Matt's the King of Doggie Groomers. When he's finished, my poochie always looks like a Prince.

He was amazing! with my Denim , the cut was what I wanted. I am please, and comfortable with Matt, in how he took his time with my dog. Denim, was a little nervous, but he calm down n was more relaxed with Matt. I am about to contact him to schedule an appointment for Denim. Matt did an excellent job, keeping my dog looking adorable and neat. The cut is perfectly shaped, especially around the face, and my Yorkie was very comfortable throughout the process. Great service--I'll definitely be calling Matt again! I'm really happy with my Yorkie's haircut! read more

Just had my dogs nails done by Matt. He is so good with the animals. I highly recommend him if you need your pets nails clipped.

Matt went above and beyond for my dog!! He came to our house late into the evening to accommodate our schedules and get us booked as soon as possible, was extremely kind and calm with our little Yorkie, and did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!! read more

Matthew was an absolute Godsend! Not only was he accommodating to my erratic schedule, he had a warm disposition and was a consummate professional who clearly has a true affinity for animals. My dog "Valentino" was in bad shape aesthetically... to say he was in need of a groom is a grave understatement! Due to an exercise related injury, I couldn't physically manage to take him to the groomer's for a while and it showed! Having a pure bred Bischon Frise with a white coat requires grooming upkeep-- I was desperate for a convenient, cost efficient option and Matthew came to the rescue. I was initially concerned about the mess factor... it wasn't too bad though I would recommend that either the pet owner or Matthew provide a tarp or overlay for easy clean up. Additionally, my dog is accustomed to being groomed on a table (because he is a runner and a bit squirmy) but Matthew managed to style him while seated on the floor untethered. The overall process took several hours... a bit longer than average but again, my dog was in very poor condition as far as his coat was concerned! Dirty and matted hot mess express! My pup is an old man so he has a bit of staining around the mouth and feet, but Matthew did a great job of cleaning and cutting down the unsightly stained areas. I highly recommend Matthew's services and will be using him in the future for my grooming needs. He is detail orientated, thorough, gentle and affordable! My dog adored him and was genuinely pleased at the end of his session! read more

Matt was very nice and came prepared. He washes and clipped nails and did analnglands( which I wasn't expecting)

I wish Matt had been able to respect my time. We agreed he'd come at 10 am. At 10:20 am he still hadn't arrived. I texted him and he said he would not be able to get here until 12:30. I told him that would not work. I wasted time waiting for him to get here, and the cat did not get groomed. read more

Matt was wonderful, very professional and easygoing. He put our more nervous dog at ease and did an excellent job from the haircut, to nails and grooming and bath. You can tell he really loves animals and this is reflected in everything he does, from his attention to detail to the care with which he handles animals. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job Matt! read more

Matt is great. He did a wonderful job of clipping our cats' claws for a long time. We discontinued during the COVID crisis because he didn't want to get vaccinated. Now that the crisis is over we hope to be able to call him back. Very reasonable price. read more

Matt was professional, easy to communicate with, and on time. Upon arrival, Matt set up and began to work. He was gentle, and careful with handling my little shihpoo. He will also let you know if he observes anything unusual with your dog such as hair, skin, nails etc.. Overall, my dog's cut was neat and clean just as I asked. I'm happy with his service. It was pleasant to have a groomer come when the timing is good for you. Thank you Matt! read more

This review is so long over due!! I adopted my pup from the Harlem ACC back in November 2018 and took her home extremely matted and dirty (she really looked like a wet mop). I found Matt through yelp and decided to reach out to him (specifically because he does in home appointments & wanted to make my pup feel as comfortable as possible), he responded super fast & quoted me a very reasonable price, so we set up an appointment. Unfortunately we had to reschedule the original appointment due to bad weather, but Matt showed up on time and with everything he needed once rescheduled. He was super kind and sweet to Cleo - who was still adjusting to her new environment and was very shy & scared. Matt knew what he was doing and got Cleo cleaned up, bathed & free of all her dirty matted fur. It took him a little longer than expected due to the severity of her matted fur, but Matt took his time and was extra gentle with her, especially when he got to her paws which were the most difficult & matted part of her. Overall, I would recommend him & plan on setting up another grooming appointment soon! Thanks Matt!! read more

