I'm here to rank this as a Five Guys location, not as a burger experience. You've probably already made up your mind on this chain. It is always clean, cordial, and well lit inside. Food comes fast and is made to order, and the toppings are accurate. There's lots of seating so it's not crowded, and there's always parking except during the Christmas season, when this strip mall becomes an absolute parking lot. When I'm in the mood for a burger this is the only non-McDonald's option in the area, except for when Dover Grill is open, which is only seasonal. read more

Five Guys is probably the amount of people it would take to try and pry one of these delicious Cheese Burgers outta the grasp of my greasy hands. Thankfully it's never gonna come to that and that's a good thing because a Guy could get BIT trying a stunt like that, and I'll tell you right now it ain't gonna be this Guy, LOL!! I always appreciate how everything tastes amazing off this well seasoned Grill, their Burgers always cook up Moist, Juicy, and SuperFlavorful. I also gotta throw out a Huge hungry shout out to their Super Crispy Bacon and large hunks of Diced Onions too. Today was my first time in a Five Guys in over 10 years. I'm happy to say that this location in Denville was very good. I guess you would call Five Guys high end fast food. You can see your burger, however, being made right in front of you and it's actually not that fast. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered was tasty and delicious. It starts off with inside-out sesame seed bun with all the toppings, grilled until golden brown. Dare I say, I like the inside-out bun better than the "regular" bun. They do not skimp out on the toppings; with every bite, my burger was spilling everywhere. I really liked this "grilled cheese burger", and if I were to get it again, I would actually get less toppings on it and keep it more as a classic burger. Maybe some grilled onions, ketchup, and mayo - that's it. They're also not shy about the fry portion! The Cajun Fries had plenty of seasoning and were super crispy. January 23, 2023. Arrived at 9:45 pm -- doors locked up tight and not an employee in sight. They are supposed to be open until 10:00 pm. Not sure what the hype is all about. These folks make a decent burger at a fair price. As others have noted, the little burger and small fries is enough food for anyone not starting in the NFL. The regular burger is a double and while I have tried one, it's just too much beef for me. The huge selection of toppings are tempting but I have settled on the cheese burger with mushrooms as my go to. With a small fry and small soda, you can eat for about $10. Since the sodas have free refills, you have to wonder who orders a large one? The people behind the counter are friendly and seem like they enjoy working here so that's cool. The peanuts are tempting and I always eat my fill, but they are really salty so factor that into how big a helping you scoop. The cracking of peanut shells makes a mess so the floor can get a little messy. Having said that, there is almost always a staff member tidying up. The last time I was there the catchup dispensers were both empty, although there we're take out packs nearby. So, why 3 stars? The taste of the burgers is good, not great. However, since burgers are their business, they should be really great. The fries, on the other hand, are so much better than the stuff you get just about everywhere else (except for pommes frites in NYC) . If I could give half stars, this would be a 3 1/2 rating. Five Guys , in hindsight, is a chain. But what really separates this restaurant from the rest is definitely the incredibly friendly staff! Incredibly generous, super nice, and accommodating. 5 guys is ok, its not anything worth traveling for but if there is one in your area you should try it at least once. This is a greesy fast food place that does things big, I like the little burger(single meat patty), Im also a huge guy and find this filling. Never get a large fry, unless you plan on sharing it with a small 3rd world country. A little burger a regular fry and a hotdog is a LOT of food. No matter what the guy behind the counter trys telling you. Also if you like about 5 million flavors of soda your in luck. They have space age soda machines that can add about 5-6 different flavors to about 15 differant sodas. So you want vanilla root beer? your in luck! How about Orange peach soda! They are committed to ensuring that orders are prepared quickly, and the employees who work here are typically much more friendly and polite than in some other nearby locations. Before I tried Five Guys for the first time, I thought it would be just another over-hyped fast food joint. When the Sonic's opened up on 46 in Totowa, there was a lot of hype, but for me, it just fell flat. But not so with Five Guys. The first thing you notice is there menu. There are only four kinds of burgers. Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Hamburger, and Bacon Cheeseburger. You can get them in regular or 'Little". They also have three kinds of hotdogs and a grilled cheese sandwich, plus fries and fountain drinks, but that's it. No chicken sandwiches, no salads, no wraps, no frozen yogurt parfaits with little sprinkles. Second thing you'll notice when you're trying to figure out what to order, is that Five Guys offers you nine toppings and six sauces to go on your burger, all free of charge. So many choices, its almost confusing. Now, the burgers themselves are all made from fresh ground beef. Nothing is frozen and everything is supposed to be trans-fat free. The same for the fries which come into Five Guys the way they came out of the ground. Everything is hot and juicy when you get your order. It's probably the best burger I've had in a long long time. In conclusion Five Guys may have a very sparse menu, but this is an example that sometimes its better to do a few things really, really well, rather than to do a lot of things mediocre. I opted for a little cheeseburger, which is single beef patty burger, and Cajun fries. My order was made in less than five minutes and was piping hot. The fries are good but on the greasy side. Yum! Five Guys is a chain so the menu is the same everywhere. They have burgers, hot dogs, fries, and free bulk self-serve peanuts. I usually get the 'little' burger, which means 1 patty instead of 2 and ask for jalepenos. They use fresh ones, not pickled, and they give the burger a good kick. I like the cajun fries, but at this location, I've found that the fries tend to be a bit limp and not crispy enough. They use fresh potatoes though, so they still tasted great. It's still a relatively new place though, so maybe I just need to wait until they get into their groove? There's plenty of seating and service is relatively quick. read more

I've been to plenty of Five Guys in New Jersey, and this one is just like the other ones I've been to. The novelty of the place is that they serve peanuts in the shell for you to eat while you wait for you food. It's a great little appetizer, but if you have a peanut allergy, stay far, far away. All of their toppings are free so you can get pretty much whatever you might want on a burger. Today for lunch, I got mayo, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and jalapeno. Their prices are a little expensive but the toppings make up for it, in my opinion. I am never disappointed with Five Guys! I am a bit of a burger snob, and they make a great one! Yes, prices are high but every topping is free and they give you A LOT of fries if you're ordering them. Yes, you'll wait 7-8 minutes to get your food but it's made to order and fresh (not frozen). They also deep fry their fries in peanut oil which is more expensive than your fast food joints. They also have free, bottomless, serve yourself peanuts. All of those items make their prices what they are and considering that, it's still a good deal for what you get. read more
