I would give them zero stars if it were possible. I rent at a six unit condo complex in Everett, WA . We are across from the girl scouts building and share an alley with the funeral home. The building is run by an HOA as each unit is owned separately. Only one owner lives on site. Since they mostly absentee landlords, this property management company is apparently good enough.
In the time I have lived here, which is 4+ years, the property management has tried to maintain the grounds exactly once. They have let the one plot of grass on the building die and have done nothing about it for over a year, it is a brown patch of dead grass filled with cigarette butts.
There used to be a lock on the dumpster which would periodically get cut and replaced. The property management company gave up on that well over a year ago and now people rummage through our garbage regularly. When they would replace the lock, they did so and would tape keys to the tenants doors without letting them know what they were for. With the dumpster out of commission garbage blows around and fills the dead grass landscaping in front of the building. Wrappers, empty cups, socks, are not uncommon in the landscaping. At one point, Port Gardener Mgmt. hired a landscaping company, but they never came. When they produced too much yard waste for the yard waste bin they shoved it into the recycling bin and left it for several weeks like that.
The walk in front of the building has buckled up and been filled with asphalt on a number of occasions, because the HOA and Management refuse to replace it and there is a years long waiting list for the city to do anything about it.
There is a common laundry room where several of the tenants share a washer and dryer. The handle on the dryer was lost long ago and has been replaced with a lime green piece of vinyl molded to look like dryer handle and bolted into the holes where the proper handle once was. When the dryer stopped working and would take several hours to dry they allowed the tenants to go over a week without access to community washer and dryer during COVID because they were debating whether or not they had to replace it. They also replaced the lock on the communal laundry room without giving notice, providing new keys, or letting tenants know when new keys would be delivered. THIS IS THE ONLY LAUNDRY ROOM WE HAVE ACCESS TO - IT IS UNSANITY AND DISGUSTING THAT THEY DID THIS IN A PANDEMIC.
In addition, there is a shared tools closet where gardening supplies have been placed into a a large haphazard pile - an indication of the neglect and total disregard for landscaping.
There is a storage unit hallway filled the the debris of various tenants in no way organized or controlled. A cardboard box lid fills the subterranean window, and spiders nests filled the dusty corner by the dozens.
This property management company really is proof that you can do nothing and get paid for it. This place goes well beyond negligence - these people should not have jobs. read more
