I went with some friends on a Friday afternoon and there was ample parking, quick seating and service. We got a bruschetta board, and I loved having the option to choose 4 from a wide assortment, from sweet to savory. The smoked salmon and bacon, tomato, burrata bruschetta were great, and the prosciutto ricotta fig was my favorite by far. All of them were on a delicious piece of toasted bread, and I thought it was a great deal. They are great to share as they are cut into 4 pieces. The interior was dimly lit, but warm, and the bathroom was clean and well-kept. The seating was comfortable and there was a variety of options from bar to booth. Came here for a chill Sunday brunch for the first time. A very chill ambiance, not too crowded, and with attentive service. I have celiac disease (gluten free) and vegetarian, and the kitchen was able to accomodate. Our server was great about checking with the kitchen about being able to toast the gluten free bread separately and the chips not being cross contaminated in their kitchen. I got the caprese sandwich on gluten free bread with a side of potato chips. The bread was nice, the sandwich was well balanced. First time trying this place out..I love wine bars. It was very busy. After my experience this is more like a fast food wine bar other than a personal hands on kind of wine bar. Took the waiter awhile to get to us but like I said it was busy. When he came he rushed us to order. We ordered the hummus board and the chefs charcuterie board both were really good. Needless to say the server said nothing about the nightly special which was a specific board they choose and bottle of wine for 25 dollars hence why they were so busy. I found out about the special by a friend I ran into that told me. But it was too late because we had already ordered two boards. So we ordered a bottle of prossecco regular price which was fine. But the server never came back to the table with it. I looked and saw him polishing wine glasses at the bar as if he had nothing else he needed to be doing. 30 Mins passed no wine. I had to ask the host where our wine was. When it came a total different person brought it. The manager did come to the table and apologize which was nice but the server was disappointing to say the least. He was not once attentive at all. Needless to say the service here is really bad. Postino's is IT!!! I came here with some friends on a lunch date and this is definitely getting added to my Houston go-tos list. It's a really spacious restaurant and they have a super large patio so it's perfect for good weather days. Me and my friends ordered three bottles of wine, including a riesling, a moscato, and a cabernet because during happy hour, select bottles are half off and glasses of wine are six dollars each!!! What a steal!! I heard that they were famous for their bruschetta board which come with four different bruschetta flavors of your choosing -- however I wasn't too hungry so I asked our waiter if we could get it individual one (becuase I didn't see that option available on the menu) and they were amazing at accommodating to my request. It's great for even the pickiest eaters, however if you're looking for things beyond sandwiches or salads this isn't the place for you. Whenever my friends and I want to catch up, relax and eat some good food-Postino is at the top of our list. The atmosphere is chill and feels upbeat, with a good crowd, but not feeling cramped. I absolutely adore this location. I was headed to another business and was almost lured into the bar by the outdoor bar seating. The interior is very calming and beautiful. It was surprisingly quiet for a bar in Montrose with just enough chatter in the background. I loved it. Because I was going to get in the VIP line at South Beach. But I thought maybe I can grab a quick dinner. Then, head there before 10. Since the menu is simple, I thought my order would be quick. Guess what? It was a long wait for Crispy Cauliflower. I already wrote a Yelp review and posted photos at a different restaurant by the time the appetizer came. I was very disappointed with the "crispy" part. The only crispy thing was the rehydrated raisins. The waitress came to take the order shortly before I finished the appetizer. I ordered Italian Beef Panini Dip with salad. The food was fresh. The dip was too salty. The roast beef was bland, maybe because I asked for no cheese. Oh by the way, I don't see any vegan dishes. Everything has cheese. Vegetarian maybe. I had to ask for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerant. Sadly, the kitchen failed to replace the saltiness of cheese with something. Another problem, waitress didn't come by to check on my water level or how I was doing. I saw another waitress stepping on a chair to reach for wine bottle behind me. She did say "excuse me". But don't you have stepladder? That's a safety hazard for your employees. While I was not getting any attention, I wrote my second review and posted some photos and videos at a different restaurant.
