Jennifer was my first dog walker after moving to the LES from Ohio. She used to work at a vet and now walks dogs full time and does an amazing job. The first time she showed up she had treats for him and picked up the keys to the apartment. I used her about once to twice weekly, when I had to work longer shifts at the hospital, and I ju us emailed her the Sunday before to tell her when I needed her to stop by. Her prices are reasonable, and she does both solo and group walks, with instagram updates of your pup for those that follow her (I don't normally have one but made one to follow her). She never missed a single appointment over the year she worked with us, despite me waiting until Monday morning sometimes to email her. Jennifer has been great! I've needed to travel several times since I moved back to this neighborhood, and having such a reliable sitter has been a huge load off my mind. She sends pictures and a quick status report with every visit so I know my cat is doing well. My cat seems to love her - normally when I get back from a trip, he's extremely clingy, practically out of his mind, but he's been way calmer after visits from Jennifer. Additionally, she went out of her way to be extra sweet with brushing him - she got almost enough hair off him one day to make another cat. Her medical experience is another huge bonus. This review is way overdue! Jennifer has been walking our boxer mix for over a year-and-a-half, since he was 10 months old, and we are so thankful for her! Our pup adores her, and she is friendly, helpful, reliable, and accommodating. We love that he gets her individualized attention and either walks solo or with his lab mix friend rather than with a huge pack. Jennifer is absolutely a sweetheart. Despite having contacted her so last minute during the holiday season, she squeezed my dear Kayla into her schedule after hearing that my lady is 18 years old. For the past 4-5 years since I adopted Kayla, I never took a vacation in fear of leaving her alone. She's an old love bird that is grumpy, sometimes bitchy, has lots of picky needs when it comes to her feeding times etc. Jennifer dealt with it all - and by all, I mean not only Kayla's needs, but also mine (calming my nerves and dealing with my obsessive and paranoiac whining and dictations). I don't want to ever use anyone else. Jennifer is amazing - I feel utterly secure knowing that she has the keys to my apartment and is watching my cats whenever I am away. One of my cats Arlo is a rescue from the streets, who endured a great deal of trauma including we believe at the hands of humans. He is very shy and does not bond easily with others. Jennifer won him over in short order. Now instead of thinking of him cowering and frightened when I am away, I know he feels loved and cared for in my absence by someone he trusts. She has the kind of vibe and energy that puts both humans and non-humans at ease! Ahhh. She is utterly dependable, kind, intuitive, and I know that should any medical issues come up in my absence, she will use good judgment and her excellent vet asst background to make sure my cats are well cared for. That is especially comforting given that my other cat Spike is nearly 14 years old! Had a wonderful experience with Jennifer at PetSittingPod this past week. My husband and I turned to her after we had already left town when other arrangements we made for our two cats fell through. Jennifer was great and jumped right in and checked in on our two cats everyday while we were gone. She has an Instagram feed where she posts daily pictures which were quite a treat. The best is that she has experience in veterinary care which is great because one of our cats takes two pills a day for a thyroid condition and cab be a bit difficult. In addition to giving the pills and generally taking care of the cats, she sent email updates periodically if she noticed anything out of sorts (e.g. when our cats were not eating much of their wet food). That was really above and beyond and much appreciated. Her rates are very reasonable and we'll definitely be using her services again in the future. read more
