An ok Popeyes. Not very busy - at least while I was there. But service was friendly enough. My meal tasted good - and that's what really matters in the end. The place is rather small. So if there is a rush, finding seating might be a problem. But when I was here for lunch on a Tuesday - there was only one other guy eating inside. So all was good. read more

My husband & I went into this establishment to take advantage of their advertisements of three pieces of chicken for $5. We were told that the sale was over. Since we were already there, we ordered something else. Chicken, French fries & drinks. When we arrived home we were not happy with what we found in the bag. The fries looked like they had been in a fight, and they were cold. The chicken was just as bad. We vowed never to return there again. The thought of racial tension was discussed among us. read more

I visited this Popeyes on 4-6- 2026. I ordered online, when I got there. The manager was preparing my food. I ordered a three-piece, chicken, tender, and a shrimp box. I checked my order before I left the store. My shrimp were hard as a rock. They probably were sitting up under the heat for hours and my chicken tenders were cold. I did not want my order. I told him they can keep it and I'm going to dispute it with my credit card because Nagul a manager said it was nothing that they can do . I will not be patronizing in this business anymore and the workers. They are very, very rude. This store is the worse. read more

Absolutely the worst. Cold food. Literally. Fries wet. Tenders dry and just batter. Biscuits hard as rocks. Save yourself the money and time. read more

If I could give this a zero I would. First they charged me for someone else's order after I repeatedly told them that it was not my order. After they refunded the wrong order, they messed up my original order leaving out items. The male at the window had an attitude as well. read more

Locally owned franchise. A rude lady came inside insulting the nice Indian man working drive thru. He only apologized and smiled. Super clean dining room. I got a 5 piece tender combo with mash taters and added two biscuits. Delicious fresh food. I am a fan and will be back! read more

Ordered spicy 2 piece dark with mashed and rice. The chicken was burnt. And I did not get the potatoes. Had to wait 15 minutes for them to cook more chicken. Then they gave me a breast and wing. I give up. This place sucks now. I will never go back. Can I give negative stars? read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager works the drive thru window and barely knows what he's doing. I was driving by and this was convenient but I will never return here. Asking to add something to my order he wanted me to go all the way around AGAIN. lol a complete joke! read more

This Popeyes food was amazing. I don't know what these people are talking about. Love the food. Keep out the good work.

This Popeyes is much more convenient than the one on Terril rd (off the 22). The drive through line here is usually much shorter. Terril rd often backs up to the street... I haven't noticed that problem with this one Also the mobile pickup is quite easy. Even though the dine is still not allowed due to covid, order pick up is quick and easy. read more

This place is super small and the manger just yells at everyone in the kitchen! Where the normal employees!!!

If I could give this place, a zero stars, I would. The place is filthy ever to get some chicken strips and they screwed up the order. I can't give this enough more stars I would give it a zero stars I suggest the owners give the employees some training. read more

This is my local spot for fried chicken. They always have great promo offers and coupons and the food is hot and fresh. Sure the place could use an update but I normally get take out so it's not a big deal. The employees are nice too... read more

Walked in with a mobile order to see two employees on their phones. Restaurant was basically empty (emphasis on empty), so I didn't mind it. After twenty minutes to prepare a simple two combo order, I asked for the drinks I ordered and showed a man my receipt. He read the receipt and gave me one drink; had to ask for another. Leaving with a sandwich smaller than usual and a drink with no ice (their machine had none...), safe to say I'll be finding another location. read more

Annoying. Purchased family meal. No biscuits in the bag. An easy mistake but an unforgivable one. In any case won't go back.

This restaurant is disgusting. Far to many kids working and just throwing food in boxes. Ordered a chicken sandwich spicy that was drenched in spicy sauce. The next time I went a cashier spat in my sandwich while the others looked on. All of the cashiers have attitudes except for the Latina gentleman with the ponytail. He has his moments but for the most part he does know how to display great customer service. Stay Away from This Place - Take the trip to the Union location. This place is hardly ever clean and smells and looks scummy mostly all the time read more

These motherf***ers had the gall to ask me to pay a quarter when I asked them to give me an extra honey mustard sauce packet for my fries. Cheapskates. read more

The customer service at this restaurant is horrible. I decided to go here for a quick bite to eat and the guy at the window taking the orders was extremely rude, impatient and condescending. He took forever to acknowledge us. When he finally did, he greeted us with "hello" and then there was a long pause. When he finally spoke again, he was very impatient and rude. He got really snappy and said "if you need a minute, then say that." This was a horrible first experience and I will never return. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Order a large combo. Get small frys and large drink. I ask about frys. And they were skimpy. Continues to tell me i said large drink only. Then makes me pay an additional $1.92 for frys. Went to this popeyes today and upon entering the front door the Manager starts yelling at me that they are not accepting anymore customers in the dining room. That they are short staffed and to go back out to the drive through...RUDE!!! I came inside for a reason. The drive through is always packed and goes out into the street (dangerous) First of all her tone was very unprofessional it was rude. 2nd They hardly ever have the food I want, they are always out of it. This expeience left a very bad taste with me. I will never go back!!! Never!!!!!! read more

I walked in with the boys for 10 seconds and walked out. It reeked of piss and the place was disgusting.

