I treated myself to a Japanese head massage at Luxury Nails, and it was absolutely heavenly from start to finish. The room had a soft lemon scent that immediately made me feel refreshed and calm. Kimmy began with gentle scalp work that slowly melted all my tension away, followed by soothing steam that opened my pores and relaxed my entire face. The highlight was the "water ring" used to wash my hair -- it felt so unique and luxurious, like a mini spa waterfall just for my head. The session finished with hot stones placed along my shoulders and neck, which released every bit of stiffness I usually go to the Chiropractor to get that kind of relief. I left feeling light, serene, and deeply refreshed -- my hair soft, my scalp tingling, and my mind clear. If you're looking for a treatment that's both relaxing and rejuvenating, I can't recommend this Japanese head massage enough with Kimmy at Luxury Nails. The only negative thing I can say is that the one hour session felt like it was over in 15 minutes. I could not believe how quickly one hour went. I left there relaxed, not sleepy, but completely relaxed. It's a full sensory experience that you'll want to repeat again and again. This one hours session was $100.00 and worth every penny.

Eyebrow wax, pedicure, manicure, dip, tanning. I have been coming to this salon a few years now. My first visit was on Mother's Day. My nails needed to be redone from a bad job in another salon. They were thick, and the shape was awful. I saw Kim. She was so sweet, and she fixed my nails beautifully. They were thin, beautifully shaped and she came up with a bright and fun design perfect for summer. When I was leaving They gave me a bottle of wine and a flower for Mother's Day. That was classy! Since then I have gotten to know Kim and her family. They are very professional, kind and attentive to every detail. Their salon is always clean and most of the time very busy. Sometimes I have to wait, but it is well worth the wait. So I don't mind. The fact that they pay attention to every detail for every patron, I understand that this can happen. I have recommended Kim to a few of my friends now, and they love her! This is a great salon run by a wonderful family. read more

My daughters and I have been going to LT Nails & Tanning for the last 2+ years and we love everything about our experiences with the owners and technicians. The atmosphere is always fun and welcoming, it's easy to make appointments , & they are very efficient. Tiffany is not only excited about whatever I come up with for my nails, she always supersedes my expectations, she is so gifted! I typically get manicures and pedicures, and my hands and feet have never been better. The salon we came from would promise my daughters that they could complete the art that they wanted to have done, start the work and then change their tune halfway through, leaving one of my daughters in tears for her 16th birthday. LT Nails and Tanning is a gem of a business and I am so thankful we found them. We literally will not go anywhere else. 5 stars isn't enough to express how much we appreciate this family owned business. read more

They used to be fully staffed and busy and quality of manicures and pedicures was really good. Now they only have 3-4 staff members. Today I came in for a pedicure and hadn't been here in a very long time (about a year). The tech that I got was a young American lady whom a I've never seen here. First, I had an appointment and had to wait over 20 minutes while my feet sat in cold water (and I'd already asked to have the water warmer and it was barely accomplished). I don't mind too much of a wait, but communicate with me and keep me comfortable while I wait! Then she starts on my toenails with a nail buffer after I relayed that I didn't need any nail trimming. The very first big toe she buffed she nicked at the bottom and it started to bleed! I should have stopped her right there and left, I've never had that happen before! Then she proceeds to berate me about the skin on my toes asking what I've cut them with and stating that "it looks like someone gnawed on them." I was shocked and really offended. Then when I told her I didn't need my toenails trimmed because I had already done this myself she said "oh, you already gave yourself a pedicure before you came?" While she did a decent job with the painting, she also buffed places on my feet that were very uncomfortable...such as on the tops of my feet! I do not have calluses up there! I also just had foot surgery...a bunion removed from from my right foot and I communicated this with her. She kept bending my toe down in an uncomfortable position while painting it. I've never had a nail tech talk to me like the way this lady did and I will not be returning here due such an overall bad experience. I will find a new nail salon that respects me and makes me feel comfortable. There are plenty of places here in Frederick!

I have been going on and off for a while. The thing I love about it is that she makes you feel comfortable. Instead of "I'm going to get my nails done," it's like, "I'm going to hang out with Kat." She's just very welcoming, accommodating, flexible and she'll work with you. I was getting some photos done and she suggested lashes. I've done that before and it was good, but I just couldn't keep up with it. She said it'll be great and I'll work with you. It's probably the best thing I've done for myself in a long time. Every day I wake up, I don't have to look in the mirror and see how my wrinkles look, I just see my beautiful lashes. And you don't have to do much with them. Literally I've touched them a few times with the little brush that she gave me. But other than that you don't have to do any anything--lashes popping! One thing done! I don't even realize I have them on-no itching, got brown and they look natural. As a cancer warrior, I lost my lashes. Now I have beautiful, colorful excellent looking lashes. So if you're looking for a more chill experience--it's an easy casual relaxing appointment and hang out session with Kat. People--check it out.
