Was in the area for an event and needed dinner. Yelp brought me here. I had the classic chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken sandwich was good...but it was also basic. It didn't taste any different than any other chicken sandwich I've had. The fries were crispy and tasty. Service was basic.

Stopped in this morning at Pop's Place on Route 48 E. In Rockaway Township after hearing quite a few rave reviews. Cozy, old school style looking little roadside, classic style NJ eatery serving up a selection of Sabrett specialty hot dogs , sandwiches , burgers , grilled chicken boxes, spuds and rings, in addition to a mouth watering selection of your traditional New Jersey breakfast choices. Super fast and friendly service and immaculately clean, it was a family friendly joint to just sit, relax, and stuff your face with a variety of your favorite menu items, be it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I went with Pop's Breakfast Bomb. Taylor Ham (6 slices, beautifully charred), Sausage Patty, 2 Eggs, several slices of American Cheese, on a toasted Brioche Bun. WOW! This sandwich was as good as it sounds. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, and ample enough for two people. TeamTaylorNJ, if you haven't stopped by as of yet. Give it a try. Great stop, great food, nice people. Good luck and continued success. 03/30/2024

@BigDudesBigFoods finally made the 10 minute drive to @PopsPlaceNJ on Rt. 46 in #RockawayNJ on our perpetual quest to support small business. Between the 6 of us, we tackled a decent percentage of Pop's menu. I got Pop's Breakfast Bomb combo. H&O got the grilled cheese and nuggets boxes from the kids menu. Mike got the BBQ Cheddar Bacon Chicken Sandwich Box . Joe and Zack got an assortment dogs. and a #SmashBurger there were fries and onion rings everywhere. We liked the house sauce but H&O stuck with the ketchup. Freddy Jr. treated us like family (sorry about the blurry pic) #PopsPlace has an old timey roadside burger stand feel but it's so well kept, you would think that it just opened. You can sit inside or out. Pop's is at a level above fast food because everything is made to order. We loved our meals and I'm sure you will too. #BigDudesBigFoods #SupportSmallBusiness #BDBFCertified #BDBF

Proof that you don't need to travel to Passaic, Bergen or Hudson County to get some decent food and can find it in Morris County. Today's visit was close to home and I lhave passed it countless times without stopping in. Located on Route 46 in Rockaway is where Pop's Place calls home and will be another place to add to the rotation. Part of the charm in visiting this location is that it once was a Stewart's several years ago (thanks Google for the picture) so there is a nostalgic part of the visit, yet the transformation of the new location brings you to a totally different dinning experience that us unique to Pop's. Plan was to grab a few dogs and provide a fair and honest review on a few of their different dogs but failed you in that after viewing the menu, realized I had to try one of their signature sliders instead. I ended up getting a chili dog with onions with a side of onion rings and a classic slider with grilled onions. Food was super tasty and came out relatively quickly. Arrived a tad before lunch rush and had no problem getting a table. While I was skeptical about eating there or in my car on a chilly January day, I was surprised how well the canopy and vinyl sides kept the dinning area warm and kept out most of the cold. The heaters were blasting and the dinning experience was rather enjoyable for a cold winters day. Definitely beats trying to struggle to eat in a car and not make a mess and getting chilli all over the car. Freddy, the General Manager, who served me was very friendly and was ready to assist with any questions about the menu. Overall a great visit and will added to the mix of places to go when I'm not looking to travel very far just got lunch. From my research prior to my visit, they use a Sabrett all beef natural casing dog 6-1 which raises the bar on quality of product they serve. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area or looking to go on a road trip. Another win for a Morris County establishment in my opinion.

Great tasting food and service. The classic double slider was thick, juicy and flavorful. A great tasting burger. The included fries were just as good. Very clean and well managed with friendly service easy parking and plenty of tables.

Exactly what you would want from a place like this. Great hot dogs and excellent sliders!!!! The grilled onions on the burgers are great. The Texas chili dog was very good. I would definitely come back.

