandwich that is different then the normal sandwich chains, then give Potbelly a shot -- you won't be disappointed. read more

We usually eat at the Potbelly's near our house in Algonquin. We like the staff... always super quick and pleasant. We were in the area with the family and we started getting hungry for dinner. My little kids and teenager wanted Potbelly's, while my hubby and other teen wanted Chipotle. I ordered the Tuna... delish, as always! My teen ordered the Smoked Ham and said it was very good. However, the kids had the "kids" sub. Holy cow were they small. We order them the small subs at our Potbelly's and the kids never complain... they were in shock at how little the sandwich was there and they were still hungry when the sandwich was gone. My 1st visit to this place... Not bad at all, great sandwiches selection, good prices, perfect location to go and sit down with friends, date or alone. Place is super clean. Upon arrival noticed there was a guy playing guitar which it was pretty cool because this guy was actually pretty good. Staff was friendly and our order came out pretty fast. My family and I came here to have a family hang out and they really did love the experience like me as well. Their staff are friendly, cooperative, well trained, professional, kind and patient. They would really talk to you properly and help you with your menu and stuff. Aside from the great service and neat ambiance of this place is that their phenomenal and well-seasoned foods. We ordered their pancakes and the kids in our family really loved the taste of it. We also ordered their Corned beef hash, Louisiana skillet, sliders, eggs and bacon, as well as their potatoes and meat. Would really recommend those! I love how they made their skillet and the meat. What can I say besides I just like Potbelly's. A warm toasted sandwich made the way you like it. I'm a fan of the Wreck & the Sicilian. This spot was nice and clean. If you start ordering sides the bill goes up pretty fast.
