Our dog needed a shave, so the other reviews warning about shaves didn't concern me. Very nice fellow, easy to deal with. His shaving is very aggressive - I didn't know you could get that much hair off a dog! - but it's what we asked him to do, albeit to a more extreme degree than many places do. Updating my review! Richie and his family have groomed, boarded and trained my pups, we have been clients since they were 5 months old. Richie and his entire family have taken such amazing care of our dogs, his grooming is impeccable, he communicates while grooming to let you know how it is going, asks you want you want and explains everything. Horrible experience! #1 rule for a Pomeranian never to shave/clip them them as a certified groomer ... this Pomeranian should've never been shaved. For dogs with two coats, you don't shave them you're supposed to clip them and these people are not professionals. Also, my dog recently had Fho surgery, and when he came home, he was limping, which they did not take my precautions into consideration. Yes, they sent pictures, but was I given a live stream now I was not . And my poor dog has to suffer with the pain and I have that visit that back my statement as he is in physical therapy. i would give this man a 0 , if i could. he is the worst groomer i have ever met. i have a shipoo and you never totally shave a shipoo. especially the face, muzzle and tail. that is what makes the dog. its not a beagle. he does not know how to groom different types of dogs!!! he traumatized my dog and myself and family,when we saw what she looked like! she is 12, in 12 years i have never had anyone shave off her beautiful face,ears,tail. i even gave him pictures and told him to leave tail and hair on top to his father that works with him beware if you love your dog. if you look at some of the pictures he posts he pulls dogs nails out!!! read more

I had the best experience with the services provided by RD Doggie Doos. My fur baby (Buddy) was in desperate need of de-shedding and he came back so clean and happy. I brought my Samoyed, Guts, today for the first time and they took such good care of him. He gets crippling anxiety when it comes to the groomers to the point that he has been asked not to return to all of the places I have taken him before (he tries to bite the groomer out of fear). I can't say enough for these folks. My dog is high strung, anxious around strangers, and in her 11 years, has never successfully been groomed by anyone outside of what we could do at home. Found this groomer while searching for local groomers in my area besides the usual big-chain places we normally take our toy poodle for grooming. A little background; my 3 year old male toy poodle has been "banned" from 2 Petco locations because he gets very anxious at grooming time (he was probably hurt at some point, to be honest). He especially hates when they try to clip his nails and groom his paws and would get a little aggressive with the groomers. Last time I took him to my local Petco, they called me 20 mins later to tell me they couldn't finish the groom because he was trying to bite the groomer whenever she reached for his paws. So I decided to try other places. Ritchie from RD Doggie Doos reached out to me after I submitted an inquiry online and I explained the issue we were having. He immediately reassured me and said "we can handle it" and they sure did. He booked our appointment, we dropped our dog off to Wayne, we explained his behavior issues during grooming and he reassured me that they would get the job done. 2 hours later we were notified that he was ready for pick up. When we arrived the pick him up, Wayne was very through in explaining how they were able to get the job done and find a workaround for our dog's "behavior" issue, whereas Petco didn't even try. I'm very happy with the service we received, our dog was finally groomed fully, his nails cut finally and he seemed to really like Wayne. We will definitely be bringing Teddy back read more

I called Richie last minute in a pinch -- we had finicky and allergy-prone family coming over that night and our big black labs smelled like 2 old hairy dogs.
