Starter bread was delicious. Food was pretty good. Big portions for the entrees and affordable pricing. Very good service. The inside seems a bit old however.

Love love this restaurant! Service is always incredible, never rushed. Food is outstanding- great price for huge portions.

Paella Vallenciana - enjoyed everything but the scallops (a little rubbery)

We tried Cafe Sport because I had a $25 certificate from Restaurants.com. I'm glad we gave this place a chance. The food was good and the service was exemplary! From the fresh basket of bread they put on the table to the delicious White Sangria, our meal got started off on the right food. We shared the Paella Valenciana which was enormous and mixed grill (sausage, skirt steak and chicken with rice and veggies) which we took home because we didn't have much room after the paella and bread. We had flan and a traditional caramel cream dessert...translated into English, I believe it was called "Camel's Drool." Don't let the gross name fool you--this dessert was light, airy, sweet creamy and decadent. So glad we tried it! After the $25 certificate our dinner for two was $57 plus tip. The dining room is small ad you have to walk through the bar to get there, but it's worth it.

My wife and I had a $25 coupon for Cafe Sport which sounds like a sport bar but it's not. When we walked in we had to walk the length of the bar to get to the dining room. The dining room had a very nice inviting feel to it like in a fine restaurant. It was small but very lively with several parties and there was only one table available. It was Saturday night so of course they were busy. I guess we got lucky. We had to wait a few minutes for our table because the only people we saw was the bartender and one waiter. You can see they were short handed and working very hard and our waiter had mentioned to us they were short some staff that night. Even though they were shorted handed they treated us like regulars with a warm friendly welcome and it continued through the night. We started with a half pitcher of Sangria, very good. For our main course I had the Frango A Chefe, a Sauteed breast of chicken with mushroom sauce garnished with shrimp and wife had the Paelha Marinheira, a Seafood combination in saffron rice. Even though we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food it came out very hot and it was excellent. This is a Portuguese restaurant and it seems to be a hidden gem. I wish I could have eaten more because the appetizers and deserts looked amazing. Next time I may just order an appetizer and desert. After dinner we handed our waiter the coupon and when we handed him the money to pay he shook bought our hands and thanked us for coming and being patient. He had no idea of how much of a tip we had left him but of course we tipped him on what the bill would have been before the discount and we were generous because he deserved it. My wife and I had a pleasant evening and we could see so was everyone else in the dining room. We would definitely go back and tell others this is a place to try.

Small Portuguese restaurant with good portions. The wait for food was almost over an hour and the food was okay. The service wasn't that great or anything special. We ordered paella and the chocolate cake. The paella was a bit too soupy for me, but the chocolate cake was dense and delicious. Good portions for the kinda expensive price. The wait for food is the worst part however but I would come back to try it again.

Shrimp in Garlic Sauce appetizer.

Went here for the first time in a long time and was looking forward to some good Portuguese food. Unfortunately, this was not the night at Cafe Sport. We started with the shrimp in garlic sauce. The shrimp were small and the garlic sauce was bland. The dish was very underwhelming. For her main course, my wife had the pork and clams. This dish is a favorite of ours Cafe Sports was very good. Actually, it was the best dish of the night. I had the seafood I. Green sauce. Once again, the sauce was bland. The seafood was also disappointing. I would have given Cafe Sport two stars, but the service was good and the restaurant was very pleasant. All in all, a very disappointing night at Cafe Sport. There are too many good Portuguese restaurants nearby to give here another try. Sorry, Cafe Sport.

Great meal starting with clams and chorizo. I had a dish of filet of sole with banana, unique and tasty. Husband had pasta primavera and loved it.Nice bottle of alvarinho at reasonable price.

The restaurant's ambiance was wonderful, with several spacious dining rooms that each had their own charm. We chose to dine on the outdoor patio, which felt like a rooftop restaurant in the city, with beautiful trees creating a canopy overhead. Loved the vibe ! Our party of four started with the escargot and clams. While I don't personally eat escargot, the others at the table thoroughly enjoyed it. For my entrée, I ordered the mahi-mahi with mango, which was phenomenal--extremely fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The other guests raved about the halibut in lobster sauce and the potato-crusted grouper. I finished with the carrot cake, and all though I was full proceeded to finish entirely because it was that good! A special mention goes to our waitress, Michelle, who was attentive and thoughtful throughout the evening. She even brought extra crostini so the table could enjoy every last bit of the escargot sauce. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we look forward to returning.

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

If you want something lighter, the Cubano sandwich on Long Island is frequently cited as a destination-worthy staple. The space feels warm and family-run, as what I may describe as stepping into an "abuela's house". The staff is highly attentive and offers great menu recommendations. It tends to get packed--especially on weekend evenings--but the lively vibe (including staff-led birthday songs) adds to the charm. I note that the pricing is moderate and reasonable for the high quality and generous portion sizes, frequently allowing diners to take home leftovers.

This feels like a warm, family-friendly neighborhood restaurant serving authentic Thai food. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. We accidentally ordered the wrong Tom Yum soup (we didn't realize there were two versions), and our waitress went above and beyond by happily switching it to the creamy one. I can't say enough good things about the food. To start, I absolutely loved my plum drink. Some of the highlights of our meal were the papaya salad and mango salad--both were perfectly balanced, fresh, and full of flavor. The steamed chili lime branzino was incredibly tender, with a beautiful balance of lemongrass and fresh herbs that, for a moment, brought me right back to the street food in Chiang Mai. The BBQ pork jowl over rice was another pleasant surprise--juicy, flavorful, with just the right balance of sweetness and crispiness. By the end of the meal we were completely full, but there's no such thing as skipping dessert at a great Thai restaurant. We ordered the Bi Go Moi with taro ice cream, and it was the perfect ending. If you're a fan of purple sticky rice and rich coconut milk, this dessert is an absolute must. The taro ice cream paired beautifully with it and really hit the spot. We truly enjoyed every part of the experience--from the delicious food and warm hospitality to the wonderful company and laughter that made for a memorable birthday dinner. We'll definitely be back!

Our server was so friendly with my kids, even talking to them about Minecraft - which they were obviously elated about. I apologize for forgetting his name but my son wants me to let the owners know that he was the nicest "restaurant person" ever. My only real complaint is that the tables are all very cramped together. It seems like they've added tables since the last time my family was there in order to accommodate a bigger influx of patrons. However it feels very tight and our table was in an awkward place (sticking out in front of the French doors that lead into the other room). Other than that the atmosphere is very welcoming, all the floor staff were nice, we had a great time and left very full!
