UPDATE AND REPOST Since my original reviews got deleted somehow?
UPDATE:
Wow! I can't believe this place! After posting my first review, the manager responded ASAP. He was very nice and expressed how sorry they were, how they wanted me to come back and give them another try! Offered us a $60 gift card, we accepted. Also said to make sure to tell them to have a manager oversee our pizza to make sure it's 100%.
We ordered pizza a few days later...
Seeing how we were traumatized from our experiences before, we made sure to order a totally different pizza with even LESS toppings. This time, instead of the Old Orchard AKA "the pizza they can not cook right and will be soggy no matter what because of the amount of toppings", we built our own pizza. Vegan cheese, sauteed onion, garlic and green pepper. I explained to the kid on the phone that we had multiple horrible experiences in the past, the manager gave us a gift card for that reason, the manager also said to have a manager on duty oversee our order making sure it was cooked right, and I said PLEASE make sure it was cooked and not under-cooked/RAW. I literally begged for them to not give me a soggy pizza...BEGGED!
We show up, get our pizza, get out to the car and I open the box to find ANOTHER UNDER-COOKED, RAW, DISGUSTING, SOGGY PIZZA! At this point, I am PISSED! It's like they are doing it on purpose!! We went back in and asked to speak to a manager. There was a gentleman in front of us, who was also waiting to speak to someone. During the 10 minutes we all waited to speak to a manager, we proceeded to exchange stories on what our complaints were about. He was at a table of 4 and ordered soup for his meal. Everyone in his party received their food, except for him. Then the waiter tells him after everyone has already received their food, that they are out of the soup he ordered. He ordered another soup and after 30 minutes, STILL NO SOUP!
After hearing his story, I showed the guy our pizza and he laughed..
You literally could roll it back into a ball of dough, that's how raw it was!
The manager finally showed up and after he helped the man in front of us, he asked us what the issue was with our order and he got an earful!! I gave him back the pizza AND the gift card with the remaining balance of $35 and demanded my money back for ALL 3 pizzas. They refunded my card and I will NEVER, EVER eat there again!!
My First Review on 9/1/2015
It's sad that I have to write this. I have eaten at this location 4 times and tonight was the last! As a vegan household, we were excited to hear a Portland Pie Co. was coming to Biddeford and offered vegan cheese for their pizzas. The first time we ordered pizza there it was to go. We got the 'Old Orchard'. It was a little pricey with one extra topping and vegan cheese ($26). It was DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked! So delicious, I couldn't wait to eat there again.
The second time we ordered pizza to go, the wait was 15 minutes later than they told us. We got the pizza home and it was so under-cooked, we couldn't even eat it. I had to put it back in the oven for 10 more minutes for it to be edible, and even then it wasn't the same. I know everyone has their off days, so I just would make sure to order it "well done" next time we ordered.
The 3rd time, same pizza, same toppings, asked the kid on the phone to please make sure they cook it a little longer because of the extra toppings. He proceeded to tell me "No matter how long we cook it, it will still be soggy because of all the toppings". Why would you offer a specialty pizza with loaded veggie toppings if you can't even cook it right? I then told him I had the same pizza, same toppings - both times and to please just cook my pizza a little longer. He then said "Okay, we will TRY". We got it home and it was the same thing. Totally under-cooked. Tasted like dough. Threw it in the trash.
Wanted to give this place one last shot and I'm kicking my self in the ass that I did. Was told 30 minutes, we arrived exactly at 30 minutes, we waited for 20 more. No apologies, nothing. They were not even busy!! Got home, it was the most under-cooked pizza I have ever had in my life!!! The dough was still raw! I'm done!
Do yourself a favor, save your money! Either that or only get a pizza with one topping to be safe, since they obviously can't handle cooking a pizza properly with multiple toppings. read more
