Extremely Disappointed by How My Dog's Injury Was Handled-…read more I originally wanted to handle this situation privately and amicably with Puppy Playground and the owner, Ronny. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability, professional communication, and compassion afterward is why I feel other pet owners should know about my experience. I brought my one-year-old , 5lb , curly toy poodle in because she had some matting around her stomach , neck and leg area. Her grooming is normally around $80, but after discussing the what was necessary for her coat with Ronny and the groomer, I agreed to pay $140. I was specifically told that the higher price reflected the additional time and care that would be needed to groom her safely. After nearly two hours, I received a text saying my dog was ready. When I arrived, I could hear my dog screaming/crying from behind the door. I immediately asked Ronny and the groomer whether something had happened and whether she was okay. Both told me that nothing had happened and that everything was fine. When my dog was brought out, the establishment was relatively dark and I was only able to give her a quick look before paying and leaving. Once I got home and was able to inspect her properly, I noticed what appeared to be a significant open cut/gash on her front leg, along with additional red and irritated areas on her body. (See photos and videos) I immediately attempted to contact the business using the phone numbers provided and also returned to the establishment because I wanted an explanation. Ronny later called me. What concerned me even more than the injury itself was the way the situation was addressed. During that conversation, he repeatedly minimized what happened. He told me, in substance, that these things happen to lots of dogs , they forgot to mention it , and at one point told me that it was "not that big of a deal." He also made it clear that if I chose to take my dog to a veterinarian, that was my decision and they would not be responsible for that expense. I requested a refund--or even a partial refund--of the $140 I had just paid for a service that resulted in my dog coming home injured. That request was denied. The only solution offered was for me to bring my dog back so that they could "take a look." At that point, I was not comfortable bringing her back. My biggest issue is that I specifically asked before leaving whether something had happened to my dog and was told no. Had someone simply been transparent with me and said she had been cut or injured during the grooming process, this situation could have been handled very differently. Accidents can happen during grooming. What matters is how a business responds when they happen. I expected honesty, concern for my dog, accountability, and an effort to make the situation right. Instead, I left feeling that the injury was minimized and that my concerns as a pet owner were dismissed. For a business that I trusted with a one-year-old dog and paid a premium price specifically because I was assured additional time and care would be taken, this experience was extremely upsetting. I would strongly encourage pet owners to thoroughly inspect their dogs before leaving and to ask questions if anything seems unusual. Based on my experience and the way this situation was handled afterward, I will not be returning to Puppy Playground.

He had a bad experience the very first time he was groomed 3 yrs ago ( somewhere else) and he has never been the same. He has had a haircut at the vet under anesthesia every time. Not good for him and extremely expensive !! He does not let us brush him, we can't pick him up at all, he growls and tries to bite. The dog waa walking weird ans realized Sienna cut his nails way below his nerve line. The dog is in pain and 24 hours later still in slight agony. It is horrible the service he received and advise to NOT go to that groomer Sienna who was extremely unprofessional.
