Side note: I would have given 5-stars for today's experience except I asked the young girl at the counter to make my drink for here in a cafe mug and it was served in a to-go cup. When I said something, she looked at another employee and rolled her eyes. It was rude and I was standing right there.

This thing was packed with all the good stuff: wiss, fresh-sliced avocado, cucumbers, and I added tomato lettuce and mustard. I regret not adding the hot pepper ranch but it was still damn good. And plentiful! I can never finish a whole order. We're Potbelly fans and will no doubt be back for more.

We did have an issue finding a table this time - it's been so cold and I think everyone and their mother was a stone creek to get out and do something. Luckily we were able to find a bar seat! This last time, we got the 50 piece whole wings ($58.99) and 34 piece legs and thighs ($47.99). Enough to feed 20 people. With this order, we got 7 little packets of coleslaw. Hubby keeps picking up and forgetting to check, but we really needed more coleslaw. They also forgot bread. But a lot of hot sauce. One time, we got the 15 piece whole wings and 8 piece legs and thighs. It was plenty to feed two men and one gal with big appetites. Should be plenty for 4 people with big appetites, with leftovers. I generally get a lot so we can have leftovers. **On many occasions, they forget to pack coleslaw and bread. Check! 7/2024- Fried gizzard on this last pick up order. A+! Notes: - fried whole wings - deliciously golden, not too salty. They are whole wings, in 3 sections, which is nice if you like the wing tip area like I do. - potato wedges - these are more expensive than regular fries, but there's no Merrit in paying the extra. Regular fries are pretty good, and the wedges are subpar. - don't get lost. They are located right on the corner of Teutonia and Good Hope, inside the gas station. I've had plenty of good experiences at this location, so I know they can do better, but today has been an absolute train wreck. I called cousins and they said if it was bought on the Internet by their provider, they are not involved with the transaction. This of course is nonsense as they are an agent acting on behalf of the company. They have shunned their duty to the customer. I am still in pursuit of getting this card replaced, but I'm having a very difficult time reaching the card provider. Further, reaching customer service at Cousins Subs is a chore beyond belief. What bothers me most about all of this is that cousins used to be a fine local company that cared. I never have this problem with Culvers when there is a problem. Cousins has outgrown his ability to properly service the customer. Purchase at your own peril. If anything goes wrong with the transaction, you will get no support from this company

Doner Kebab is very popular in Germany, where I had it last Fall, but it is not traditional German…read morefood, and was in fact, brought to Germany by Turkish immigrants that helped to rebuild Germany after WWII. I can say this place serves delicious doner kebab on fresh housemade bread on par with what I tasted in Germany. Doner Kebab can be ordered as Classic on their housemade bread, as a Wrap, as a Bowl, or as a Donerdilla (quesadilla with Doner using their wrap), and you can choose beef or chicken. They have a couple of side dishes, including fries and loaded fries, plus fountain drinks and bottled drinks. The dining room seats about 20 people. I visited twice, so far. First visit was for dine-in about 2 weeks ago, but there were large orders ahead of me, so my wait time reached a point where I asked them to switch my order to carry-out, and I ate it over 90 minutes later after my appointment. After 90 minutes, the doner kebab was still delicious even without reheating it. Ofcourse the fries became soggy as expected but seasoning was really good. I went back over this past weekend for dine-in. Wait time was only about 15 minutes, and this time the fries were perfectly crisp and still had the great seasoning blend, plus a tasty garlic sauce for dipping. They do not have ketchup for fries, and I like that. They have 3 sauces to choose from: garlic, herb, and spicy. The Classic Doner Kebeb was even better eaten fresh, but flavors were about the same as my carry-out sandwich eaten "cold," which speaks to the consistency. Be patient in your visit because it is a small team of 2 taking and prepping orders, and there may be call-in orders or large orders ahead of you. I will definitely go back to try everything else on the menu!

I always get the Gyro Supreme Sandwich, which comes with feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and sliced peperoncino. The gyro meat is always well seasoned, sliced perfectly and extremely tender. The generous amount of vegetables are served underneath the meat instead of on top, which helps keep them from falling out while you're eating. However, because of the sheer size of the sandwich, you're likely to lose a few. The feta cheese is served in large cubes instead of crumbled, and the tzatziki sauce is thick and rich, coming in a nice sized container.