Probably like a lot of people, when I heard Stewart's was being torn down, there was a feeling of sadness for nostalgia being gone. In this case, however, Pop's surpasses what was there. This is a new construction restaurant that is really nicely done. Pop's kept the feeling of an old time hamburger/hot dog stand. The place is clean, the menu great, and the staff very friendly. For our first visit here, I ordered the Chicago hot dog box and my wife had the cheesy sliders. We both chose cheese fries with our orders. The food was delicious! I'm always a fan of Chicago hot dogs and loved these. The star of the meal for us though were the ice cream floats. True to its history, they're made with Stewart's soda. I had orange vanilla and my wife had root beer. Fantastic! If you're in the Dover/Rockaway area and feeling the need for old fashioned American food, give Pop's a try! I know we'll be back!

I've wanted to try Pop's Place since they opened and today was the first day I could get here. This new hot dog joint is at the location of the old Stewart's in Rockaway and even though it's a little out of the way for me I'm pretty sure I'll be back. I've eaten a lot of dogs over the past few years and it was worth the drive. They apparently use a 6/1 Sabrett all beef dog and they were pretty damn good. So I ordered two dogs to go - a Texas all the way with chili sauce, onions and mustard and one with just kraut and mustard. For the one with kraut and mustard I was pleasantly surprised that they use a spicy brown mustard. The kraut was tasty, but I liked that the taste of the dog came through. The Texas all the way was delicious. The chili sauce had a nice taste and a little more meat in it than some of the other places I've hit the past few years. The buns, though delicious and soft, seemed to be a bit big for these dogs...each bite had a touch too much bread...however the roll stood up to the toppings so I can't fault the rolls too much. I heard the cashier tell the person in front of me that they had great shakes so I ordered a Chocolate shake to share with my daughter. It tasted great, but I like my shakes a LOT thicker...like where you struggle to use a straw. As I said, very tasty dogs will bring me back-and that's really what it's about.

So much deliciousness out of such a small building. Stopped by for the soft opening of this brand new business in town, "Pop's Place" where they're serving up some seriously amazing looking Burgers, Chicken, Sliders, and Hot Dog boxes. First time here I tried the Chicago Dog box with a side of Fries and a Pepsi which just happened to make for one heck of a delicious lunch. The Sabrett dog, which to Me is the Gold Standard of Hotdogs, had an outstanding crunch to it and all the fresh fixings were the perfect complements to this awesomely satisfying meal.   Pop's is located on Route 46 right where the old Stewart's drive in used to be. So now that You know where it is and now that You know that it's open, why aren't You here already? Lol, No Worries, More For Me!!  Come And Get Your Munch On!!

It's impossible to read the menu through the glare. Use the paper menus by the cash register.

In terms of flavor, depth of menu, and food quality, there's nothing here you couldn't easily achieve at home. Pop's is a perfectly fine place to make as a pitstop if you're driving through. It's got decent amenities. They recently installed shade covers over their storefront, which accommodate 4 round tables, and there is a separate dining area with ~6 bench tables that is protected by umbrellas only. You can see from the street how busy they are and use that to decide whether you'll stop by. I happened in at 1:30 PM on a Saturday; I was the only person in line, and 4 tables were taken. My food came out right away. I've sampled the cheeseburger beef sliders, the grilled chicken, and their house lemonade. The beef came close to well-done, covered in grilled onions, and nestled in a non-toasted egg bun. From the onions, I got plenty of smoke, and from the beef, I got exactly what you got in grade school cafeterias. The grilled chicken was definitely overcooked. I tried to save it by adding their house BBQ sauce, which is unfortunately lacking in body. My lemonade needed more sugar, and the fries were dry. It is at least inexpensive, which makes it more family-friendly.

