Yesterday I visited this location and brought a USB thumb drive with a few pdfs I needed to print, one of which was a label for pre-paid postage (a return to a mail order company). I've used this location numerous times to drop off UPS packages with pre-paid postage labels, but I'd always printed the labels before myself. The guy who works here is always courteous and helpful and accepts the packages without delay. After I did my printing yesterday, I gave the employee the label (I'd already put the package on the counter when I came in, and told him that the label was one of the pages I was printing) I went to pay for the pages and told him how many sheets I'd printed. He told me that my total was two dollars and change ($2.33, I think)... for four black-and-white 8.5x11" printed pages. I was in shock at the price, and indicated as much. I really just didn't know what to say. I asked for explanation of the costs, and was told that they charge 29 cents per printed page, but *one dollar* to print out labels. All of the files I printed were .pdf files. And it's not like the label was printed on special adhesive label paper. This rule - special charge to print a label * to send a package from their store* was made by the owners, apparently; I wonder if this is an approved (or even legal) action for a franchise. After I continued to be incredulous, the employee relented, and ended up charging me just the regular $0.29 for all four pages printed, but even that price is a ripoff. (Incidentally, the prints weren't even very dark, so the printer is in need of ink or toner.) I like supporting locally-owned businesses, but I can't stand behind a business with such a practice. I definitely understand that one must pay for convenience, and I know that their services are marked up to account for this, but the fact that I wasn't told of this ahead of time, when I clearly stated that I was going to use their self-service printing to print a label for a package being sent from their store, that's just not good customer service. In fact, it's nasty and deceitful. I shall be avoiding this store. read more

They do not take responsibility if the mail was delivered after 3 weeks instead of 3 business days. By the time my documents were mailed it was too late. And I paid extra in order package to get to the destination faster. When I asked for refund, Mr.Bond explained to me that it is against company's policy. Otherwise he is very helpful and pleasant employee. I will never use this postal services again. And I do not recommend it to others. read more

I want to make you aware of a problem I had at this postal annex location. I sent out 16 letters using USPS certified mail with a return receipt from this store. after 8 weeks only 5 of the return receipts were received. Not entirely their fault, BUT I did find that the internal postal annex system they used is not "trackable". in other words their tracking number does not match up with the USPS, so the letters could not be tracked. That meant I had no way to prove to my company that these were even sent. i spent more man hours trying to figure out where my letters were but neither the post office or postal annex could help. After 8 weeks the annex finally reimmbursed me 100% of my cost, so I'll give them that. obviously their system leaves a lot tobe desired. I will ALWAYS go to the post office after this experience. read more

Not sure why rating is so low here. Came in for fingerprints and in the short time I waited (I was over one hour early for scheduled appointment so fact they would process me early was very nice) I over heard James (and I'm pretty sure his last name is Bond, how cool is that?!) state he was hand wrapping china that was over 200 years old and building protection and a box to ship some sort of crazy looking valuable scientific device type thing to be shipped cross country. Then a lady came in requesting overnight shipping. Instead of taking the money and making the sale, James said he'd do the order but warned FedEx already came by for last pickup. He then advised her of another location where pick up was yet to occur. I'm sure he saved her a lot of grief especially this close to Christmas! If you need friendly honest help from people who seem to really care, come to this place and let James Bond help you out. I'll be returning next time I need to send something out for sure! read more

Simply amazing - I purchased a large item (a 12 point Mule Deer Trophy!) at the Austin Auction Gallery and got several bids to ship it to NYC - several of them ranged between $1100 and $1500!!! Postal Annex came back to me with a $167 price - and it showed up 3 days later - with amazing packaging - several layers of bubble wrap and floating in a huge box entirely filled with styrofoam peanuts. Communications were simple and to the point - and they delivered with great service at an amazing price. A+ - wish they were here in NYC where I work & live. read more

This business is getting one star, because there is no zero or negative rating. This shipper may be OK for something cheap and mundane, but avoid like plague, if you have anything of value or a fragile item. The store was a recommended shipper for an auction house ( hopefully not for long). A valuable item was extremely poorly packed. The packer appeared to have less than zero experience. No damage occurred, but it was a miracle. Never again! read more

STAY AWAY! On top of being ridiculously overpriced, Michelle provided the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. On top of having an attitude and not communicating with me while checking out, she snapped at me when I asked one simple question. I have never had to write a review for bad service but this was appalling. Even if she lost the attitude or was fired I would not return. Very pricey, please stick to Fed Ex or UPS. read more

I recently had a horrible experience with Postal Annex on Parmer and McNeil. In fact, it was one of the worst customer service experience I've ever had with a company. I dropped off a box to ship by USPS and it wound up getting lost. No one had an evidence that it was picked up. Postal Annex did not have a record that I dropped it off or that the Post Office picked it up. I'm not sure who's fault it was losing my box, but their customer service was horrible when I tried to find my missing shipment. I was originally working with James, who apparently was off his meds on one of the days I spoke to him. No joke, he started speaking in tongues! I asked the owner, Pooja, several times to see the survelience video to confirm someone didn't walk off with my box and she would never agree to it. And Michelle ended up hanging up on me because I wanted to know who she was speaking to at the post office. They would never give me the name or number of the people at the post office, leading me to believe they weren't even talking to them. Just an all around bizarre and unprofessional experience with every single person at this business. read more
