I recently closed my mailbox at Postal Solutions and the ordeal was the straw in the camels back in dealing with this business. I was told that the post office would NOT forward my mail from the box at PS. There was some crazy work around where I would have to open a separate account to pay for any mail that would have to be forwarded. My other issue with this place is the customer service. Now, they have exceptional customer service, unless you're the person standing in line. I've waited 10-20 minutes in line when I was only the other person standing in line. The owner writes out everything by hand and only allows his staff to do certain things. So usually, you have to stand with 4 other people waiting for Arnie to finally get to you when the other 4 staffers are standing around. I dreaded coming in here to get packages or get any sort of business taken care of and am so glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. I would think twice about opening a mailbox here. read more

Terrible place. Super slow service. They charge $1 to drop off a package that you've already prepaid, UPS or USPS. Any other postal service doesn't charge. The owner's reply to my review is wrong. That was not me that left packages at the door. If I did do that, how would I have known that they charge $1 to drop off? read more

I went into get a document notarized they were very unhelpful . I ended up letting them notarize my document, but I have a feeling it's going to be sent back to me. Due to them not notarizing the photo along with my signature. I would never recommend this place awful service. read more

I haven't been in personally, but when I needed to call a USPS to check on an issue and the #800 automated couldn't track my international tracking "Number" that began with "Letters" and the local post office outlet in Redondo doesn't have a phone number that is listed, after calling the Post Office Main location and getting only a busy signal, I called Postal Solutions. The man answered immediately and was able to ease my mind a bit on my missing package and let me know the next steps to take, after I give it a week to hopefully turn up... read more

I'd like to update my review, as the owner has obviously taken my previous review under consideration and I've seen many positive changes to make a great business even better: 1. Long wait times have been reduced noticeably. The lines now move at a good pace, even when the place is crowded! 2. The $1 handling fee has been eliminated if you are doing other business here, and I think it is also waived if you are a regular customer (I hope the latter is true, too, if not it should be!!) 3. The employees now always ask if I am in the system right off the bat. 4. I never have to write my name and address out on paper anymore (thank you!) If I had to find something to complain about, it would be that I'm not sure the employees always check to see if USPS may be a cheaper option if you don't need a speedy delivery/insurance/willing to take a risk on the package for a lower price. Overall, this is now as close to a perfect packing/shipping center as I've found in the South Bay! Great job, guys! read more

First time here. I think Albert was the young man that helped me. Very nice and helpful, I needed a certain size box that was not in stock but he cut the only size down that they had. Been doing business with Arnie for 20 years. Notary services are excellent but he doesn't control that. His shipping services leave something to be desired! His charges are astronomically priced! Not sure how he gets away with charging almost 3 times the amount of money for shipping the same USPS priority box as the post office! Watch your wallets here people cause he just tried to charge me $37 for putting my box inside a new box from him because my box was "used". And that was on top of the shipping charges!! Excellent customer service is what all businesses strive for. Yet it's something that's not always easy to come by. However, our experience here has been not only excellent, but also truly memorable. My wife, our little son and I went in to get something notarized. The line was short and we were helped immediately by a nice soft spoken elder gentleman. During the process of notarizing the document, he noticed that I was busy trying to entertain our 1.5 year old son and offered him a chance to pick out a postcard of his choosing from a rack. My son was delighted and he was entertained looking at the postcard he's chosen while we signed our documents. After we've notarized the document, he went further and offered our son a small note book and a box of crayons (which he loves and is still holding onto). My wife and I were stunned by such wonderful customer service. It's not about the small free things that we were given, but the fact that he understood exactly what we needed during the time we were there (A distraction for our little son) so that our goal of getting a document notarized will be quick and enjoyable. i used to work for a large shipping center chain back in the day so i know places like this are eally meant for convenience and beating having to go to the post office or individual carrier centers. however, i was flabbergasted when the staff tried to get me to pay over $50 to ship using fedex, and he claimed it had to 100% be overnight express, not overnight standard, or two day, or saver. i used to prefer coming here because of the convenience but, will steer clear. read more

