When you're the only game in town you can get away with being mediocre and Corsetti's does. Their pizza is lackluster as is everything else on their menu. Corsetti's is one of those corner stores in Maine that could offer exceptional food but there's little reason for them to do so because they have a captive repeat customer base. read more

Corsetti's in Windham is very close to where I live and convenient, so I want to give them a fair shot. The cheese steak pizza is actually pretty good. However, the cooks seem to be very forgetful when making food. They did not include three salads we ordered and forgot to put bread on the top halves of our subs. How do you forget to put bread on a sub? A few days later I ordered a hamburger sub, and once again, the top of the sub was not there. The cooks and staff appear to be extremely young, so whatever - But where is the management to check their work? It's obviously having quality control problems. Check the food before you get into your car - I am not the only person who has had this "forgetful" experience. read more

I haven't eaten here in years and thought I would get an Italian Sandwich to compare to Amato's. I ordered a large with almost everything on it. I was very disappointed in the sandwich. It was really small (maybe it wasn't a larger after all) and pretty skimpy on the veggies. I think I will be going back to Amato's. They are about the same cost but Amato's is larger with more veggies. read more

I desperately need to update my review for this local spot. A few things happened, one I went there for breakfast. They have super fresh egg and cheese sandwiches in the warmer, grab n go style, for 3.50. They also have... Wait for it... Coffee ice cubes for your iced coffee!!! I LOVE coffee ice cubes and few places have them. I have also tried a few other things off their menu: jalapeño poppers, meatball sub, chicken salad wrap, and chicken strip sandwich. All of this was good but, my two favorites are still the chicken Cesar wrap (don't forget to ask for those croutons, folks) and their pizza. They also have tasty fries. Not only that, but the last few people that have answered the phone and assisted me at the counter have been very pleasant. In the variety store world, this place is 5 stars! read more

The pizza was okay but nothing like the other Corsetti's in Westbrook. The bbq pizza had way to many onions on it, and the buffalo pizza just seemed blah. The saving grace was the pumpkin whoppie pie I picked up, it had cream cheese filling and what isn't to love about pumpkin and cream cheese. However, even though the dessert was delicious there wasn't much to choose from. I think they had a few slices of cake, a couple cookies and 2 whoopie pies. The sign did state the desserts are made in house which is nice. All in all not a terrible experience, but I won't be running back. read more

Have you ever seen the scene from Lethal Weapon 2 when Leo Getz painfully explained "they f___ you at the drive-thru?" It's kind of like that here at our Corsetti's. Frankly, I've always dealt with it because whatever food happened to work its way into my take out bag was half way decent. The pizza IS really good (the saving grace from a one star). But lately the staff has taken a "we don't give a rat's..." attitude. Maybe that's why they had a "wanted: GREAT help" sign outside. I'm assuming they took whatever they got. The sign came down. Look, no one is expecting world class, 5 star dining at a corner pizza place. Do you know what would be, like, super "great?" Pepperoni on a pepperoni pizza. I mean, the hamburger / onion we got rocked, don't get me wrong. Another example? If a customer is ordering a salad...maybe make sure it has something green inside it. Don't give them chicken fingers and extra fries. I'm not sure how "buffalo chicken SALAD, with egg and no tomato" and "chicken fingers" are easily confused, but, hey. Folks? A "Rachel" is only a Rachel if it has specific things on it. Other wise it's just a ham and cheese sandwich. Which, is really a fine sandwich. But not when you've ordered a Rachel. Or, the kicker, tonight...ordering a burger. I mean, you can't screw up a burger. Right?! It's two buns and a piece of meat. Maybe make it super fancy and toss on a slice of cheese! Thousands of artists at McDonald's make millions of these every day. Just a good 'old fashioned burger. I get my burger home. And it looks like a master piece. The fries look great. And so does the burger top and piece of lettuce. Because...apparently it's too complicated to remember the other two portions of a four part item. After ordering at 6:00pm, being told it would be ready at 6:30, arriving at 6:40, waiting another :10 because it still wasn't ready...I was sent home with half of a burger...and not even the good half. It would have been one thing if i could have pretended to be carb free for the night, wrapped the burger in the lettuce and just ate that. But...something tells me wrapping the top portion of the bun in the lettuce just would not be the same. And when I went back in (this one I couldn't let stand, so off I went...) to ask why I had half a burger? I was greeted with chuckles from two of the people behind the counter and a "it's right there," (one of the "great help" pointing to what I'm assuming may have been another half burger under their warming lights). No thanks. When I need a quick "something" from now on I'll head up the street to the Big Apple; they have gas too. And coffee. After tonight - and after ten + years (it takes a while for me to abandon ship); I'm done. I'm all done spinning the "food roulette wheel." Best pizza around. Very consistent quality. Friendly staff. Keep going back, nuff said. Update: There slices ready to go are the best around, although lacking in variety. However when ordering takeout pizza, lately I find that the toppings are really scant, even when I ask for extra for which Ill pay. Also pizza is dry. Not sure were the translation gets lost between slices and whole but Its a pretty easy fix so Id thought Id throw it in here, perhaps they'll notice. read more

Must have changed vendors for their chicken salad. Use to be very good clean white meat. Got a sandwich today, it was almost all dark meat, and was FULL of bones. took three bites of the sandwich, all had bones in them. Sandwich went in the trash. read more