Oh man I don't know where to start! I'll start by saying life got ahead of me and I hadn't gotten Duke groomed in a LONG TIME... Desperate for someone and fast I stumbled upon Matt here on Yelp... I figured I'd try my luck and reach out. Matt responded quickly and we had an appointment on the next business day. His price was very, very reasonable and he arrived at or around schedule. Matt got right to business and was very, very patient with Duke! My dog was being a bit of a drama queen...Not only will I be reaching out for the next session but I recommend any and everyone to call Matt. Seriously it gets no better than having your dog groomed in the comfort of your own home! read more

OMG. I reached out to Matt b/c my senior dog, who can't really leave the house, was in desperate need of grooming (long hair, Pekingese). All I can say is that Matt is a miracle worker and I wish I knew about him sooner. He communicates with you throughout the whole process so you know when he will arrive. He was extremely professional, and sweet with my dog. My dog, who tends to be nervous when getting groomed, was very relaxed and liked Matt a lot. My dog was very very happy afterwards. Matt gets right to work, and cleaned up after himself. (No hair flying around). If you're having any doubts, don't, just reach out to Matt and you'll be super happy with the results. I will be a return customer for sure! read more

Matt was great and super patient with my senior dog. I believe it was a huge benefit for her to be groomed in a place that felt familiar. She has never looked and smelled better! What to do when you've recently moved to the city and have a dog who doesn't play well with other animals AND you're not comfortable clipping dog nails? Well, you desperately search for an in-home groomer since mobile grooming is impossible without a dedicated parking spot. Luckily, I found Matt. He shows up on time, he doesn't leave a mess and outside of the actual bathing process, my dog really likes him. She comes out super soft and smelling like a dream. She may not love baths, but she loves the attention afterwards. And I like the peace of mind knowing that I don't have a stinky smelly dog hanging around my son. Matt even plays for a few minutes with my toddler who is fascinated with visitors. He's an all around good guy. Prices are reasonable and we look forward to seeing him every month and I'm comfortable with him in my home. It's easiest to reach him by text, but I would recommend setting up a recurring monthly appointment or at the very least setting up for the next month at the end of your visit. His card says: "Wherever I am needed." And as far as I can tell he means it. So don't hesitate to make him your first call! read more

Matt is very warm and friendly. He comes with all the necessary tools and takes his time. He uses sanitizing spray on his tools to ensure safety and hygiene. He gives a through bath and is gentle with my dog. Matt does not rush and ensures that my dog is nicely groomed. During covid he as helped me feel safe by wearing a double mask. I highly recommend him! read more

Had Matt come to groom my Lhasa Apso. Sadly, he had a few mats because I couldn't find a local groomer. I can't even describe how great Matt was. My dog is difficult, but Matt did a better job than ANY groomer I've ever taken my dog to. He is professional, great with animals, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Great price as well. You can absolutely trust Matt with your pet, as I will again. read more

Matt did so good with my baby! It was my puppy's first time getting groomed and even though he moved around a lot, barked, and cried, Matt had a lot of patience. For an affordable price, Matt comes into your home and does an amazing job that includes bath, blow dry, hair cut, nail filing, and cleans ears and butthole. I am very glad I found him because my puppy gets extremely car sick and I did not want to travel for grooming so this is perfect. Will definitely be calling him up in another 4 months for another appointment! read more

I scheduled an appointment with this groomer who cancelled 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment. We Rescheduled for 2 days later. This time he was a no show,no call, just nothing. Matt was the BEST dog groomer I have ever had! He was so kind and patient with my little foster pup who is super intimidated by humans. He spent time building rapport and allowing her to feel comfortable with him. He turned this grungy little street doggie into a gorgeous, adorable Shih-tzu! I am so appreciative of Matt's service - his professionalism when she barked and snapped at him, his quality care making sure every hair was perfectly in place, and his flexible scheduling. Not to mention, he brings with him every tool and grooming resource needed to give your dog a phenomenal new look! Matt cleans up everything, leaving your home just as it was before (if not cleaner), and his prices are very reasonable! Matt is the only groomer you should use for your doggie! read more
