Immediately upon speaking with them on the phone I could tell they were very professional. They listened to our needs, and came to our home to meet our two dogs within just a few days. Both of my dogs are rescue dogs and one doesn't always do so well with new people, but that wasn't the case this time. Both dogs fell in love with them immediately! They are natural "dog people" and our dogs immediately grabbed their toys and dragged them over to them to play. We have now been using Steven and Wendy for a few months, and they are always punctual, kind, and informative. They even send daily updates with pictures of our pooches enjoying their walks. We are so happy we found Boogie N Pals!!!

They were so kind in answering every and all question I had about my fur babies. Really great place. And clean too. I saw them mopping up twice, just when I was there. When it came time to pick them, it took them time to get both of them. But I did not tell them I would be back early on a Sunday. And there were other pets waiting. But they were very prompt and safety comes first so I definitely can appreciate. For this reason alone I would continue to use them. Along with the way they make you feel welcome and comfortable. May not be the cheapest option, but its the safest and only one as far as I am concerned.

From the street you can see 10 or so dogs unsupervised locked up in a room. I mentioned to the young lady at the desk that I have two small dogs that would not fair well being put in the room with the general public. I was then informed that there were private rooms. I said that might be an option and asked if I could see one. "Oh no, we don't let the public in there are pictures online." I asked her if she was serious and thought that I would just drop my dogs in a place site unseen and leave them. She responded with an attitude that people do it all the time. I asked her " assuming she had a pet" as a pet owner, would you just leave your dog in a place that you have only seen pictures of? Are you kidding? I can't understand how any responsible pet owner would drop their dog off in a place that they were not able to see with their own eyes. What a disappointing first encounter with River Pet Resort. In my mind, If you are a well run, properly staffed, legit and clean business you should want nothing more than to encourage potential clients to see your facility and show them around. Seems shady to me. Anyone who accepts the pictures on line as confirmation that they are leaving their pet in clean and safe environment should probably not be a pet owner. Would you leave your child in a facility that you have never seen before but was told there are pictures on line? I would hope not!

They make everything so easy for me -- they do both pick-up and drop-off (only $10 each way on weekdays and $30 on weekends!), which is huge when I'm working long or weird hours and can't get home in time. They also literally have everything I could ever need in one place: daycare, boarding, veterinary care, and grooming. Peach has boarded with them before and it went perfectly. And the grooming? They do it while she's already at daycare and then drop her off at home clean and fluffy, so I come home to a happy, tired, freshly groomed dog. It's the most convenient thing ever. The grooming prices are very reasonable and the quality of the grooming is the best she's had (and we've tried MANY groomers). They're incredibly responsive over text and email, which I appreciate when I'm at work and can't call. And one of my absolute favorite parts: the daily report card and photos of my dog every single day so I know exactly how she's doing. Plus they have a live webcam you can access from anywhere -- I check in on Peach from work all the time and it always makes my day. I truly can't recommend Strut Your Pup enough. They treat my dog like family and make my life as a busy dog mom so much easier.

Several minutes later the groomer came out and said they couldn't get the stain off of him. She informed me they were doing construction in the back and he was laying on the floor under it. The conversation got worse and worse from there. She told me "it was likely something from the air conditioner and she didn't know what it was but it definitely wasn't dangerous." She then casually said if they couldn't get it off I wouldn't have to pay for the grooming.... as if he was a sweater that got stained at the dry cleaner. They ended up giving him two more baths and getting most of it off with Dawn dish soap... which is what they use to take oil spills off of sea creatures. My dog was unsupervised, laying in construction chemicals and came out from his grooming stained. After all of that, they still charged me and barely apologized. I was a regular customer for several years and this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Needless to say we have never been back.
