I am no longer a client of popcorn paws. I dropped my dog off left specific instructions on how I wanted him groomed with their receptionist. When my partner returned to retrieve our dog he was behind the front desk shaking. My partner couldn't even recognize him that's how totally different he look. She even told the her that's not my dog I have a Yorkie. Unfortunately there was no explanation due to the fact the groomer left. When I called the following day to speak to management. I was given an email to make any complaints with management. Which I found out is odd because any complaints you would want to do by speaking directly to your customer. I asked why was he groomed this way ? She was very apologetic and said she doesn't know why Miguel didn't follow instructions. I was even told my dog was crying after Miguel left and that's why she brought him to the front with her. I know it's not her fault she wrote down what needed to be done and passed it along to Miguel I saw that with my own eyes. When they reached back to me two days later they offered a free grooming appointment with apologies from Miguel. I found this unacceptable, I requested video and was totally ignored to my request. I requested a full refund and told them I find it very upsetting how they are handling this. They just lost a long time client. You can't just treat customers dogs so poorly and think we are not aware of it. These are our babies we in trust them with you it's your duty to do your job correctly.

Good Afternoon, My name is Charlene Restituyo. My husband took my dog king for a grooming section on Sunday December 16, 2018at 10:00am. My husband told the groomer to be careful around the face area because they always cut it too low since he always gets swollen. We picked him up at 12:15pm Sunday December 16, 2018. The groomer did tell us that his eyes were irritated due to the cut. But after shortly when we decided to take Santa pictures king started to scratch a little and cry I thought he wanted to go home. Once arrived at home he started to cry more and I notice he started to bleed a lot so I called popcorn Paz and spoke to the senior manager who said come in. When I arrived I did not want anyone to touch my king I was scared, but she insisted on it and took him upstairs were they clean his eye and a cone was placed on his head. As per the senior manager she said it was an allergic reaction from shampoo I brought in to use for him. Which it was not because King would of had his whole entire body irritated but it was just the eye section. He uses this weekly at home since he has been a puppy. She recommended to apply hydrocortisone lotion around the area for relief. She is not a qualified vet to be recommended things for my dog. Specially when he is in pain. She even told me there's no point to take your dog to the vet they won't do anything it's just irritated. Plus they will charge me more money. An hour pass and King did not stop bleeding! I had no choice but to take him to the vet who checked on him and said there is are a cut on his right eye. They did the fluorescein stain exam which proved there's a big cut that king did not do to himself. Medicine was prescribed because it was really swollen and he couldn't open his eye. I had to pay for all of this! I went back to the senior manager for help maybe a little reimbursement for this but she refused too! Instead said I can read you the contract you sign before giving us your dog for grooming sections. Accidents do happen but you signed the contract! I found this to be completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I trust you with my dog and you hurt my dog and think is okay? It's not! She is not a license vet or qualified to be a groomer. She is just a manager. After a while she said email us regarding the situation which I am now. Please understand we have been loyal customers to this company. My dog has a grooming section once a month. That's 12 times a year a total of 1,056 dollars not counting tax and tips we spend here. Is there a way I can get reimbursed for this expenses. All I did was trust the groomer with my dog and look how they gave him back to us. Please if you love your pets don't take them here eve!!! They even refused to help us after all the times we have been there!!!! My dog does not deserve to be in pain!!!

Here is the email I sent Popcorn Pawz following them injuring my dog. "Good Morning, My name is Alexandria and my dog is Sir. On January 9th at approximately 4pm my dog Sir was in attendance for his 4pm grooming appointment and was returned to me at approximately 5pm. While Sir was being groomed I was informed that the groomer was unable to groom around his face. I was informed that I have to bring him the next day for him to be groomed by the groomer that specializes in the face trimming. When I picked up my dog I did see that his face was not trimmed. The next day January 10th at approximately 11am Sir returned for his face trimming. The cashier called the groomer Miguel downstairs and he took my dog and my husband was told to return in 20 minutes for pickup. At around 12pm my husband came to pick up Sir and the cashier proceeded upstairs to get him. When my husband received Sir he left and put him in the car. As he looked at Sir's face he noticed that Sir's right eye was extremely red and he also noticed a bruise above that eye. My husband immediately returned to the location to show the cashier Sir's face and she called Miguel downstairs. Miguel stated that "the injury could have came from the muzzle", let me be clear "MY DOG DID NOT HAVE THIS INJURY WHEN HE WAS DROPPED OFF ON THE MORNING OF JANUARY 10th". At 1:15pm I took the dog to the Veterinarian and was told that the injury looks like it was caused by force. We are not accusing you of intentionally hitting or hurting Sir, but his injury did happen under your care and supervision. We have photos of the injuries and I returned as soon as we left to make the cashier aware of his recent injury. We would appreciate it if you pay for the veterinarian fee and refund us half for the grooming. I will attach the invoice and the injury to Sir." I spoke to the manager and she stated to me " I don't know if you or your wife have read the contract but we don't cover blood clots and no one told you to go to the veterinarian, I'm sorry" I will take my business elsewhere... if you go here you have been warned. P.s. the email I was given doesn't work

This grooming salon is conveniently located near me so I've tried it out a couple times. I've never been impressed with the grooming for my 5.5 lb Maltishu. I've always requested to keep her hair on the longer side but I think it's easiest for them to basically shave her which doesn't make sense since they are very expensive. My dog is very shy and lonesome after a haircut. She loves being under her shaggy hair and I like the way she looks with longer hair. I tried explaining to the groomer that I want him to leave her head and face longer but the body can be cut down. I told him leave the hair about an inch long on the face, which he replied "yea ill make nice and round" ok I guess that meant do whatever he wants. I know her hair will grow back so I'm not concerned however if you're doing whatever with people dogs than Atleast don't charge nearly $100.00 for a shave!

Rusty with all his hair gone except on his head!

I took my dogs to get groomed and they came back skinned! The groomer Miguel basically took off all their hair and my little 9 pound toy poodle came back traumatized! She's been shaking and scared for 3 days and I can't even touch her,she cries and yells in pain! I will never take my Dogs there again !

Popcorn Pawz is one of the few pet shops in the neighborhood that sell Stella & Chewy and that's all my little princess eats. They always have a lot of items in stock and are also quite accommodating to the clients needs. The sales that they tend to have also are quite nice and I feel like they sell top tier dog products. We do our own pets grooming so cannot speak for this aspect of their business. If you're looking for dog products, please come here prior to Petco. The people working here are sweet and knowledgeable, beware that they have a very STRICT return policy. I love this local pet shop and will continue shopping here.

The staff was so inviting and helpful! I love that they are conveniently located in my neighborhood. Jennifer did an amazing job with Olivia's grooming. We are surely to return again!

They do not follow their own business hours and are frequently closed when they are suppose to be open.
