There are times in life when you just have to call a "guy"! It was 9:15pm on a Thursday and I put the garage door down went back inside and heard the spring give way! Thank the Lord it was down and no one was hurt. My very handy hubby tried with all his might to get that door up. Took the other spring off, loosened the pulleys and nothing! It was so heavy! So...30 minutes into this I turn to Yelp! I found Pop's Garage Door, had great reviews and said they were open 24 hours...do people really mean that? Theses days? Tommy picked up my call, was super nice and understanding. We talked about having a tech come out at 11pm that night. I thought that's not going to be cheap! We talked about a morning appointment but then we couldn't figure out how to make that happen with our schedule and theirs. Tommy asked if he could call me back after he talked with his tech. He did what he said and was back with me in less than 5 mins! We actually settled for a visit that night! Willie, the tech, is a master! He was great with my dogs...he had to come through the house. My hubby wanted to watch the process and he walked him through it! He made every effort to make this visit at 11pm seem like it was in the middle of the day. Cleaned up the door tracks and made sure everything was level. Even though we had the issue in the middle of the night Tommy, Willie and Pop's Garage Door made the next day a good one...cuz we could actually get out of our garage and feel reassured the job was a good one! If you have a garage door issue and need to call a "guy"...call Pop's read more

Let my fingers do the walking on the internet when I found I needed my garage door fixed. Pops Garage Doors came with 5 star rating. Pops was very responsive, calling to make the appointment. And following up to update the technicians arrival. Received a call from Daniel, the technician, to say he was in route and would be there within 10 minutes. Daniel arrived wearing a face mask, greeted me, listened to my explanation of what happened and proceeded to investigate what would be needed to make the repairs. Daniel was very courteous and professional. While making his repairs he found that the springs showed their age and that one of the springs may be in jeopardy of breaking. Given the home was built in 1989 and more than likely original to the home, I authorized Daniel to replace the springs. I also inquired if he might have a new bottom rubber seal for the door, as the old was was ripped and tattered. He offered a choice of regular or heavy duty. I opted the heavy duty door gasket. Daniel made all the repairs, replaced the parts and once all the adjustments had been made, he reattached the auto garage door opener to operate the door several times to check it's operation. Having lived in the home nearly 3 years, I can truly say the garage door hadn't operate that smoothly and quietly since I moved in. I can not speak highly enough at Daniel's professionalism and knowledge. A job very well done! I would highly recommend Pops Garage Doors to my friends, family or anyone else who is in need. Thank you Daniel. read more

I had one of the gentleman from this company come and replace the damage support struts for my garage door which was builders quality and which unfortunately decided to destroyed self one poor day after my son tried to use it to come into our garage. The company showed up and they were extremely responsive and hard-working and did a great job fixing my door what I consider to be a very reasonable and competitive price. I am just putting this review and because I just had a minor problem with my door on the mouse after I had it repaired and I called his company late Thursday evening and they had a man at my house by lunchtime Friday who did the minor repairs that need to be done with a great attitude and even though I don't think that the part of the door did you fix was covered in the warranty did a wonderful job I had the decency not to even charge me for the repair since it was just a small spray that need to be replaced. I would have no reservations using this company in the future to replace the entire door, and I would have no reservations and recommending this company to neighbors or friends due to my wonderful experience with their personnel. They are highly recommended and extremely hard and diligent worker and a good value for your money not to mention the fact that they stand behind the work that I've done in the past. A very pleasant experience and short and I highly recommend this company. read more

Punctual and fast. On a Sunday evening my garage door decided to ruin my night. It came off of the track because of a badly placed rowing machine (upright for storage, and it was my fault). Of course I used every expletive known to man. Nonetheless, I called around to a few places and got nowhere. The guys at Pop's answered at 7:30am with a very comforting we'll be there ASAP. 4-5 hours was projected and that's when they came. I see from a text notification that a gentlemen named Rotem was my tech. He was in and out like a young virgin. In 20 minutes, he put my garage back on track and managed to adjust all the pulleys, as well as the spring. He quoted me at $320 for the job. I thought that was a little high, but I've never had to call a garage repairman either. After looking online to see if that was a good price, I found it was about average. So, glad to say I am pleased with their service. Apparently the only other deal that's as good as $320 for 20 minutes is a small Korean lady at the "Happy Endings" massage parlor. read more

This was our first time using Pop's Garage Doors, but we will happily use them again and recommend them to others. Nati responded very quickly to our request for repair of our garage door, and he very kindly accommodated our specific date and time window request. He was extremely professional throughout our arrangement for service and the repair, including confirmation of our appointment, a call to let us know his predicted arrival time, and his on-time arrival. We didn't know what was wrong with the garage door, and he quickly diagnosed the wiring problem. (Previously, neither we nor our handyman had be able to do so.) Nati was phenomenally efficient and effective at bringing our garage door back to full working order -- and even checked the whole system for any potential future issues. Reliability, service and communication were all top notch. Thank you, Pop's Garage Doors!!! read more