Wow Amazing food We really just tried pops since it opened up and since it's coming on when are they were all that busy but the service and food came out quick

I've been wondering about this place for a while. I decided to try them out and picked up some sliders to enjoy during the Jets game. So first impressions, the place is very clean and I was greeted as I walked up by a very cheerful young lady. She was very patient with me, since it was my first time here and I couldn't decide what to get. She made some suggestions and I finally made up my mind. Cheesy sliders with reuben fries. Everything was cooked fresh to order and was served fast. I am So glad that I skipped the fast food giants, Pop Place is So much better! The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stares was the Root beer. Though I did enjoy the bottle of Stewart's I was kinda expecting it on Tap. I would have included a picture of the fries but they didn't make it home...mmmm I will definitely be back. I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu.

There is a full bar which is huge and can make any drink you wish. They have some excellent specialty cocktails. We ordered the guacamole and chips before ordering delicious entrees. We also got the corn and split it so we had room for dinner. I had the rib eye special with a chimichurri sauce, spinach mashed potatoes, and veggies. The steak was perfectly medium rare and the sauce was perfection. I never had spinach mash before but felt good about getting some extra iron in my carbs. I didn't love the zucchini, (weird taste) but the other veggies were fine. My friend picked the burger and fries to satisfy their beef craving. The fries were crispy and perfect while my friend said her burger was excellent. Other friend went for the salmon and veggies, she enjoyed it and had to bring some home because it was a big serving. Last friend got the chicken rice bowl special and opted for grilled chicken instead of fried. They were super accommodating about making changes so we had exactly what we wanted. Again, big portion so she is excited to have lunch tomorrow. The music is very lively and the service is excellent. Be sure to stop in but do make reservations. We decided to grab dessert and had the lemon raspberry cake plus some of the homemade sorbet. One cappuccino and a cup of tea made us all happy and we enjoyed a nice leisurely meal. My friends had not been here before and we all plan on coming back soon. There was valet parking, so be aware and bring some cash for tips if you are so inclined.

Brunch Experience at Norte 175…read more I organized an F1 Race Sunday brunch @ Norte 175 with a group of six friends. We called the day before to confirm that in fact they would have ESPN HD and they actually took the time to confirm that they would. Two thumbs up for that. Having visited this restaurant for dinner multiple times, we were excited to explore their brunch offerings, which provide a refreshing change from typical breakfast fare. Norte 175 offers a vibrant and inviting bar-restaurant tmosphere that pairs perfectly with its interesting food combinations. We arrived just before opening as the race started at noon and while it's understandable that restaurants need time to get started, I would recommend arriving a bit later. Menu Highlights Taco Pancakes: This dish was a standout for me, featuring excellent thick bacon strips that complemented the pancakes beautifully. Huevos Rancheros: My partner and several others in our group ordered this, and they all praised the good flavors and quality of the top-shelf meat and sausages. However, the eggs were slightly overcooked, likely because they sat a bit too long before being served. Paella: One member of our group ordered the paella and appreciated its freshness, which added to the overall positive dining. experience. Our member, born in the UK, had the breakfast burrito and commented it was "good". It looked good, but I'm not sure we can trust the opinion of an authentic breakfast burrito to someone who would have prefered bangers and mash. Beverages - hey it's brunch! The group enjoyed some killer Bloody Marys, and a fantastic peach bellini and well crafted mimosas. All very tasty and perfectly mixed. For appetizers we had guacamole (that was fresh) served with chips. Our group tends to like a bit more spice and garlic in our guac. The spice was quickly rectified when we asked for a salsa with more heat. All the salsas appear to be made in the kitchen, and the hot (green chili) salsa was definitely fresh and spicey. The only downside of our visit was the wait time; the food took longer to arrive than expected, and a few plates were not served piping hot. It's evident that the kitchen needs time to hit its stride, but appear to get better as they got busy. Our server(s) did the the best they could, checking on the food and drinks, and were knowledgeable about the menu. I'd give them an "A" for effrort. Pricing This is not where you go for $4 Taylor Ham, egg and cheese sandwich or monster stack of buttermilk pancakes. The prices are more than fair for the quality and unique flavor of the food. Overall, Norte 175 is a great spot for a unique brunch, but I would advise diners to visit a little after opening to allow the team time to get everything up and running smoothly. The quality of the food, combined with a unique menu, makes this restaurant a worthy choice for your next interesting brunch outing.
