Completely upset. I ordered a pizza through DoorDash and after 1 1/2 hrs it hadn't been delivered yet so I called Portland Pie and they said the pizza has been made. Clearly not their fault DoorDash hadn't picked it up. But when I asked if they had any suggestions on how to get the pizza, the woman on the phone in a laughing voice said "I don't know!" Not caring at all. Then finally when the pizza did arrive, it was made wrong. I ordered pineapple, bacon, and ham. I got pineapple, mushroom, and ground beef. I'm stunned to see all the bad reviews recently. My son and I visited over February vacation. Fun fact- kids eat free (cheese or pepperoni pizza) on Mondays and Tuesday. I've been to PPC a bunch of times, at different locations, and I'm always torn between my favorites and the seasonal a they switch up every few months. I went with my old faithful Great Diamond pizza with a garlic crust and it was as good as it ever is. I crave this pie and their Buffalo pie (Nor'Easter) on the regular. Our waitress was on top of her game. $15.99 for a small pizza is a bit pricey but considering we both ate for that price plus a couple of sodas, that's less then what you'd pay for two fast food meals and it was a heck of a lot better, plus we had leftovers. read more

In the mood for a delicious slice of pizza, this was the perfect place to come. On a chilly Monday afternoon, I found seating for one and took a gander at the menu. My eyes and stomach settled on a 10" pie which included pepperoni, pineapple (of course), and jalapeño. Along with a delicious pie, I also ordered a set of hot wings. The pie was served on a pizza stone and was magical to the eyes. The wings had great flavor and were complimented well with the bleu cheese dressing. Overall my meal was delicious. Extremely disappointed. Ordered a Caesar salad which was fine. Large pizza with pepperoni and half mushroom, onion and extra cheese. The extra cheese half you could still see the bread pizza as mediocre at best. It took heating in the microwave and added cheese to make it even appetizing. I ordered chicken quesadia, my husband ordered a avocado BLT, my daughter salad & a steak bomb and lastly, my granddaughter ordered a plain cheeseburger w/ketchup only. Our server was young. She was polite, friendly and professional. We waited 45 minutes for three orders and another 10+ minutes for the cheeseburger. Needless to say, we were not happy! We asked our server to see a mgr. She came to our table and yelled that we were rude to the server & stomped off. We were leaving when she came out to give my granddaughter her burger. We wanted to pay our bill. The manager said NO. She was extremely unprofessional and rude to us all. We will never visit Windham Portland Pie again. We left our server a tip and the food was good. Nice looking restaurant and friendly service, however there were about six waitresses standing around chatting a few tables away from where we were eating which wouldn't be a big deal but they were literally doing it the entire time. It wasn't the chatting that bothered me it was the labor cost and waste of resources. As a business owner I see that's a reflection on management. I know that businesses are really struggling to find employees and I suspect most of them were probably in training for a summer job. So that wasn't such a big deal but my lack of additional stars is a reflection of the food. The pizza was greasy. My husband didn't care for it but I personally like a greasy pizza so I was ok with it. What was really lacking was the Italian wedding soup. It consisted of some small sad meatballs and some greens and onions and that's it. No orzo or anything else in the soup. I can't remember the last time I returned some thing at a restaurant. I'm pretty easy-going but this was just so bad. The waitress was kind and took it back and removed it from our bill. I would try this place again and hope to add more stars to my review. Possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. We ordered a 1/2 and 1/2 pizza for delivery - when we opened the box, both halves of the toppings were piled up in one mushy pile of goo in the corner of the box. The driver must have made a sudden stop, and all of the sauce, cheese and veggies slid right off of the crust. After we pushed the pile of goo back into the crust, this is what it looked like. Very runny, undercooked. Best eaten with eyes closed. Try letting it cook a little longer next time, and ask the driver to drive so that the toppings don't slide off the pizza. read more

