Our fav salad. Just simple oil. Vinegar. And salt.

My husband and I found this gem randomly, and we have been returning. The food is genuine, and the seafood is FRESH. It's not upscale and fancy but the place has a homely vibe. I much prefer the simple salad this place offers than any places in the city.

Finally able to check this place out, as we've driven by it hundreds of times. It did not disappoint! When you first walk in. It looks like a bar with some TVs and about 3 tables to sit. The tables were all taken, so j was ready to sit on the bar, but we opted for the back dining area. It's a smallish room that had about 6 more tables. We started with some bread for the table while we were perusing the menu. They also have a pretty good list of Fay specials, which is also posted to the facebook page each day, so I checked there as well. We ordered lots of different fish specials. Everything was good well, flavorful, but not too salty. And portions are healthy. The clams were huge!! And the first seafood dish had soooo many pieces of seafood. I also loved that I could swap my side of rice for a nice vegetable mix of carrots and broccoli rabe that would well cooked! I also ordered cappuccino and espresso which were very good. We will probably try this for takeout soon too.

If you are looking for a local place that has great food and service this is the place. Don't judge a book by its cover when you walk in it's a step back in time has a feel like you're in an old bar in Queens somewhere which I love. Just close your eyes and dig in to the great food.

We go out alot and no matter how many other places we try we always come back and are never disappointed, shrimp and garlic sauce app is a must and pick any of the specials you will be pleased. everything is cooked to order so be patient, its worth it. also there is seating in the back if you dont want to sit by the bar. any of my friends i bring there ultmitly head back on there own,

We've driven by this seedy looking restaurant for years and thought about trying it but never have. Tonight we finally did and we are really glad we did. This is not a fancy place. Outside looks run down. The front bar is not the nicest, but in back is a nice little dining room. Again, not the fanciest, but clean and homey. We sat in back and the waitress was delightful explaining the menu and the specials. We decided against appetizers and had a small pitcher of red sangria. It was a lot lighter than most sangrias. I'm not saying that as a negative. It was extremely refreshing and did not send me to the floor. It was a great sangria to enjoy with dinner. Dinner was a seafood paella and the ox tail stewed special. Both were very good. The seafood in the paella was excellently cooked and the dish had that great taste that a good paella should. The ox tail stew was also very good. A small "complaint" is that it probably could have stewed longer so the gelatin could have broken down more. Otherwise it was very good. The meat was tender and tasty. I don't understand why there aren't more reviews for here and I definitely don't understand why we were the only people in the dining room. I'm looking forward to coming back!

This place is the bomb...or better stated it was hit by a bomb! Upon entering on a 3 degree Saturday night, our first reaction was to turn around and leave...couldn't be the same place the Yelp reviews referred to....well we stayed ...found a table and looked around at the lack of ambiance and the bar crowd whooping it up over the games on tv. This is a local Portugese Bar that serves food as an after thought. Had to keep coats on due to heat not being on..was ice cold in there! Ordered two Stella Beers on tap. Tasted them and they were skunky spoiled taste. Sent them back and got Bud Lite...better but not much.. For appys we ordered Sautéed Shrimp in garlic butter sauce..was good with lots of sauce to dip bread. Also got Caesars salad..crunchy lettuce drenched in sauce...could have been prepared better! For mains we went with Prime Rib for Bonnie and the special Mixed Seafood in garlic sauce over pasta for me. When they brought out the Prime Rib it looked like a rib steak on the bone....tasted more like steak then PR. The Portuguese chips on the plate were saturated with oil and not good to eat. My combo seafood was also ok...had tiny mussels, scallops the size of a pencil eraser. A few clams and several shrimp....pasta and sauce were good. Nothing was outstanding or even really good. A real killer was the price of a glass of soda $3.50...honest! I appreciate a dive bar but this place really surprised us...should have followed first instinct and turned around and left....

They had the best food. I loved the filet and shrimp dish, and espresso. Will miss this place.

Housed in a landmark Floral Park building, this gem has a warm ambiance with low lighting, leather booths, and quiet background coffee-sleepy-jazz in the background (Though, as a fan, I wish they hadn't messed with the Sly and the Family Stone's "If You Want Me To Stay" :D). There is an inviting large bar, an open kitchen, and a large private room in the back. The menu is American classics made with premium ingredients. Although his place is known for their single malt whiskey, craft beer and signature cocktails, only one at our table had a cocktail: EZ Money made with gin, prosecco, lemon, cucumber and St- Germain Elderflower Liqueur. I will look at their wine list next visit. As for the food, the garlic bread and calamari did not disappoint. Our table ordered a variety of dishes. A unique rotisserie chicken salad sandwich, a salmon bowl, and an order of mussels. Each dish was a win. I chose a great mesclun green salad and had to try the double smash burger, a mouth-watering proprietary blend of prime chuck, brisket and short rib which I'd have to talk myself out of not re ordering with my next visit. From family gatherings and office parties to intimate date nights, The Harrison offers an ambiance and menu designed to satisfy both the casual diner and the most discerning palate.

Crabtree 's did not disappoint. From the welcoming greeting, by professional restaurant staff, and not bored teenagers, to the impeccable service and food, our experience here was a pure delight. The calamari and ceaser salad appetizers were bursting with flavor and tasted so fresh. I ordered the special, a whole roasted dorado fish. It was divine. My partner had the lobster and shrimp pasta dish and was just as happy. I am a very finicky restaurant diner. I could not recommend this place more. While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

We were traveling from out of town and meeting up with an old high school friend and Copperhill was the perfect place. Our server Cat D. also did a fine job of keeping us all very happy, she's a great server. I had the shrimp tacos which were very good. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with cool art and flowers/plant life. They did a great job with creating a cool vibe inside. It does get a little loud, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, brunch on a Sunday might not be the place. The restaurant gets pretty crowded.. and for a reason.