Just can't seem to get an order right. I have been here a few times. I always ask for the same thing. 8 price dark meat, I even ask to clarify that there will be no breasts. Yet, every time. A box full of breasts. Why even ask for dark meat only. read more

Many of the workers here have a bad attitude and sometimes I get cold or dry fries. Chicken is usually good.

Unfortunately my family and I were served old chicken...We pick the food up and we ordered a 10piece 2 sides and when we got home the food was cold, dry and not fresh at all. The mash potatoes had a sour taste. Why would they serve food like this? People are struggling trying to feed their families during a pandemic. I called to speak to a mgr, but no one would answer. I guess this is their way of not taking responsibility for poor service. I AM DONE...YOU WON'T STEAL FROM US EVER AGAIN. read more

Blackened tenders which comes cooked to order (5 min wait) but worth the wait. Hot with great flavor. Mashed potatoes come with a awesome gravy. Cajun rice was really moist. Biscuits are battery and fluffy read more

I stopped for lunch at the Popeye's on Terrill Road in Scotch Plains for a chicken tender sandwich. This fast food restaurant has off street parking, a drive thru window and both indoor and outdoor seating. The very clean dining area has less tables than they used to which leaves a spacious but awkward large space in the middle of the room. There was a new face at the cash register. This delightful young lady, Josely(I assume is her name from the receipt), welcomed me with a smile and took my order. What an improvement over the previous order takers who looked like they were about to drop dead of boredom as they spoke the lines to the script they had been forced to say. There was a different cook as well. The sandwich consisted of breaded, fried boneless chicken breast with dressing and pickles on a hoagie roll, was hot and tasty. The cole slaw was like wet raw cabbage. There was some thin white dressing but it was void of any taste. The proteins and biscuits here have always been a treat. The sides have always been disappointing and since it's a bit pricey for fast food they really should improve them. Overall I was pleased and I hope this is a sign of an improved Popeye's. I plan on returning soon. read more

Did not believe yelp rating for a 2 star popeyes. Sorry for ever doubting the team of yelp. I've never given any popeyes I've visited anything less then 3 stars. First time for everything. Horrible Christmas eve experience. Ordered a fish sandwich aand a spicy breast. and after you order they tell you there is no spicy. There is no breast pieces mild or spicy. Fish sandwich was cold and 3 very little pieces calling it a sandwich. In place of the spicy breast was 2 mild thighs. So much for a good Xmas dinner Got a small drink and they have the machine with over 100 combinations. Well the first 10 drink1q0 I chose was unavailable. Ok so it was until I picked sprite that I got one that was available. Not good managing going on here. No napkins out. Sweet tea container empty. Nothing right here on Christmas eve read more

I have lived in the area for the past 16 years and have been going to this Popeyes the whole time. If I had to pick KFC vs Popeyes I always pick Popeyes, and go out of my way to get it instead. This location location is right off 22 and the drive thru can get crazy. I have had to wait for food but, Atleast I know it was cooked fresh. read more

Worst service anywhere. Very very slow. Takes 20-30 minutes to place an order and pick it up via the drive thru. And it's not like you can avoid the drive thru and go inside the store to order. No one is allowed in the store except employees. This is July 2022. The pandemic is over. The drive thru lines are only 4-6 cars long. So one would think service would be faster. And if the line is longer than 4 cars, cars waiting at the back of the drive thru line is on a busy street (with other cars honking or buzzing by). Staff is not friendly. Hoping for another Popeyes to open near me soon. Otherwise I may have to go to KFC. read more

If there was a zero star option this place gets it. I needed some lunch and got in the drive thru at 1245. Ordered at 112. Told us it would be a little while. Manager comes and tells us to move or else we have to wait another 20 minutes. Finally receive food 30 minutes later and missing the chicken sandwich which is what we went there for. So we went back in and it wasn't even plain so overall 0 out of 5. Crappy service and overall just crappy experience don't recommend. Go to chick fil a right across the street 1/4 of the time better service and overall better. read more

I went and orders a spicy chicken meal, got to the window and there was no ice in my soda. I told them I didn't want it , they got nasty but I kept my calm and ask for a full refund. The manager told me she told me there was no ice and I told her no one had told me that and to please refund my money! And she said I told you you dumb motherfucking cracker, imagine if I responded with the N word! I have more class than that but will never eat at any Popeyes due to this incident, read more

What can I say terrible service there is a line because the order taker was confused and the restaurant was empty! Then let's talk about the food. They were advertising beer can chicken with french fries for 399 the description sounded delicious order a soda with that and it becomes a six dollar meal. when they bring the meal out it's a cold mound of french fries with a small malformed piece of chicken no more than 3 ounces what a rip off! Even worse they advertise a Cajun creamy dipping sauce for the chicken and on this particular day they were out. What a rip off. read more
