No. Do not go. Waited over an hour past appointment to be seated, half hour later in the chair. Two emotes argued that neither of then could take me next. Then learned they didn't have me gel color but would do something similar. After 5 layers of polish finished. Started peeling next day. Top layer of nails damaged and took full growth period to return to normal. ​ read more

I've tried this place a few different times and it gets worse each time. I went in for a gel, french tip pedicure and it turned out terrible. The French is very uneven. The lady doing my nails was awfully rude to me and even told me I wasn't allowed to use the massage chair while she was doing my nails because it moves too much. Not sure why they even offer them then. 0/5 for me. Not worth the money. Mount Airy has way better nail salons to choose from. Sorry folks, no free feet pics ;) read more

I called and made an appointment and no one acknowledge me for 10min finally someone yells across the room "what you want" I tell her my appointment and she said to just sit. So about 35 min later they start doing my nails. Two different girls. On of them was aggressively chipping off acrylic off and CUT THROUGH MY NAIL. and said "you'll be okay"... and "it's not that bad" So so unprofessional. Iv been getting my nails done for 5 years and never experienced what I have here. The owner is rude and short with customers. I went in to get my nails done and the owner insisted I get a fill when I told her I didn't want one. She aggressively ripped off my acrylic nails without soaking them and then sent me to a different nail tech when I told her I didn't want gel. She showed attitude and was in no way respectful to me. Not an easy going environment and would not recommend getting your nails done here. Several other nail places in the area that do a much better job with much better costumer service. read more

Service is hit or miss. Had one of the gentleman who made my cuticles bleed on two fingers as during the sanding after getting dip powder done he sanded over and over in the same place thus sanded off the skin (on two different fingers!) so made them bleed. Also I handed him a gel polish bottle saying I wanted that (medium purple) color but in dip. He came back with a powder which looked pink but I know it darkens and changes a bit as they layer so I didn't press the issue. After all was done it turns out light pink. He said "you like?" To which I replied it was not the color I asked for. He said "well it looks good on you". Not the best experience. read more

This place is wonderful! From the beautiful atheistic to the highly talented nail artist I love this place! Whenever I've called even later in the evening they've happily accommodated my Mother and I. They truly want you to be happy and have gorgeous nails. They are also highly hygienic with disposable pedicure bowl liners, individual nail tools, hand sanitizer and masks worn. My Mother has dementia and can be a bit difficult to communicate with.. they have never once batted an eye and only want her to feel special. I have been to many nail salons in Montgomery and Howard counties and I have finally found one to call my home salon! Special shout out to Mya and Kim but any of the ladies are incredible! This has been my go to salon for years I've never had an issue until my appointment yesterday I had an appointment scheduled for 6 when I came in several other ladies were booked for 6 as well I was not taken care of until 6:40 the lady that did my feet came over and slapped my legs and sat down didn't tell me her name or anything barely spoke to me and rushed my jelly spa (I get jelly spas everytime I come in and never have I had one so rushed in my life) barely messaged my feet and legs I'm 7 months pregnant and hadn't had my feet done in a long time so I was excited to have my feet messaged but she rushed when it came time to shave my dead skin off my heels she rushed and I still have dead skin on the bottom of my foot never had that happen. she hurt my toe while cutting my toe nails luckily I didn't bleed she chipped my toe nail while cutting them down as well (see uneven big toe nail in first photo) , she then asked if I'd like my nails done and I declined at first because I was already annoyed with the time and fact that she was rushing but then said actually yes I'll do an ombré acrylic she then said she'd have to ask her boss and then said they didn't have time and I could come back tomorrow at this point I was like I won't be doing that she finished up and moved onto another person without a word I put my shoes on and was ready to walk out she told me no take my shoes off and relax give her 15 mins and they'd take care of me that they'd do my nails and she'd pay part of my nails because of my patience however she didn't give me Discount at all $73 I paid for my feet and $70 for my nails no discount. At this point I'm thinking I don't think I'll be returning ever again because this is ridiculous it was 7:30 at this point. Another lady Kathy did my ombré acrylic she was very kind and warm completely different from the lady prior she chatted with me a bit asked about my pregnancy and did an amazing job based off the picture I showed her she's literally the only reason I will be coming back they should really stop over booking or Atleast offer drinks again to ppl who have to wait so long and definitely not rush spas I wasn't out of there until 8:45 almost 9. I'd give the lady that did my toes 2 stars and Kathy 6 stars hopefully next time I go in I'll be able to give a better review. read more