Only get pizza.... My family has been pleased with the pizza we have received, yummy as always. However anything else in our experience has been not great. We ordered the roasted Brussel sprouts and they came steamed or boiled just like at grandmas... sooo gross and why Brussels got a bad name in the first place.. I contacted them regarding this via Facebook messenger with a picture and got no response though I know they read it. We then the next time ordered the stuffed mushrooms. When I picked up the box it was so light I thought it was empty. The portion size was minuscule. Good taste, a horrible value. read more

I've had pizza all over the Lakes Region, so when this place popped up, we had to give it a try. Honestly? Think Dominos, but with a place to sit down and no crazy bread. Seriously, the dough was way too chewy and flavorless. No char on the crust from a super hot oven. Blah! The only bright star was the sauce.,which was topped with way too much mozzarella (couldn't make out anything else out of the 'three cheese blend' this place touts). Best pizza in the region? After ordering 2 lg pizzas for takeout , we got home, and one pizza was not only wrong (just cheese) but burned around the edges. We called and was told that they would remake the originally ordered pizza, and we asked for it to be delivered. We waited 1 hour and called back, we were told it was "on the way." After another hour, we called back again to find out where the pizza was and were told by the manager that "it was delivered." Obviously, if we are calling to check where it is, it has not been delivered. Such poor service and incompetence. Other Portland Pie locations we have visited have been great. This place is...OK! I can't compare it to other PP locations, but my experience so far has been as follows. The Good: * Pizza! Pretty good pizza. The base isn't anything to necessarily write home about, but they really bring it with the toppings. * Sandwiches! The Acadia is my JAM. They have really good brioche rolls, which makes the sandwich. * Delivery: This place actually delivers its own orders, which is a novelty these days, and has always been on time with a correct order. The Bad: * No contact-free delivery :( I left instructions last time hoping they would just drop it off because wrangling my dogs during a doorbell is a nightmare, but alas, they need you to sign the slip for some reason. * Chicken tenders and fries: This is usually my go-to and it was super disappointing here. The fries weren't cooked all that well, you could still taste the freezer on them (mmm.) As for the chicken tenders...I'm not really sure what those were. Dark meat, yet drier and tougher than shoe leather. I'm not sure why the restaurant offers this dish, given its poor quality. read more

As a connecticut native, PPC in windham has the best pizza in the area. The price is reasonable and the toppings are not skimpy despite what others say. Mike is a great bar tender who pours heavy drinks and his customer service is like no other. The bar is a great place to hang out if you enjoy watching sports, bruins spirit is strong! read more

So we went here to bring takeout to our family who was back at camp...we were pleasantly surprised with this place...reviews were not great...but we tried it anyways...and we are glad we did...the bartender was very personable and gave some recommendations...she was spot with her recommendations...we had 2 pizzas, one that was your basic cheese and pepperoni...cooked perfectly...great sauce...the second was pawtuckaway...absolutely fantastic...bartender recommended...could not be happier with the selection and quality of the pie...finally we had the Buffalo dip as an appetizer...again very good...served differently from how we have it update NY...they had soft pretzel nuggets, celery and carrots...great choices that complemented the dip...strongly recommend going out support this pizza place...I am glad I did...will be a repeat customer in the years to come.... read more

Having ordered from this location from opening day to yesterday I am finally giving up. Constant missing items or mistakes with orders as well as how pizza is cooked. Love the Scarborough store as well as the Portland location (went there 1st month company opened) Was very excited about Windham location but while most staff are great many others were lacking. Small things like constantly not putting ordered desserts on carryout/delivery orders even though order was read back to me. Crust burnt numerous occasions but not on all pizzas. Ordered early in day for a dinner party and order arrived over an hour early (there reply was "oops") Only mentioning some of the stuff as you get the gist If I go back it will be to Scarbrough but why drive twice the distance and pay tolls when other better places are nearby read more

Portland Pie has no customer service. If you call for take out you get a recording telling you to hold as someone will be right with you. After waiting on line another recording comes on saying they cannot take your order due to high volume . yesterday after waiting for over a half hour to place a take out order, I ordered someplace else. I drove by Portland Pie on my way home. Did not appear very busy, lots of parking spaces. I could see employees milling around inside. The pizza is way overpriced and just average. We ordered two pizzas to go. Both were undercooked and haphazardly made. Not great. It was our first visit, and likely our last.