I've been a customer of Postal Solutions for a long time. Everyone is always smiling and helpful. Theay re always finding ways to save money on shipping. They have this system that shows a variety of options for mailing and shipping which allows me to sellect the best method for what I need to do. It really makes life easier when I can go somewhere to mail or ship my package and kow that I was able to sellect the best option available. I shipped some clthing to a realtive in Europe, and they gave me a 40% discount off the FedEx published rate, and the packaging was free. read more

I held a postal box with Postal Solutions for 22 years. To be fair, in that time period, my mail was delivered to my box satisfactorily. Yes, there were occasions when other box holders mail was accidentally placed in my box and the reverse but for the most part that was rare. The owner, Mr. Goldstein has been severely ill on numerous occasions and in his absence, errors have been made. I understand when a person reaches their mid 80's, health issues can become critical. Due to a similar event in my family, I was forced to move to another state to care for an elderly family member. I was assured by Arnie Goldstein and the staff that my mail would be forwarded. It worked quite well until I sent a forwarding payment which was not credited to my account. When I called to question why my mail had not been forwarded, I was informed by Alex they had not received my check for forwarding. He then told me I would have to provide a copy of the cancelled check. I did just that. My mail still wasn't forwarded. At that point, several months had passed and I was forced to drive to Torrance, a 400 mile distance, one way, to collect the mail in my box. Needless to say, there were several pieces of critical mail, including a jury duty notice. I wrote to Mr. Goldstein, enclosed the mailbox key and stated I could no longer trust Postal Solutions with my mail forwarding and was closing my mailbox. Approximately one month later, Mr. Goldstein called me and left a 7 minute message (still on my recorder) stating "they had failed me in every way possible" and "they had policies to prevent that sort of error" especially for long-term box holders. He went on and on and then stated he would return my key deposit and the forwarding money I had sent, plus the entire year's box fee. I did not request return of the annual box fee, only the key deposit and forwarding money. Mr. Goldstein left that message on Nov. 23, 2015. Today is Sept. 25, 2016. I have not seen a key deposit, or the forwarding money. Nor did they ever forward one piece of mail in 2015. Would I recommend them? If you are going to mail a parcel or need notary service, that location is quite sufficient. Due to my experience, I cannot recommend their box service. read more

went in here today to drop off some fedex return's. the guy would not give me a receipt, he said they are not FEDEX, when in the front window they say they are FEDEX authorized shipping center... he told me if i wanted a simple receipt i had to go to an actual fed ex location... Terrible customer service! I opened up a box here and my key never worked. First I had to explain to them that I was not so and so whom had the box before me. Had to show them I paid for the box etc and stand in a long line and then my key doesnt work and had to stand in another long line. Went to go pick up my mail today and they had my box closed and I explained I made a payment and explained how my key never worked. He then tells me I will have to pay 192.00 for the year instead of the 103.00 that I did before. He refused to give me my mail ! He refused to consider the incovenience of the non working key and the non changing of a new customer and cut me some slack for the inconvenience. I normally dont like to complain but he treated me very rudely. Very poor customer service! When reading some of the above articles I thought perhaps they may have been paid to write them as I did not have the same experience. Although someone did have the same experience and I certainly can relate. There is a way to talk to customers. Very bad experience. read more

I always appreciate the great service and caring people. I needed my passport renewed. They checked that I included my check, form and picture. I was nervous but they assured me they send and track them frequently. I sent it by FedEx on Monday and received it back in the mail on Saturday. They anticipate it will be up to two weeks. I went here today to mail a flat rate envelope from USPS because I couldn't get the label to print on my computer and needed to get it out. On the USPS website a flat rate envelope is $4.90 - at Postal Solutions $9.50. I asked why it was almost 2x the amount of USPS and he asked if I was sure I knew that the price was $4.90 online. I know it is a little more if I were to go to the post office but still over $4.00 markup on mailing a package. I will no longer be supporting the local business and go back to the post office as an almost 100% markup is ridiculous on mailing a letter. read more