Pop's Garage Doors is the best! My garage door broke and after calling them, Netanel and Mike came out the next day to look at it. They said they could fix it, but since the door was 27 years old, I decided to get a new door. The price was reasonable, and Mike came out the next day to install it. Now that the weather is 25° outside, I'm so glad I got it done! There was a mixup with the windows not being installed, but after looking at it without the windows, I decided I liked it better so it worked out for the best. I would definitely recommend Pop's for any work you need done on your garage door. Not only are they prompt, they are very friendly, professional and polite also. read more

It's rare to find a business that is willing to go of their way to help a customer with a minor issue. But that was not the case with Pop's Garage Doors Pikeville location. I was in dire need of a part that was nowhere to be found. After explaining my situation, the owner immediately followed up on the problem, then gave me the part free of charge! (Who does that?). I was blown away by this act and immensely appreciated the very kind gesture. I was also impressed with owner's professionalism. Therefore, I would highly recommend Pop's Garage Door services to anyone in need of garage door installation or repairs. Rick J. read more

Our garage spring snapped on a Sunday late afternoon and we called Pop's Garage Door as they stated in their advertisement they were available 24 hours a day. I immediately received a call after leaving my information and I had a service technician at my house by 7:30pm. Their price was very reasonable and they had financing available which was granted to me within minute, which obviously made this unexpected expense less painful for us as a family. I would 1000% recommend this company! the service technician was very pleasant and helpful explaining to us what happened to our garage door. read more

Pop's saved the day! Nati arrived on time on Sunday morning (!) and quickly diagnosed the problem - the two springs needed to be replaced. He also showed me how a few rollers were not rolling along the track. Nati clearly explained the procedure and prices. His well-stocked truck had all the parts needed to bring our double door back into operation. He lubricated everything and even straightened out a dent in the door and was finished in less than an hour. It's clear that Nati is a professional - he understands that the customer comes first! I came home from work around 5 p.m. to find my garage door springs broken. The garage door was too heavy to lift so my vehicle was stuck unless I could get someone to liberate it. I called other places and the best I could get was someone to come between 8 and 12 the next day. I tried Pop's and asked whether they could come that night. They were able to come at 10 p.m., quoted the price, and got to work. They finished the job in less than an hour. The technicians were courteous and even fixed a broken hinge on the garage door free of charge. Problem solved. My vehicle is free. read more

Just fantastic. I emailed Pop's late last night (holiday) when they were closed. I received an email back in less than 20 mins and they were at my house first thing this morning and the repair to my garage door was done in less than an hour. The owner arrived to do the repair and he did not try to sell me anything I didn't need and instead gave me a suggestion on a better alternative that saved me a ton of $. And they guarantee their work. He did a really great job on a door that I did not think could be fixed without a major replacement. Highly recommended. read more

Our garage door stopped working with a broken cable. We live in downtown Baltimore, and needed this fixed ASAP because there isn't much street parking available where we live. I called Pop's up that Sunday afternoon and they sent a tech over around 5pm that evening. Nati was polite, very competent, and did an awesome job; he had to work with our very old and heavy wooden garage door, but got the cables replaced and then torsion springs adjusted that same evening. Very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend them for any garage door repairs. read more

I don't just give 5 star reviews to anyone, because I'm honest, just like the technician Yossef is so trustworthy; gained my trust when he told me he only needed to replace a cable and spring, and not the entire garage door and controls, but I decided to replace everything completely because I felt their price was very reasonable, and MAN! am I glad I did and went with POPs. Awesome quality compared to what I had before! And looks fantastic, and the door is so so quiet opening and closing. read more

Pop's was GREAT! The spring on our garage door snapped when we returned from dinner at 8pm. We had to get to work the next morning and the cars were trapped. Pop's answered my call quickly that evening and arrived promptly at 7:20 the next morning. The work was completed by 8am and the price was MORE than fair - with a warranty. Polite, efficient and fair. I highly recommend Pop's. The two other companies I called that evening could not do the repair for two days! read more

They are very responsive. When I made a call for broken spring of my garage door they dispatched a technician within an hour. There was heavy traffic on their way but they came in timely manner. Nati Elmaliach explained the work scope and provide a quote. He guaranteed the material has 7 years warranty and 1 year labor warranty. It might not be the best price was the best in the town but they are professional and really fast. Thank you Pop's Garage Doors. read more

Shiran came out today to correct a problem where my garage door would not properly open or close due to a loose track. The repair turned out to be simple and Pop's quoted an extremely fair price to perform it. On top of the repair, they checked both doors, cleaned and lubed everything, and even put in the replacement batteries that I had bought eons ago but never took out of the box. Very friendly and thorough service, would definitely use them again. read more