My wife ordered a pizza last night for take out. They said it would be 15 min it took 45 min. When we opened it up to eat all the toppings were in the middle 40% of the pizza was just crust. My wife paid $24 for it and I think it was worth maybe $10. This was our first and last pie from portland pie . Terrible! read more

I thought the brunswick one was bad but we were having a lake day in windham and thought we would try a different location cause my daughter needs to eat gluten free food. My husband ordered and he was very clear about the gluten-free after the ordeel we had in Brunswick. They said 45 minutes so we waited an extra 10 since it took so long at the other location. SURPRISE it was still not ready and then SURPRISE it wasn't gluten free again and we had to wait 15 minutes for a new pizza that was literally only vegan cheese and some toppings. The host girl said they remade the first one with regular cheese by accident and had to do it again and that is why it took so long. How can you mess up making a pizza so many times when you are a pizza place? It is dangerous to say you sell gluten free food and then almost poison people so many times. Maybe they should just focus on regular pizza until they can handle adding gluten free stuff in. I will NEVER eat at a portland pie again and I will tell everyone to stay far away! read more

Can't believe anyone would give this pizza a bad rating. It's good. Really good. We were visiting from Southern Connecticut and saw it had outdoor seating, so we decided to give it a try. Being from the pizza capital of the world (New Haven), I had very low expectations. I know good pizza when it hits my lips. Sally's, Modern, Pepe's, Bar, Zuppardi's and Roseland. All classics. How could a cookie cutter place in Sebago, Maine, ever come close? But guess what, it did. Surpassed my expectations, and more. The pizzas were original and flavorful. The crust was crisp and tasty and the sauce had its own unique flavor. Mike from the bar wasn't just a server. He treated us like guests in his own house with great service and friendliness. I suggest the 14-inch thin crust. We got one with just cheese and pepperoni and it was spectacular. We also got a couple of the specialty pies, which were also very good. I ordered two pizzas for take out. We always love their pizza and it's a no-brainer. They were very friendly upon arrival and Mike at the bar showed excellent customer service. I arrived a few minutes early and he offered for me a seat at the bar and a glass of water while I waited. The pizzas stayed hot for the 30-minute car ride home. When I arrived home unfortunately one of the pizzas looked less than desirable. I called to mention this and they handled it excellently and without hesitation. so I don't normally do this, but as someone who worked in the industry I figured I should share my experience tonight at Portland Pie Windham ‍ tonight my family (minus Waice) and I got 4 pizzas from Portland Pie. the pizzas were good, however the service was not. normally, I'd let it go considering everyone has their bad days. the restaurant was full and the servers were busy - but hours later I'm still really upset about our experience. my sister ordered the pizzas over the phone and was spoken to rudely. we could have let that go.... but going in was awful. my other sister and I went in to grab the pizzas. granted we made the mistake of not asking whos name Janine put the pizza under - there was a few it could be under. we told the hostesses a few names and they told us to go to the bar we could pay over there. this is all fine. we got to the bar and a man asked me what my name was. it was loud in the restaurant and I have a hard time hearing with other noises happening around me - I only heard "name". I responded with "I'm not sure"... I was going to continue with the names that it could be under, however I was cut off by this man rudely stating "what, you don't know your name??" I was taken aback and before I could respond, he said "do you need to call your parents???" STILL taken aback... I said, "no, it might be under Smith but we're not sure" he said he would see if he could find the order. he came back out with an order, and it wasn't the 4 pizzas we ordered - in the time that he was out back finding that order we had sorted out that it was under my dad's name instead of his girlfriends. When he was told that wasn't the right order, he said "I thought it was under smith but it was another Paul huh" then said he would go out back and "try to find our order". finally he came out with the correct order and said "oh so you're all paid up? have a great night" I think it's truly unprofessional and blatantly rude. This restaurant was full and I was being spoken down to in front of many people at the bar. He wasn't joking, there was no laughing, and it was not okay.