This was first visit to Posh. I Made an appointment earlier that morning and walked into salon-at my scheduled time. I was immediately disappointed that nobody greeted me. Not one person looked up to greet me nor acknowledge that I walked in. After I started to look around and choose a color a lady finally asked what I was there for. I told her I had an appt and she told me that she wrote down a certain time which was NOT the time I told her when I called. Rude - particularly Kim, co-owner. Answers phone making appointments while she's working on clients. Rough waxing technique - burned my upper lip with extra- hot wax then ripped the tape off unnecessarily hard. Rash broke out. Took too much off my eyebrows. Cut my toenails straight across on my pedicure. Did my manicure from the pedicure chair so I did not get a chance to wash my hands. Kim rubbed lotion on my hands and arms, then bizarrely wiped it off with a paper towel immediately after saying it was "greasy." I was not greeted at all when I walked in the door, nor was there a word of conversation after. SO MANY DAMN INTERRUPTIONS - answering calls and getting up and walking away at random. Prices vary - the shop has no verifiable price menu. They make up the charges on the spot. read more

RIP OFF!! NAILS DONT LAST!! I've been going to Posh for over a year now-it's always hit or miss. I got a new dip set done before the holidays and the very next day- a nail fell off. The day after, another fell off and a third chipped. I made an appointment to get those 3 nails fixed, 3 days after getting them done. They gave me the same lady as before and she fixed the 2 that fell off, not the one chipped. The next day, the chipped one fell off and my thumb nail started separating from the dip, so I made another appointment to get a new full set with a different lady. Got the same lady again, she fixed the one that fell, and glued the one separating. TODAY is one full week and the thumb nail has now chipped. That's 4 nails, 3 trips to get them fixed THE WEEK BEFORE XMAS. There's no shot they will last me until the new year, which is a HUGE RIP OFF. If anyone knows of a good nail salon in near mount airy, please advise. read more

The first time I came here was to get my nails done for graduation and I came as a walk-in. My nails looked incredible. When I tried coming back for my best friends birthday, I scheduled an appointment for two pedicures at 6pm about two weeks in advance. The woman on the phone asked if I wanted to come in earlier. Since I was coordinating with my friend I advised I could only do 6:00. She told me if we come earlier that would be better but it was fine. I told her we would try but confirmed 6 was okay. I put it in my calendar. Day of the appointment we show up at 6. When we come in a woman asked us what we needed, I advised we had an appointment. She then proceeds to tell us there are no appointments made under my name and tells us they are too busy. I was so disappointed. I was so frustrated because I wanted to treat my friend and had planned in advance. Luckily, Luxury Nails across the street accepted us as walk-ins at that time. They were very friendly and welcoming, completely different to the woman at Posh. I also ran into someone who had the same issue with Posh. First time at Posh and will be my last. Had an appointment at 1 pm for 3 pedi's. After waiting a bit they tell me they only have 2 chairs available. What was the point of making the appointment? It was my daughters first time getting their feet done. The one tech was very brash and not kind at all with my one daughter, border line yelling. She asks my what was the occasion for having their nails done. I said just because and right in front of my daughters she tells me not to waste my money bringing them in to do that, and I should paint their nails at home. Extremely rude. My other daughter was seated and had to wait 15 mins before anyone would see her. The woman who did her feet was nice, but another customer came yelling at her to finish her nails and off she went. My daughters feet were not even done. She still has dead skin on the bottom of her feet, which was the entire point of taking her there. I ended up not getting my pedicure because I was so outraged I just wanted to leave. Never in my life have I experienced such rude service. Will never be back. read more
